    Ive noticed a new option in 3DEN under attributes called CUP static line attributes does anyone know what this is for?

    It gives the player the option to do a static line para jump from a capable aircraft. Its really awesome, I just wish I could work out how to get the AI to use it too ><

    Did some reference hunting, it looks justifiably unique. I will make some. I also want to make some vanilla LBH retextures, very generic and underrated. Thinking olive drab, DPM, Dutch DPM, US Woodland, and maybe AAF digi.

    That is a great idea! Looking forward to the results. Ive spent all morning throwing togeather some Belgium units and Ive gotta say I'm loving it.

    Yes, thats the M10. A few patterns might maybe get some hats but I really don't want to make a lot of hats, I don't personally use hats very often.

    I think the Dutch DPM is very much like the Portuguese DPM in that it is very much the same as British DPM

    P3A6aW1.jpgFrom left to right: Portuguese, British, Dutch. British and Portuguese are literally the same in color and shape. It is worth noting that the lighting on the Dutch is not much like the other two. Despite that, the Dutch does indeed have a more yellow background and the shapes are a little different, but I think the differences are fairly negligible. I just worry that if I made a new uniform in one of these patterns, they will appear no different from the DPM I've already made and it would be a general waste of resources. I can look at some references of Dutch forces and see how it looks in normal light and on their uniforms and determine if its an effort worthwhile. Glad you like them. I hoped to provide something that would help expand the pool of militaries one could use and make them something better looking and more true-to life than the same old boring vanilla NATO notCrye uniforms and the AAF Massif uniforms with the notPASGT helmets.

    They are indeed very close! I'm no expert but I believe the biggest different between dutch and brit dpm is as you mentioned the slightly yellower hue and the brit version has the little spots around the black where as the dutch doesn't. I totally understand where you are coming from boss and will say no more on the matter ;)

    But as I said, wonderful addition, recently Ive been playing around making various NATO themed peace keeping missions and high quality packs like this are a blessing! Thanks again :)

  4. Hello guys, love the work. Especially the Brit kit!

    Will the webbing and small pack be receiving a coat of blanco at all? It would be good to have a later war version with green. I believe KG3 is the correct shade for 43 onwards. Also is Brit webbing and pack

    low carry weight intended? Not complaining just wondering.

    Again top job and many thanks. I think you have made a lot of people very happy.

  5. The plan sounds great guys and I'm looking for to seeing more about it on the development blog. I had a thought the other day whilst re-watching "peacekeepers" that when you guys do the DPM gear a nice little addition would be some UN blue covers for the mk6 and a UN beret. It would allow re-creation of a lot of the 90's Brit deployments. Any way just a thought. Much love for the team and I want to reiterate what an amazing job you are doing.

  6. I recently came back to arma3 after a break due to the woes of real life and I have to say 3cb's new releases were a huge part of making me want to play again! Amazing job guys!

    In terms of feedback for the vehicles I think the way to please everyone would be an optional pbo with your vehicles crewed by your units. I know that can be a bit of a pain from my own small foray into the world of modding but I think it's probably the best way.

    As for the units my only request would yet another optional pbo with the gear randomisation removed. I know this can be done via the in mod module but I'm one of those folks who likes to tweak load outs and even using the module certain things still seem to get over ridden :/

    Again a big thank you! You are making a lot of walts very happy ;)

  7. This is because of the way BIS modules collate date for artillery and round types they can have, which means we currently have to define them using a static class list (which is a horrible way to have to do it because you can't generically support mods). It's on our list of things to do to work around it but it'd need a bit of a rewrite of the artillery Combat Support module.

    Thanks for the reply! Much appreciated. In that case I can consider my guys Alive compatible and release a update soon. :)

  8. Hey all. I recently started using Alive and I have to say to all involved you have made an amazing mod.

    The main reason i started using it was because I wanted add support for my RoC add on pack. I re-wrote all my group configs following the Alive wiki pages and now the groups and faction are recognized fine. I had a few quick scenarios last night and it was amazing to see my guys in action! :) However I am having a problem getting the Player support Artillery module to work. It recognizes my units and they appear in the Support menu, but when you click on the unit the following menu asking for number of rounds and placement etc does not appear.

