  1. I'm am a huge halo fan (of the Bungie era) and this project makes me very happy and very nostalgic. My only gripe is that the technology used in the mod seems anachronistic. Since this mod takes place on Eridanus, the Marines, ODSTs, weapons and vehicles should be based on those from the Halo:Reach/Pre-2552 period in the timeline.

    As it stands, the mod has a weird mix of weapons (MA5 instead of MA37; BR instead of the DMR), armor (Halo 3 ODSTs but Reach Marines/Army) and vehicles (Halo 3 vehicle variants). Any plans to address this down the road or should I just chalk this up to artistic licence?

    You're gonna just have to chalk it up to license. We're not going to go back and redo entire models just because some of it isn't canon.

    I wanted to ask if you will be added to the helmet strap and if in ODST armor will be changed. I do not say to change it totally, but only to make it more similar to the model used in HALO Reach .. all models are fantastic and made these little details would add that little that I think is missing ...

    Armour has actually had an upgrade thanks to you. We're not gonna make it exactly the same, but we're making do with what we have.

  3. I could include a UV map, sure. The files themselves are quite large, so I'm going to host them off of another server so people who dont wanna mess with textures dont have to download a 45mb PSD file for each part.

  4. Hey folks, I did some dicking around with photoshop. I created a uniform with digital pattern woodland camo (I think its some kind of russian camo), looks the part IMHO. I also toyed around with normal maps, made the zipper more visible and removed gloss and reflection properties from the cloth parts of the uniform (it kind annoyed me TBH). Note that this was mainly to learn how Arma 3 does the textures and stuff.

    If you guys are interested in adding that camo pattern to the mod let me know and I will send you the files.

    Man, I would love to have a version of the uniform that adds bracers on the forearms.

    BTW: I just noticed the odd shadow bug between legs when the vest is worn.
