    Nice mod and Congratulations!

    But just for the question...

Why the Greeks are equiped with ak's?

I think its to do with the short article fingolfin posted on the previous page "Kalashnikov assault rifles, PKM machine guns and RPG-7 anti-tank weapons were ordered from the Soviet Union and Romania to replace obsolescent World War II-era small arms." and since altis is its own country i dont see why they should be restricted to equipment used by Greece...

well another american vs russian conflict or desert conflict to drain my already bored senses.  You know they have hit rock bottom when they are selling off maps of arma.

Get some life into it and go into the ww2 area.

Iron front was a good idea but was poorly executed with many bugs and it needed multiple things to make it work.  Why cant they actually bring out a game that doesnt need a zillion mods to actually work  !!!!

Call of duty is doing well with its new ww2 installment, I think a WW2 installment of arma 4 would be excellent.

If there was a WW2 installment then we all know it'd take place in 1944-45, would only focus on the US out of all the allies and would probably take place in Normandy / France... So i'd rather not be shackled with WW2...

The Horizon Islands are considerably smaller than Jamaica... The Gendarmerie fills the roll of paramilitary and would likely act as an armed force during times of war as well as being Police, This is the case with some other small pacific nations such as Tuvalu, Palau and the Marshall Islands and in the event of war they would rely on the US or Commonwealth Nations for support and protection.

  4. I've been making missions for my friends for a while and i've been uncertain about what i can and cannot do with static assets from DLCs in missions. The best example of this is Laws of War where only half my friends have it, Would they be able to see any assets such as food sacks, tents or furniture if they dont have the DLC? Or would they get kicked or not be able to see them?

    Thanks in advance :scratchchin:

Hey Jarrad as you have lots of factions now, it would be great to put a sufix on then, something like "[SFF] XYZ faction (RHS required)" or "[SFF] XYZ faction (non-RHS)". Then they would be grouped on arma launcher...

Just a suggestion from a guy with severe OCD. =P

Isnt that what "[SFF]" and "[SFF-R]" are for? I've always thought it worked that way atleast...

  6. Yeah, From what i've experience the BI Forums are one of the friendlier places and this is where i lurk most days since i withdrew from MP and i'd put that down to the active moderation. I'd been in a unit for about two and a half years when i came out and i ended up leaving very soon after because of how people started treating me with open hostility. I'm not sure how its been for other trans people but thats how its been for me.

I have been considering a Western-equipped militia or irregular OPFOR group, yes- originally I was looking into gangs like MS-13 and the like, but I might do a kind of generic Western revolutionaries or something, lots of civilian/guerrilla gear and western weapons and uniforms such as AR platforms and the like. The reason I haven't done it yet is because I feel like making a group (example Antifa) as an actual terrorist group could get me some hate, which I prefer to avoid, so I'll likely use a generic name (and also increase the amount of gear and weapons they have simply because Arma AI don't handle guys armed with pistols, for example, very well.

You could create a generic militia somewhat inspired by some of the various militias you hear about in some areas of the US... Attaching any specific political tags to a western irregular group would probably get you flak.

As GM will also provide elements of other nations present in NORTHAG ( eg Belgian and Dutch forces), this might not remain a dream. Tho first step will most likely be LANDJUT (Danish, German)

I could see you guys adding the Dutch, Belgians and Danes if you wanted to do additional factions since theres common equipment there but i wouldnt expect you to do any BAOR assets thats a pretty big ask :grinning:

Yep! That would add the Brits, Dutch, Belgian and French militaries to the lineup. Add the Poles and Romanians and that would give us the largest militaries from both sides. It's unlikely that all of those armies and their equipment will ever make it to A3 but we can always dream. :grinning:

I think the British Army of the Rhine is a bit beyond the capacity of GM since theres not alot of common equipment used between them and West Germany, Denmark etc and doing it might be a strain on their resources... It'd be nice if there was a mod for it but i dont think us brits are that popular in the cold war :scratchchin:

And the CSLA mod!  Don't forget that one. It was one of the best A2 mods available and came with an awesome campaign. All three mods together will give us the US military and the Bundeswehr for the NATO side and the Soviets, DDR and Czechs for the Warsaw Pact side. If we can get a few more combatants for each side, we could be in Cold War Heaven!

Now all we need is someone to do a mod for NORTHAG :satisfied:

Edit: No, i'm not asking you guys to do it i'm just saying thats the only thing we dont have a mod for now