    My pack uses vanilla Arma3 mortars that are re-crewed with my units and it also uses the RHS M109 which again is re-crewed with my guys. Both of these units work fine with the module when added using their original class names, but for some reason when they are added via my faction they don't want to work. As I said before, they spawn, they are on the Support menu but they don't give an option to actually use them.

    In my configs they are defined as availableForSupportTypes[] = {"Artillery"}; and other than the name and crew they inherit all the properties of the originals so I cant for the life of me work out why they don't work. They work fine with the Arma3 vanilla support modules and Its very odd because custom vehicles from my add on pack work perfectly with the Player Support CAS and Transport modules.

    Ive probably missed a line of code somewhere but if anyone could shed any light on this for me it would be great. :p

  9. Republic of China Armed Forces Update

    Now the army has some air support! Ive packed this is as a seperate PBO so for those who don't want to use Firewills F-16 they don't have to use the RoCAF and can just update the army. To use the air force just move the PBO to the addons folder.

  10. de8359b2-acf8-4dba-a74f-5eb1c6ef85ea.png

    I'm pleased to release my first add on for Arma3. The Republic of China Armed forces. At the moment the add on only represents the Republic of China Army but I plan to expand and include other branches of the RoC military soon. The RoC is a very interesting subject but I'd like to make it clear this add on is not a political or racial statement in anyway and is not intended to offend anyone. Please read the READ ME file in the download.

    Features:

    Army

    -RoC Army re-skin in ERDL camouflage with PASGT helmets.

    -RoC reserve's re-skin in ERDL camouflage with M1 helmets.

    -RoC Special Force's Sniper team in MultiCam camouflage with PASGT helmets.

    -Optional TFAR radio pack re-skinned in ERDL.

    Airforce

    -F-16 reskin (dependency on Firewills F-16C).

    -RoC Air Force fighter pilot, helicopter pilot, multi engine pilot and ground crew re-skins.

    General

    -Asian faces and Taiwanese names.

    -Static weapons courtesy of RHS.

    -High quality small arms and vehicles again, courtesy of the RHS team (RHS and CBA mod dependency).

    -Short single player mission (@AGM required).

    -Signed with Keys (First time doing this so I apologize of any errors).

    Requirements:

    @CBA

    @RHS Escalation

    @F16C_Standalone (Firewill)

    Recommended (and required for the mission):

    @AGM

    Future plans:

    -RoC Army Digital Uniform

    -RoC Military Police

    -RoC Marine Corps

    -RoC Airforce

    -AMV-7 re-skin to represent CM-32 "Clouded Leopard" IFV

    -M60A3 (more of a dream than reality)

    Notes:

    At the moment these RoC units are equipped with US weapons due to the similarity's with real RoC gear. If there are any modellers out there who would like to have a shot at making a T-91 rifle then that would be amazing! Most other weapons are essentially the same as RoC equipment all but in name. The reason most units are not equipped with scopes,optics and other shiny items is because most RoC troops are not equipped with them.

    I know the RoC is currently phasing in digital uniforms for the majority of it's forces and believe me I'd like nothing more than to add them in game but I cant find any decent high quality images to use as a base. And unfortunately my skills are not good enough to make any from scratch yet. So if any one can link me up with high quality samples of the RoC Army digital camo and RoC Marine digital camo that would be amazing.

    When the new Marksman DLC is released I'm thinking of equipping the reserve forces with the M14 as its virtually identical to the RoC Type-57.

    From my research their seems to be a Taiwanese squad out there who play Arma3 and are working on some RoC assets but their site is in Chinese, if by any chance any of the members see I'd love to talk with you guys.

    All feedback is welcome! Also I'd love to see any mission or campaigns involving the RoC. :)

    Credits and thanks:

    -The RHS team.

    -Massi and SPCraig for their PASGT helmets.

    -SPCraig for his M1 helmet.

    -Slatts and Soul for their great texture templates.

    -Cpl.Lib for testing and helpful feedback.

    -TFAR team for their great project.

    -Firewill for the great F-16.
