  1. 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards – An ArmA III Realism unit Welcome to the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards ArmA III Realism Unit Recruitment Page! This unique ArmA III unit strives to represent the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards (British Infantry Regiment) as good as possible. Regarding the 'Unique' part, we make use of OPFOR being played by our members. In our eyes, online players can contribute to a much more realistic environment then AI does. No, we do not play those regular TvT events, where we just try to kill the opposing forces. We strive to play in a very Military like way with actual real life tactics etc. For OPFOR, guerilla warfare is one of the main styles. Roleplay plays a Key Role in our operations and we strive to make our operations as dynamic as possible. No members will be assigned to the OPFOR side. We make use of a rotation program, where the player is assigned to one of the sections of 1st Battalion, but is sometimes needed to play on the Opposing Forces. We normally play 1 Operation/Excersise during the working days and 1 during the weekend. We use 7PM GMT 0 (London) as our standard operation/excersise starting time. Requirements: . Must be atleast 16 years of age (no exceptions) . Must remain active . Must be a Teamplayer . Must respect our Rules and Guidelines . Must have a working microphone . Must have a working copy of ArmA III What can I expect when joining the unit? The player is to make an application on our website. Within 24 hours he or she will receive a response regarding the following steps. These include a small interview and information regarding ITC (Infantry Training Centre). Our ITC covers alot of training and military scenarios with a final excersise during the last stages of ITC. Infantry Training Centre will last about 5 days (Each lasting around 30-45 min). During these days, the player will be assigned to a Recruit Platoon/Class. After succesfully completing the ITC, the player will be assigned to one of the Sections of our unit (enables operations and excersises). Every player starts of as a Rifleman and will work his way up. Roles as Medic, Signaller could be available after you have had some experience as a basic rifleman.   2. Hey guys, Im thinking of opening up 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards wich is a British Light Infantry Battalion. I wish to bring realism to the highest level, however i can't do this on my own. I need a team to help set this unit up. I few things are clear already and will not be changed, such as the name of the unit (1st Battalion, Grenadier Guards) and that it will be 16+. I already have a proper modlist, but if anyone comes up with good suggestions, the modlist can always be changed. I am also writing a proper Recruit Program (ITC - Infantry Training Centre), wich will make the recruit completely combat effective after the Program.   5. Hello, I am Corporal K. Chief from the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit. 13th MEU is new unique ArmA III MilSim unit wich strives to represent the 13th MEU as realistic as possible. We use real life modern day USMC tactics and structure. Our recruits undergo a proper recruit phase and SOI (School of Infantry). Only players that meet our standards will succeed. Requirements: -Must speak the English language properly. -Must be 16 years or older. (If 15 and the application is deemed to be approved, the recruit will be put under a two week probation.) -Must have a working microphone. -Must have a working copy of ArmA III. -Must be mature. -Must be an active and commited player. -Must meet the rest of our standards. How to join? Once you meet every single requirement, its time to visit the website. Here you will have to registrate and then make an application in the forums (detailed explanation will be given after registration by a private message). The player is to check his application daily to check for any updates. If approved, the player will do an interview in our teamspeak 3. Positions: Every single player will start of as a 0311 Rifleman. While having served as a 0311 for a certain amount of time, the player can then specialize himself in other kinds of MOS’es. Why are we unique? 13th MEU is introducing a new way of playing ArmA III. In our eyes, the AI is not good enough to meet our standards (Includings AI mods). Therefor will put OPFOR as playable in our operations. Each individual will play on the OPFOR side once in a while. This creates a whole new ‘far greater’ experience. Aren't we just a standard PvP unit then? No, our unit will bring a good amount of roleplay in the PvP. As stated above, we strive to be as realistic as possible, therefor OPFOR and BLUFOR will have their own objectives. Both sides do not know about eachothers objectives. This is not a unit where you have an OPFOR side meeting a BLUFOR side in the middle having a big firefight. The objectives include patrolling, placing IED's (OPFOR wise) etc. Our point is to make it as dynamic as possible, anything could happen. You might run into your enemy, you might not as in real life. When do we play? As we are an international unit our official operations and trainings are set on 7PM GMT (London Time). Our common playing days are saturday and sunday. Recruit trainings will be held during the week as well. Mods: Our staff will help the player with gaining the right mods.   6. Info FIC: Forces in Combat is a special ArmA II community. It will host a MilSim like COOP once a month. The player will get an e-mail with the instructions of joining this COOP. The COOPs will be played on saturday's 7PM GMT (London Time). Every body who is ACE/ACRE related will have an oppurtunity to play with commmunity once a month. With a high concentration of taliban insurgents in the area, the AO is rather unsafe. After a week of settling, the Para's are conducted their first patrol. Last week, 1st Platoon 3rd Parachute Regiment assaulted a taliban compound. Due to this assault, the roads are now safer to patrol. Today, 1st Platoon continues its patrol from PB London to FOB Alamo. Orders: A COY, 3PARA is tasked with Patrolling roads N of PB London. A. Enemy Forces: Intel suggests that in the past week, around 10-15 armed Taliban fighters were seen around PB London.. The taliban fighters are equipped with old Soviet weapons such as AK47's, RPK's, RPG's etc. Intel also suggests insurgent vehicles will be very unlikely within the AO. B. Friendly Forces: Ground Combat Element: 1x Platoon, (3PARA) Air Combat Element: 1x AH-64D (RAF) 1x Lynx (RAF) C. Wheater / Time: Clear, Visual: 5km + / 0900 Local D.
