[SP]Dynamic Universal War System (DUWS alpha0.1)
greengriffon replied to kibot's topic in ARMA 3 - USER MISSIONS
Maybe the fact that the mission hasn't been updated in ages has something to do with it? Just a hunch. -
I've used these buildings and walls in a few missions I've created. Although it was over a year ago, I was getting bizarre behavior with AI having no awareness of anything around them, not moving into adjacent areas through open doorways, and all sorts of issues. This was happening with an otherwise vanilla mod profile, so I could rule out any other mod causing the AI problems. I stopped using this addon for this reason. To the best of my knowledge, this mod hasn't been updated in a very long time so I have no reason to think the issues have been fixed since then.

TPW MODS: enhanced realism and immersion for Arma 3 SP.
greengriffon replied to tpw's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Hi, sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm looking to isolate just two of the scripts in this package for a personal mission. If I just wanted the random civilians and the cars driving, which files would I need to pull out? I'm only asking because it's not clear to me if there are any inter-dependencies. Thanks for any help.- 5767 replies

NATO SF and Russian Spetsnaz WEAPONS for A3
greengriffon replied to massi's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I'm going to have to echo the sentiments of my forum comrades here. If you could please fix the launchers Massi, that would be great. My mission development has ground to a halt on account of this issue alone :) GG -
TPW MODS: enhanced realism and immersion for Arma 3 SP.
greengriffon replied to tpw's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
That's awesome news TPW, thank you. Can't wait to see that in action. I will also showcase the new version on my blog once you release it. Griff- 5767 replies

These scripts are coming in very handy, thank you very much lukrop. -
Thanks very much for the update!

Well, as Taosenai pointed out, the mod is released under GPL and you are free to mod it as you please. Let us know what you come up with.

[OPEN BETA] [SP] bCombat infantry AI Mod
greengriffon replied to fabrizio_t's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Sure, I'll give it another run. I'm writing up a guide to AI that I will be posting on my site, so I've been testing different combinations to see what works best. Thanks for the heads up. -
A folded paper map is usually folded in thirds. So no, when you pull it out and open it up, it should not center on the player. It should open up to the portion of the map that the player resides in, whether he is in the center of the map, or on the very edge of it. This is not an iPad app....it's a pre-folded piece of paper.

[OPEN BETA] [SP] bCombat infantry AI Mod
greengriffon replied to fabrizio_t's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I see quite a lot of wonky behavior with Bcombat, to the point where I have set it aside until the next release, to see where it goes. As for that video comparison, I don't think it's a particularly flattering example on which to judge either mod. Both have their strong points, and it's not an apples-to-apples comparison that can be measured by a single 4-minute meeting engagement. -
lukrop's customized configs
greengriffon replied to lukrop's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Great job on these scripts, and thanks for sharing them! -
Rude remarks like, "I'll have to see a video to believe you on that one" and "I honestly doubt it" are a little different than asking nicely to see a video.
-
Or instead of asking other people to go through the effort of proving it to you, and this may sound crazy, but you could actually try it out and see for yourself. EDIT - And thank you very much for the update Robalo. This is our go-to mod for AI, and as far as I'm concerned, still the best and most consistent one available.

Blastcore: Phoenix 2
greengriffon replied to Opticalsnare's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
And I think you *under*-read his post, Predator. "ive scaled down the modding work currently being done at the moment to none" = Blastcore is no longer being actively developed. "im having a break probably for awhile" = who knows when or if he's coming back. Therefore, until further notice, it's pretty safe to say Blastcore is dead. -
MCC Sandbox 3 - Dynamic mission creating tool for ArmA 3
greengriffon replied to shay_gman's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Whoa, take it easy there fella. The concept of a dynamic mission tool existed years before Shay came around, within BI's own ranks no less. That's first of all. Second, we are all modding BI's game, and using their platform that they have provided us to do so. No modder has any claim on anything whatsoever - legally, ethically, or otherwise. -

What about all the people who are temporarily putting their gear on the ground, swapping items, etc? They would suddenly lose their stuff. -

There are new corpse removal parameters now that can be added to the description.ext. That way, you won't have to rely on garbage collector scripts because you'll never go over the threshold you set (assuming they're reasonable). Check way down at the bottom of this list: https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Description.ext Maybe that will help. -
MCC Sandbox 3 - Dynamic mission creating tool for ArmA 3
greengriffon replied to shay_gman's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Yep, "GOD" is exactly what I was referring to. It's WAY too soon to know what ZEUS is or isn't capable of. Don't give up on anything, shay_gman. Your mod is invaluable and will probably continue to be for a long time. -
MCC Sandbox 3 - Dynamic mission creating tool for ArmA 3
greengriffon replied to shay_gman's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Naaah, not at all. Zeus is a new multiplayer mode. Your utility is useful in all game modes, as well as during the mission-making process. I wouldn't worry, I don't see much if any overlap here. There may even be a way to have them complement one another. Time will tell. Keep up the good work. And to anyone hinting that BIS may have "borrowed" the idea from MCC, this concept has been tossed around for years. -
What are you talking about? There are an estimated 500,000 MANPADS (man-portable air defense systems) in the hands of non-military personnel in over 100 countries. Even the most ragtag band of militant extremists often has access to a shoulder launched AA platform.

J.S.R.S. 2.2 Soundmod

Thanks for putting out a fixed package so quickly...much appreciated. -
Just watch a few student pilots learning how to trim properly. You'll see plenty

The RPG units in this mod do not shoot at choppers at all. Only Strelas. I know this because I've tested a mission with over 20 of these units fending off 2 helicopters at least 50 times already.
