  1. well, we know all the problems in arma that has not been fixed since ofp (AI, performance, cpu bottleneck etc). ArmA 3 full was released around 1 year ago (on september 12, it is exactly one year). yet we did not seen any changes in terms of the CPU bottleneck problem, performance problems, the AI problems (bad driving etc). In the feedback tracker, Low CPU/GPU Utilization is the second most voted ticket: http://feedback.arma3.com/plugin.php?page=Vote/list_bugs http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=716 explained: yet we did not heard anything from the devs about this problem. (the first is the use of bipods, but this will come with the marksman DLC i think). in ArmA 2 which was released years ago and in arma 1, these problems (AI; CPU etc) were NEVER fixed. this theard is not talking about fixes or solutions, but if you are willing to buy another BI product after all these cases. Yes ? No? Maybe ? Or any product from BI but no ArmA (means you are willing to buy something like carrier command or any product from them but you wouldnt buy any series from ArmA, even if ArmA 4 would coming out).

    proper bulletholes

    yes i know there are many other things which has much more priority than new bulletholes (MP optimization, AI, FPS etc...) and i want to see increased FPS, MP optimized and better AI too but we have these strange bulletholes since arma combat operations (dont know in OFP because i never really played it) and with every release of arma, BI improved many visual aspects in each arma but didn´t really taste the bulletholes. in arma 3 we got complete new effects for fire, smoke, water etc which is awesome. why not recreate the bulletholes in arma 3 ? that are the bulletholes in arma 3, the only bullethole effect which got a LITTLE new look is the ground bullethole (not in screen) and remember: the bullethole is the same on EVERY material which means: if you shoot against metal, it looks like on the screen. if you shoot against wood, trees, vehicles etc... it looks like the same as in the screen on every material. http://i58.tinypic.com/212s6qw.jpg (176 kB) why not have proper bulletholes for each material like for example in crysis or half-life 2 and remove that round dark spot what we have now. why not have bulletholes like this if you shoot against glass ? http://us.123rf.com/400wm/400/400/alptraum/alptraum1103/alptraum110300065/9194941-bullet-hole-in-glass-closeup-and-isolated-on-solid-black-actual-gunshot-from-a-44-handgun.jpg (108 kB) and these if you shoot against metal/vehicles and similar things: http://www.ghettoredhot.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/los-angeles-bullet-hole-mini-van.jpg (116 kB) and these if you shoot against walls/buildings etc..
  3. hello, i have a few questions about the falklands terrain 40km x 40km from here: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?95648-Falkland-Islands-Map-Ideas-Discussion-amp-Demo-Terrains MAIN Questions: 1. is it possible to increase the size from 4096x4096 to 8192x8192 (since arma 3 terrain builder supports 8192x8192) and decrease cell size? for example 2. for filling the map, does the 5,000,000 object limit still exist (unlike in arma 2) or can we use more than 5,000,000 objects without terrain builder/buldozer crash? +++TWO MOST IMPORTANT QUESTIONS+++ side questions: 1. with a 40km x 40km overall size, how much km2 of it is actually the terrain/island itself without water? for example altis is total about 900km2 but without water (only the island itself) is 270 km2. 2. is the guy in this video using the same falklands 40x40km terrain? 3. is it possible to increase the falklands terrain? i plan to build a large scale island based on the falklands terrain but with much edited stuff like more hills, jungle(maybe only, i have many ideas), urban cities and stuff like that thanks

Missing Features. This means Features which were in the previous OFP/ArmA titles, but are cut in ArmA 3. Or features which were shown to us during ArmA 3 development but were also cut. (Examples: 3D Interior for Vehicles from OFP, Ponds from ArmA 2, Womens from All previous OFP/ArmA titles etc) This means NO features which you miss but was never before in the previous OFP/ArmA titles.

  11. ofcourse not everyone in russia is pro-government, but the majority. you really think i just visited russia 2 times, talked with my family, came back and know everyone in russia is pro-government ? to find that out, you have to talk with the people who live in russia, which i did. ofcourse i didnt talk to all russians out there, but with enough. the majority is pro-government, thats a fact and you will find that out if you go to russia, no matter how hard you try to deny it. from your post, i can see that you was never in russia nor did u talked to russians in russia personally. i know that because i did it and i am 900% sure that if u did, the results wouldnt match with your opinion. anyway, you aswell as everyone are welcome in russia, you can go to russia everytime you want to see if you are right or not. go there, talk with the peoples. i never mentioned in my post above that my family is pro-government (though they are pro-government like the majority of russians), i just mentioned that i have russian family, all born in former soviet union which some of my family lives in glazov, russia. so how can you make the claim that i say all russians are pro-government because my grandparents are, when i didnt said it before ? NOW i say that my grandparents are pro-government (aswell as my whole family is). back to the minority who is anti-government in russia: yes there are some: there are left-wing, right-wing, from U.S and EU paid protesters (pussy riot), idiots who believe that putin is a puppet of israel & usa (very minority) and people who just give a fuck about politics and hate every politician leader of this world. that are facts, which you will see if you go to russia yourself. i dunno if russian media manipulates, maybe yes, maybo no, maybe yes and no. but im sure that western media manipulates and western leaders and i prefer putin & russia media than our western media propaganda maschines and our brutal leaders who invade one country and another for opium, oil etc and excuse these intervention with lies. oh and please: let the russians decide what is good for theyr country and what not. now we should better back to topic, since this theard is about USA, not russia, before we both get a warning.

