  1. Out of curiosity, do you have plans on reworking the weapons used by (for example) the Middle East rebels once you've finished adding all listed future features? For PVP purposes, it'd be beneficial for the weapons to work better for players, rather than be designed just for AI use.

As it says in the first post, just download and use a Soviet weapon pack :)

  2. Its a little bit more difficult to create immersion in MP sessions due to decreased performance and some useful commands not working in MP properly (animations etc). Like Barbolani said having the AI use smoke is good and also fill the mission area with wrecks, civilian cars, dead bodies, broken buildings etc.

Play your mission through yourself and pretend you don't know what's going to happen. If you're not happy with how it "feels" and how it plays out, think about ways to change it until you've got something you're happy with.

  3. Looking for some upgrade advice.

    Currently running:

    i5 760 @ 3.6Ghz

    560ti

    4GB DDR3 1333

Would upgrading to something like the following be worth the money in terms of performance. Currently I can run A3 pretty well on medium settings, get around 60fps on SP with most things on Medium and around 2K view distance.

    i5 3570K

    GTX 760

    8GB DDR3 1600Mhz

Would cost around £450 for the upgrade. How much performance increase would I get? Please help. :)

  4. True ArmA for me is playing as close to real life as possible, ie a simulation game. Arma 2 did it quite well when using ACE and ACRE, infact I never played A2 without those mods.

A3 is somewhere in between realism and Battlefield series. If and when ACE gets released it will change A3 completely for the better imo.

  5. Major-Shepard, thanks for your excellent work with continuous development of this.

Noticed some annoying issues when updating yesterday early evening, that I don't think is related to the bug post earlier.

Basically when i upgraded (on being prompted about the update from first load-up) it rolled back my Addons selected in the right hand pane. What i mean by this is it put back some addons I had previously deleted and removed from the system. They were marked in red and the launcher promted me that I was trying to launch with a missing mod.

It also turned on some mods I had disabled for testing purposes (i.e. Mcc) that were then "re-ticked" on the upgrade.

I always close down ArmaSync when i make a change and re-load it - so not sure why this happens. Could you perhaps have it automatically save the profiles before an update and re-load from those saved files ?

Anyway, not a game killer but can be annoying.

    Thanks

    SJ

Also got the same issue. Profiles, groups and mods not saving anymore :(
