I want to add the NVG's of a player to their gear in their vests or uniforms, not on their helmets. How do I do that with the Config.cpp.
At the moment I have them added as an item but in game it automatically adds them to their helmets. Is there anyway to stop this?

Ooh, for sure. If you want to PM me that swatch, that'd be awesome! <3I agree on the BLUFOR uniforms, I personally really dislike their design. Details in all the wrong places. But like I've said before, first off would be releasing all three of my packs, then I'll consider any new uniform additions.
Yep, helmets will come soon. I think the more regular forces camo (UCP, MARPAT, M81, DCU, chocochip, etc) will get a matching PASGT cover. I might do a few variants of BI's various MICH2001/ECH helmets too.
Yeah awesome, I think the more helmet variations we have the better. Might also want to look at doing the ACH helmet used by the independents. Looking forward to it, hope all goes well.
Secondly, I noticed you didnt have a Desert Marpat vest, that might be something you want to do, just so those units are matching.

This addon looks awesome, would love to use in my US Army mod, but I would need helmets in the same camos so if those are nearby that would make me very happy. Looking forward to some future updates.

Basically this sums up all I was trying to say.If its too many camo's to choose from then I'll just stick to Multicam or Scorpion - whichever you believe is better. Realistically the Army's transitioning to Scorpion and it is replacing UCPs.
Yeah I understand what you both are saying. I have changed the Woodland camo to the new multicam which craig released with the newest update to the US pack which I think looks alot more authentic like you guys where saying.
But I switched to the Marpat Desert camo for the desert variation because I thought it looked like current desert camo.
Same thing with the Digital camo.
This update should be good to go, and should be launched in a couple of hours.

i prefer the M88, however if a unit spawns with two pairs of goggles then it would look weird.Yeah I can change that type of helmet. Alright I think I might go with the M88 then. I'll wait and see what other people say.

I might actually go with both of them, like Squad and fire team leaders have the ACH and normal units have M88. Add some variety.

IMO the M88 in your screen looks more like the ACH in real life than the supposed to be ACH.And the ACH in your screen looks like the M88 in RL :rolleyes:

Cant even tell any major differences by looks so its up to you.BDUs and DCUs would be the way to go, and I understand that you're representing a modern US Army. I know where your coming from but with all of the recent combat from the middle east, the most common camo's found there are digital. Therefore the old BDU's and DCU's are from older conflict like Vietnam, so I think the statement saying its more recent in incorrect, but I may be wrong.
So for the time being I m sticking with the digital camos.

Alright guys, I'm updated the units for the new uniforms and helmets, and I was wandering which helmet should I use.

I feel the M88 looks nicer, but I think the ACH is the standard helmet at the moment so I am more leaning towards the ACH.
What is everyones thoughts?

Also I feel that the new Marpat Woodland 2001 is too yellow, and not enough green. What do you guys think would be a good substitute?

From what I see, they don't look right. It's best to copy the default Nato forces groups. Ie, infantry, mechanized, ect.Did you refer to the alive instructions? Thats also why I asked you to add placeholder for all the parts of the groups not already made (Ie in mechanized, put the default nato humvee type vehicle with your units. Ect.)
I did everything that the Alive page said, which is why I am wandering why its not working.
Secondly about the placeholder, I have message alot of people and have still no luck figuring out how to make a vehicle (Car/Truck) class, so when I get back next week I will have a play with it all.

I will hopefully be updating this mod soon to remove the CSE prerequisite, but I will be keeping the RH_M4 one because I think those are needed.
I will also hopefully be updating this pack with its own AK's so the criminals will have AK's.
So look forward to an update soon.

Sorry I am on holidays at the moment.
I havent tried Alive with my groups, but there is no reason why they shouldnt work so give them a shot and let me know if they work.
If they don't then I need to have a play with them.

Craig just released an update for his US pack fixing a ton of texture and they now look really nice, so expect an update from my pack end of next week with all of this new gear.

I am looking for acouple of AK's. I would like to get the Ak-47, Ak-47 GL, AKM, and RPK. If anyone has any of those models and they would like to give them to me for use in my up coming Insurgent mod, that would be much appreciated.
Full credit would go to the original owner when I release the mod public.
Second Note: I would like these Ak's to have just the standard Arma 2 sounds.

You could use M939 trucks alongside the HEMTTs for a lighter-duty truck available here. What ACE had in A2 was great - had M2 MG variants and open tops..Yeah expect adding a mod that big woud put alot of people off. I might just stick with the Up armored Humvees at the moment.
Also I've been speaking with Craig and he is about to release an update for his US Pack which will update alot of the camos so expect a large update on my mod within the coming weeks.

Alright I'm updating the helmet and I am torn between the ACH (retextured by Craig in his US pack) or the ECH Light (In game original helmet). I really like the look of the ECH light, but I know that the ACH is the standard helmet at the moment. Which one should I chose?

MTVRs arent used by the Army - only by the Marines and Navy. They use the HEMTTs (already in game) and the FMTVs (replacing M939 trucks).Alright I'll have a look around and try to find some nice vehicles mods I could use. Shame the HAFM Helis are broken because I would love to add those.

Not sure where this thread should go, so I apologize if I place it in the wrong spot, but I was looking to see if anyone had any open AK ports from Arma 2.
I was looking for the standard AK47, AKM, RPK, AK 47 GL with the original sounds from A2, so just your standard port, nothing special.
I was looking at adding these to my Insurgent mod, so if anyone has open ports of these working in Arma 3, or has any ports that I could use, that would be much appreciated.

Yeah I was looking at doing that, so it will probably be the next update. I would expect it in around 2 weeks because I am away for one week next week so I will not be able to work on anything then. So beginning of August of would expect this update.

I would have to agree, release an dependency free version would be better. I will allow community's to add their own choice of weapons via mission editing and scripting.I might look at doing that, just busy with real life at the moment so I will post if I get to changing the requirements.

Just a thought with the units, would you be able to have them as a optional mod, because my community uses this mod for the aircraft, and we would prefer to have a smaller download because we do not need the units.
I think some other people would agree with me on this.
