    Multiplayer Not working

The button refers to which method of server querying is done. If you want to switch to the steam version, you click the button that says steam. Then the buton changes to gamespy because that is what it will switch to when you click the button again.

Again, a big thank you from both me and N_Icomach!

    Multiplayer Not working

I dont really see an issue. All the red x's mean are that they are incorrect versions, IE probably running dev build. Unfortunately no, the steam/gamespy thing only fixes whether or not you can see non-dedicated servers. There are way to many factors to be able to figure out the exact issue you are experiencing. It seems obvious that it is something on his end however. Whether or not that is able to be controlled by him is another matter. It could be a hidden mod that you are not finding or it could be simply that his ISP changed something and it is now conflicting with everyone else's ISP's. I wish you luck in figuring it out!

    Multiplayer Not working

Here is how to fix it. When you are in your server browser, there will be a button in the top right hand corner that says steam. Click this. It will now say Gamespy and you should be able to find your friends server!
  5. You got it the other way round buddy. The gamespy ones are broken, the steam one works fine. The button means which one it will switch to if you press it. Im willing to bet they will remove this option to switch and keep it only on steam service for obvious reasons :P

    N'Ziwasogo A3 terrain (Released)

If you haven't already fixed the second annoying bird squak in \pja305_soundsnew\sounds\ambient\basics\day3.wss, I have already edited a version for my group that only takes out that very small audio section with that bird. Let me know if you need it!

    M1A1 MBT A2 Port

I would rather have the bug than all the ammo in one box personally.
  8. Keep at it, looks cool! I have some bugs/issues to report. -is not compatible in multiplayer. Crashes the server immediately -landing deck has holes in it (I landed a pawnee on it, got out and fell through the ship) Looking forward to your next update!

    EMP Pack -WIP-

Another cool thing that we can do is play a sound for when the turrets and vehicles get knocked out. Im currently thinking some sort of electrical fizzing sound or the sound of a breaker box sparking.

    Improved Fatigue System

Yep, I just confirmed as well. I got about a 15 second difference. This will be fixed in the next version, I already have a sneaking suspicion as to what is causing it. Thank you for letting me know and testing it yourself! Main post's known issues has been updated.

Cool, a very big thank you!
  14. The price for the computer he is buying is not a scam. It is the average price for a pre-built computer with those components. Yes he can skimp on some of those parts and build a cheaper system if he wanted to, but it is all opinions. Yes, you don't need 32 gb of RAM, you do only ever need around 8gb to 12 gb to never have an issue. Also yes, the power supply is a bit overpowered. However, his system does include a monitor, keyboard, and mouse that are pretty good from what I glanced at. Also, for arma, for the love of god get the best possible processor you can get. So if you can afford a 4820K, get it. Arma runs pretty much only on the processor so you will actually be fine with a 760gtx instead of a 780gtx. Only downside is other games will not run as well.
  15. Short answer, no. There is a lot of people here that can guess how many frames you will get but you will never know for sure until you get your new system. The system you are getting will be able to get 60fps and over no problem. It depends on your video settings however. If you turn everything on to maximum, you will probably get some frame drop. Having said this, it also depends on a lot of other things. If you are playing single player, you will get better frames than if you were playing on a server. In single player, it very much depends on how many AI or objects you have spawned in. In multiplayer, it is not only dependent on the same thing as singleplayer, but the server quality as well. So basically, there is no real answer to your question. All someone can say is you will not be disappointed by your computer, except for the price tag. Most people interested in getting a good system will build their own for some important reasons. It is almost always cheaper to build your own and you can make sure every single component is what you want and not skimped on. Basically, I can build the same system you are purchasing for $1900 for around $1600-$1700.

    Flyin's Backblast [WIP]

Ah, that is another good idea. I will add that to the list of possible handling's for inside a building

I kind of like the clean look. Sure you can get in trouble with a clean looking one where it ends up looking cartoony, but as long as you put some love into the detail, it should be fine. Thats just my opinion

    Improved Fatigue System

I have not tested it with TMR, but it should. What it does is overwrite all changes while the player is fatigued. When the player is not fatigued, it changes it once and then leaves it alone. I reviewed VTS's code to make sure but as I said, I have not looked into TMR. Let me know if it does!

    Improved Fatigue System

Updated to Version 0.6! ChangeLog: V0.6 - Added - recoil changes Added - radial blur Added - modular support for blur, recoil, and heartbeat Removed - Water System Alpha ReadMe for more in depth changelog I have not been able to work on the user key yet and weapon sway kind of changed to recoil until I can make it work better Main post and download links have been updated

Cool, thanks for the input! And thank you as well for being willing to help do mass play testing! And yes, don't worry, the radial blur will be tasteful and unobtrusive ;)

    Improved Fatigue System

Thats a great idea. I had been thinking of putting similar texts for the water system. I think the messages would get a bit distracting for the fatigue system but having a user key to press and then display a message would be ideal. Though the heartbeat and blinking cue's were supposed to be the things telling you how tired you are. I will mull it all over and run it by my unit to see what they think. So my current list to add to the fatigue system is: -Add long term radial blur while fatigued -Add user key to display tiredness level Also, I would love feedback on a simple question from everyone. Weapon sway, yes or no?

    Improved Fatigue System

Cool, and all you need to do to help me is what your doing. Telling me things like, 'It takes too long for the water to go down' or 'Scroll wheel to drink is getting to be a problem'. So your suggestion for adding a radial blur and sending me the video of an Arma 2 water mod are exactly what I need. So thanks!
  23. flyinpenguin

    Improved Fatigue System

Thanks! I actually have a few people I know of who can help me create some custom in game items. Also, you want a radial blur when you blink? Do you mean just for the short time you are blinking or a constant thing that gets worse as you get closer to falling over? Some things that I have been thinking about 1- A base object that has 'infinite' water to fill up with but is static (ie the existing water barrel) 2- The water that you can drink from has a limited number of drinks (like a camelback) 3- The 'water bottle' item can be carried and fills up a certain amount your available water (aka camelback) Also, I have been trying to think of other things to penalize the dehydrated player. Currently all I am doing is messing with the fatigue values. I have thought about making it or the fatigue system itself affect weapon sway but am unsure at the moment. Another thing that I have been trying to figure out is what is the best method to drink, meaning should it be a scroll wheel option like it is now, should it be one of the custom keys, or should it be an automatic thing that keeps you filled up as long as you have water in your inventory? I know that pilots and others have a lot of scroll wheel options already to deal with which is why it may not be the best option. Let me know what you all think!

    M1A1 MBT A2 Port

Im getting the same as Unit757, tracks are not quite looking sexy yet as they move and hitting the hull damages the gun. Im ok with the M2 firing that slow however. Realistically it does fire a bit faster. When I get the chance I'll look into your work and try to help you out.
