nearObjects worked. Thank you again, sir. I also had _unitType selecting and counting from _houseList instead of _unitList.

Thank you for the reply, Grimes. I was sure my "Noob" status was scaring people. Nice to see another Texan here. I used nearEntities because I read somewhere that its faster then the other near commands. I thought i was filling _houseList with houses within 300 meters and selecting one with _house. I'll try with nearObjects. Thanks again bud.
