Beginner Question - how to build vehicle

Hello, I am currently playing mission 9 "badlands" and I have build a factory and base, but I can`t build vehicles. How do I do that? I can go into the factory, but I can get a menue where I can build vehicles. All i can do is build moe factories. I also tried the tutorial - but it behaves the same way. Any idea what I am missing? Thanks
