Springfield's getting reupped with an actual NEW pbo. RE: that RHS dependency in the CUP aug compat, is it still giving the AUGs CUP GL rounds, and is this through steam workshop?

    Funny you mention the Minigun,RHS has my sources, and there's not a whole lot of fanagling or extra gear that needs to be added on top to make it a Crew-served weapon( Proper M134D/G Spadegrips and control box are the biggest ones IIRC), so that's still definitely on the cards somewhere, and the 1903A3 and A4s are weapons I'll get around to actually doing (considering how few things actually need to be built for them) eventually.... probably in some downperiod between now and october.

    Echoing Roadkill's comments,yeah, calm the fuck down everyone. War_lord is my PR guy because a) I'm admittedly BAD at it, despite best efforts, especially in regards to response times and B) he offered upfront. If I'd had competing offers there might have been some sort of been some raffle, or straw-lottery or something, but as it is there was none, so War_lord is it. Not everyone has to be coders or artists to be helpful, and War_lord has been immensely, as having a a set of eyes dedicated to responding to comments and PMs has freed up hours of extra time I can spend on something like this- ..while also keeping PLETHORA of back-content up to date (and even then only with some extra help). Please stop complaining about him, he's here to get you answers in an expedient manner where you'd be otherwise waiting weeks, so is as much for your benefit as he is mine. In any case, to actually reiterate what War_lord said on the last page, providing YoursTruly or Robalo (sincerely appreciate your guys work) don't have any major commits they want to add in the next week or so, I'm looking to push out patches that are mostly just to address the Apex config bugs next week. And there'll be MGs following after that so quit your bitching.

    I did see your post in the old thread, and I am aware of it. Originally, It seemed like it was CUP or RHS messing with it, but I've tested with both, not them. Frankly, just testing it standalone, I can't replicate it. I know what does that usually does it though, so there's a fix for that coming to be sure.

    I answered it last page, but yes. As to other changes, mostly it's recalibrating zeroing and fixing inheritence, but there's a few extra surprises. EDIt- San-suppressor means without suppressor. HLC_Rifle_honeybase is the badger without the muzzle.

    I haven't used JSRS in a while but if it still uses it's own bullet supersonic snaps script, that might be doing it. Specifically the MP5 subsonic mags have their own round with the snaps set to silence when running them, and the MP5SD will run any of the MP5 mags at subsonic velocity (as it does IRL supposedly). Inside the default sound system, either kills the snaps, so I'm unofficially pointing the finger at JSRS perhaps in this case.

    It's legit, the slide can take the required tapping to do it. I've got a few sources with them, whether that carries over into .mil applications and not just civ/LE I've yet to confirm though. As to whether or not it'll make the pack, don't hold me to a definite answer here, but tentative yes. It'll be probably just the default A3 ones, and it may only be select ones. No, it TECHNICALLY shouldn't have been there yet either. I noticed a couple of days after I uploaded it, and just hoped noone would notice. *shrug* Eh. Happy Easter. More official release soon, with a couple things polished.