  14. since i am born in a russian family (all my family was born in former soviet union, kazakhstan part) and i have family in russia (glazov) and was 2 times there, i know that most russians support the current russian government. medias (mostly western media) are lying when it comes to russian government and that people are against them. ofcourse there are some protests in russia, but every country has them and those protests are MOSTLY left-wing, people who wants the USSR back or paid protesters by the rothschilds&rockefeller (like they did it with libya & syria) the first president of the russian federation, he was bad and he was accepted by the western governments as legitime president. now someone who got elected & is better than the old one (who was drunken and a puppet) and fixes the mess that what the first president has done, the western media & government talk bad about the current government. i say: do not believe everything what the western media & government tells you. if you want to see the truth, go to russia. i was, 2 times, visiting my family there, i know what im talking about.

    ok its me havatan19 and since im back with my real account, i will answer now the posts i wanted to answer last time before a mod banned me. mistyronin: Nodunit: the reason why i asked this was: because there are some people out there who wish to nuke russia (not only russia, but iran, china etc too) and this is the reason why im asking. yes i hate western governments, but i dont hate the USA and the europe (not confound with the EU, i hate the EU) just because i hate its governments. btw, there are also idiots in russia who wants the USA to get nuked. i distance myself from them like you seem to distance from the idiots who want russia gets nuked. oh and beastcat, please read my posts again, i talked only about the governments + i never mentioned nukes in the second post you quoted :)

    AI Spawn Script Pack

    i love your script, i made world war IV and its awesome and performance friendly even with many AI spawning around you. but i have some ideas you could do, so me and others can do world war V in arma 3: 1. what about an ambient air combat script ? the script spawn mainly jets when u are in the air and the BLUFOR-OPFOR-INDFOR jets fighting each other and you when u are flying with a helicopter or a jet. same as ambient combat you could define which faction jets appear, how many jets at once spawn in the air, min delay spawn, max delay spawn, distance spawn etc... the only hardest part of it would be = to make them spawn only if you are in the air. but if you can´t do that, its no problem when they spawn even if you are on the ground, it would be awesome too. for the rest: i think it wouldnt be hard to do, just copy the ambientcombat script, paste it with a new name and replace all the units that ambient combat spawn, with jets & helicopters and make them spawn in flying mode. 2. could you add a script which let you spawn random convoys near @ you ? just like the ALIVE module had it (but they removed it idk why). and here the define of max amount spawn at the same time, spawn delay etc.. 3. could you add a define for the ambientcombat script which let you define of how many vehicles spawn at the same time ? like on the militarize script, it lets you define of how many vehicles spawn. 4. could you make a trigger version of the militarize script ? so the militarize script spawn units near at you no matter where you go, just like the ambientcombat script. or is it possible to make it as trigger in the editor or via script ? if yes, can you explain how ? 5. could you make a script which spawns random artillery/mortar impacts and CAS support (all types, missle run, gun run, missile & gun run) around you ? where you can define the amount of mortar/artillery impacts and CAS attacks ? the mortar/artillery/CAS attacks could be spawn together when units/vehicles spawn, for example when a group of opfor spawn, then a CAS jet will spawn at the same time and attack the opfor group which spawned at the same time with the group and you could make it that not every group that spawn, will automaticlly attacked by mortars/artillery impacts and/or CAS attacks. example: first time: BLUFOR group spawn, at the same time, artillery will impact where the group spawned second time: a group spawn again, but this time there wont be a artillery/mortar/CAS attack. third time: there could be another attack, but must not be. here is a example script where helis spawn and may crash, you can define there the chance that the helicopter crash and its random, means: first time heli spawn, no crash, second time the heli spawns, there maybe a crash etc: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?185574-RELEASE-Helicopter-Crash-Script-Scripted-Heli-Flyovers if this isnt possible, could you make the script just spawn random artillery/mortar/CAS attacks around you ? since factions from all 3 sides spawn around you, there could be a chance that the artillery/mortar/CAS attacks hit them and there could be a chance of friendly hits/friendly fire, which is also realistic too. thats all for now. nice work :)

    hello, we all know ponds are not supported in arma 3. it would be good if a dev would talk about this. why are ponds not supported in arma 3/RV4 ? will you (devs) add ponds support (or even ponds itself including in altis/stratis) sooner or later ?

    What is bottlenecking my PC?

    do not listen to those who say that your system is the problem. its fact that its a game problem and only BI can fix it. 128 GB RAM, Intel Core I10 with 8 core 12 GHZ, Geforce GTX999 with 20 GB VRAM wont fix the problem.
