  1. Hey Fr33d0M, are you still around man? BadHabitz has taken a break from our group for the time being, but I am still interested in arranging games now and then. I noticed that your http://www.tmnclan.com/ website has actually gone down, and has been replaced with the one at http://www.mediusgaming.com/ Is this the new main page from now on? (P.S. Thanks for the PMC focused missions and assets, there pretty kick-ass!)
  2. Think Marksman Scopes from Red Orchestra, or the game Silent Scope, in which a 3D scope is displayed in your regular field of view when you aim your rifle. As opposed to the current format of zooming in your vision, and overlaying a scope image that reflects lighting conditions behind your character. Currently the issue with a Render To Texture (RTT) Scope is the same issue faced with PIP Screens and Mirrors, the image quality is not supported by the function too the required size. This leads to "jumpy" and low quality images, also the RTT function is fairly resource intensive as you are effectivly rendering the terrain twice on the same client. IF, and this is a might big if, this is implemented in the Marksman DLC, it will also mean a big overhaul of the current PIP/RTT function in the game engine.

    Authentic Gameplay Modification

I am wondering if you guys are also considering adding in water consumption/dehydration to add to the gameplay at all? From what I have seen in ArmA, this key part of reality has been neglected almost entirely (unless you take into account DayZ/Wasteland) in most realism modifications. Otherwise I love everything you guys are doing here. Simply amazing stuff.
  4. Flares run out. Then your screwed and crashing. IR Jammers are a far more effective countermeasure. If they are designed with an overheat function, they can be used tactically to spoof missiles effectivly.......but only if your are very smart about usage, have good timing, and a small measure of luck. If you want a taste of this, go check out the AH-64 from NodUnit and Franze. Sykes, Diesel, as always I excited to see more developments!
  5. I dont ever remember seeing this while playing with the bird, is this something that you guys have been hiding?
  6. Sorry to have to say this NouberNou, but most people would prefer to have the ability to control their voice output. The lads over at ShackTac proved that fact back in ArmA2 with their ACRE Volume Control which proved to be very popular.

    SAM systems

The C-RAM addon might be an effective AAA model that you might want to look into using. It is not a "traditional" Surface to Air Missile system, but can be coded to function very effectivly as a Anti-Aircraft Artillery Piece. Will the Tigris/Cheetah/Shilka not be effective targets as they are already in the game?
  8. The second video is to display a concept of how the system might work. A better idea can be attained from Dslyecxi's MH-6 Sensor Pod Concept
  9. I am certan that at a very near point in time, I will have to address Image Intensification (NVG/IR) and Situational Awareness with my work on the UIHADSS. If I come up with anything usable, I will be sure to share it with you for this project.

    Flares = Useless?

From testing with All in ArmA and NodUnit & Franz's AH-64 my community has found that there are two separate methods that can be used to track air targets, and therefore evaded. First is the Radar Tracking, this is only found in the Shilka and the RF Hellfire as far as I am aware. To evade the AA launches, Chaff is used to confuse the signal, as are RF jammers. Second is Infra-Red Tracking, The Cheetah and Tigris both rely upon IR Tracking as do almost every single AA launcher in A2/A3 that has been tested. This means that Flares are effective, but not 100% effective at evading the launcher. The AH-64 in its basic A2 format features both IR and RF jammers, and a chaff launcher, meaning that it can evade most launches. Out community modified the AH-64's in a number of ways to be used in A3 during our missions. When doing so we changed the Chaff launcher to deploy Flares to be able to counteract AA threats more effectivly. The BIG danger with Flares is that based on your power output, distance, speed, elevation, and direction of movement, they may not be effective at all. If you are in a +100m hover with auto-hover on, you have made yourself a MASSIVE stationary target throwing off a massive heat signature. Flares cannot negate the big old "HIT ME" sign that your engine is throwing off, and you will likely be shot down. Remember that Flares are only there to give you a chance, not to be the defacto method of avoiding AA launches. Use of masking terrain, air strikes, artillery, paratroopers, or some fairly advanced gunship tactics (slashing attacks and standoff missile strikes outside 6km) should all be considered before approaching a known AA threat. Feel free to PM me with any questions on the matter, I have been doing Gunship (AH-99/AH-64) piloting for about 6 months now and have placed quite a bit of time on developing sound AA evasion methods. Hopefully this information is of some assistance.

    NATO/Russian AK SOPMOD Pack WIP

Will we be seeing anything in 9x39mm such as the AS Val or VSS Vintorez by any chance?

    NATO/Russian AK SOPMOD Pack WIP

Seeing such a high quality and all emcompassing AK pack has me in many different forms of excitement :D One question I would like to ask though, do you have intentions of following up your inital release with an Underwater Varient similar to the APS or the ASM-DT? It would be nice to have something else other than the SDAR to use during amphibious operations. ^_^ Otherwise. WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS THE EXCITE THAT I CONTAIN!

    Payday Mod

I think my community might be able to assist, we are a PMC based communty, so that cashflow idea REALLY plays well into our core focus. Shoot me a PM if you are still looking. Cheers. (Cant wait to give this a shake later today ;) )
  16. Would it be possible to change the "Paradrop Start Zone" outside the island to become an addaction off the mousewheel once you enter the "Deploy Zone"? I have encountered this a few times, where BLUEFOR will be attacked at the island spawn area, but cannot commit to pursuit due to being paradropped if they leave the initial spawn area.......this also adds a bit of frustration if players wish to conduct an Anphebious Assault from the Island due to being forces to Paradrop. Thanks for taking my suggestion on the A3 Wounding System, I know Psyco is currently in the process of going insane due to the bugs with the Wounding System....as can be seen on his post on the script. Anyway, Thanks again for a VERY enjoyable mission that really breaks the mold on what an mission is.
  17. Hey Sasha I would just like to say that I simply adore this modification. Ever since I switched to ArmA 3 from ArmA 2 ACE I have been hoping that there would be a similar modification added to replicate the DAGR from ACE. I must say that combining this mod with the Land Navigation Module has proved to be a VERY immersive and fun experience.......espicially when your squad gets lost ;) My only two grips with the modification in its current format is a lack of a method to "replace batteries", and the seeming lack in "Satellight Connection Lost" when in Urban or heavily forrested areas that is normally experienced with the real thing (but was also not included with ACE, so moot point really). This has not been a killer for me in any way, shape, or form, but merely a minor thing that keeps popping up in my mind when I use the GPS. Anyway, to say it again as I dont think I can say it enough. THANK YOU!
  18. The other option you may want to consider for a medical system is the A3 Wounding System. I like Farooq's work, but I have found this system to be superior due to the wounding mechanics, AI support, and ability to drag/carry friendlies as well as having a similar treatment system. One other thing that I wanted to ask, why is it when you respawn, your ammunition/equipment is not also respawned to the levels you originally selected, and are instead at the levels that you had when you were killed? I have had a few experiences where I even respawned with my uniform inside my backpack/vest due to some weird black magic related to the respawn method. Anyway, Love the mission!