  17. Licensing HLC Core HLC Core is the central core to the weapons sets released by me. It contains mostly shared resources like magazine icons, some material templates and textures, sounds, etc. It's required to run any hlc prefixed mod/pbo file. Why? Because some mods are going to share resources and that's just how it is. It contains ALL the animation gestures for the HLC mods, so if you're using them for another mod, you'll need this for those too. Figure this is a better way to do it than to have them all in separate PBOs, and thus a pain in the nutsack to huntdown. Change the constraints on the bones they control, or trying to link constraint to them WILL end very badly. Trust me. I went over the comment threads just to make sure, but the earliest mention from you asking about it was this month.Now I could be wrong about that, and you've been trying to message me through steam or some other way and I've not known/responded. If that's the case, then so be it that I'm terrible at responding, and sorry. However, if that's not, please don't try and misconstrue the public record here. You asked on the HLC core comment thread, I answered, you apparently aren't appeased with that. And again, to reiterate the point- Steam has automation that makes the need for an all-in-one stand alone mod entirely redundant. The only reason I started having that option is because there's a good enough percentage of people downloading through traditional means, and those doesn't neccesarily make all the links easy to find. Workshop lets you make and share collections which can get 30 or 40 mods in a single click, and keeps them current without any input at all(providing you run through the A3 Launcher), it entirely obviates the need for a compendium mods to even exist. Sidenote, somewhat more publically- I do apologise to you, and any other server ops running though SW really, that the rebranding changed all the folder names around unnanouncedly and generally messed with natural order. That's not a side-effect that I was anticipating. But,what's done is done, and I ain't rolling it back. EDIT- while I'm here and there seems to be a few mod around eyes, I uh.. No amount of jiggering with steamappIDs, verifying local data or complete fresh tools reinstall has been able to move it. Once I have a few days breather, back on them. Lafette Tripod static weapons and all. Yes, also not on workshop too.   24. Deliberate. I gave the modern Pictogram triggergroup MP5s the Tri-rails as a trade-off. Honestly, I never thought about the Mod1.. and yeah, it is high in the shoulder. So are the SAWs technically, but it at this point, lowering them would mean some level of substantial character reanimation correct without issue. Yeah I know, again it's one of the tradeoffs with the way ARma does things - the difference between internal and external scope diameter doesn't really allow much wiggle room to give the proper illusion of magnification on the scope (For context, the current 3D scopes across the board are basically just a cylinder that's had the far end expanded to mitigate the effect of perspect... plus some fancy parallax shaders for rings). I mean, I've already shortened it inside to mitigate it too, but if I took away the black rings, you ould see the Scope support struts through your cross hairs if I tried to make it any clearer. That said, if I can find a way to do it that DOESN'T look ass, Trust me, it'll happen. IRL they're zeroed at 100m, like most of the scopes are in ACE by default. The error here comes from not having a dedicated ACE PBO that overwrites the setting, which is something I will have to weigh up. Meantime, alt+pgdown will allow you to escape ACE Ranging and fix the zero to it's lowest (200m), and just add an offset for 100m is to your scope dope. Best til last. Hohkay. So. First off,I appreciate the effort you've gone to compiling this, I do. To address this I think I need to break down what you're trying to get across here- So, to the first bit about the animated sights being worse- I'm kind of 50/50 on it. Granted a lot of that comes down to the system not being foolproof to use or even implement, and the rest of it comes from the system not being fully done on BI's end, but to answer it- No. No I won't be making non-animated Sights versions of weapons with animated sights, even as an optional download, and here's why- Over the last three weeks I've been basically pouring the equivalent to 3 work weeks in my spare time going through the updating a content base the size of while really only gets trumped by dedicated teams by MYSELF looking not only for longstanding weird inheritance quirks (of which there were numerous), but SPECIFCALLY visual issues that could be remedied in short work(oh and reanimating the HK53, because I always hated that animation). It's why there was a lot of RVMAT changes and corrections to the ironsight FOVs in the first place (oh and rollout soundshaders, which are a magnitude more new code of themselves, but I digress). Each weapon, in theory, got about 2 hours of it's own dedicated development time to do all this. The reality of it is less pleasant, as things like fine-tuning GL sights and the afortmentioned animated zeroes at about a day per weapon alone. My point is this, at the end of the day I valued having the point of aim sight on the front post of whatever gun I had than having the rear sights "authentically" align. More often than not, that was going to break the sights or the ballistics. Now you could say I made the wrong choice, that I should have tested more, but quite frankly I'd need a dedicated testing team and I don't have to time to organise that most days. Now, to address the faceted sights and whatnot- the ones where it's bad, there's only so much I can do without them needing to be remodelled. And I stand for the record saying that about the Honeybadger and AK12 ones specifically. BUt, both of those PROBABLY will only happen when I actually get around to remodelling the entire weapons. Which in those cases specifically, might be a while. I'm sorry if this comes off a bit bitter and overly too wordy, but I couldn't find a better way of putting it that didn't come off as insincere, and it's been pretty gruelling slogs to get some of this stuff done. Also, don't take this for me having a go at you or anything, because honestly I appreciate the sentiment, but yeah it's just extra work I don't need to add to the list of New things I've got to do. Probably you'll see some of this remedied over the next 6 months in increments, but there is no way in hell am I going to be fixing all of them in the next few. I am not going back through March 2016 again.
