It looks like there is a character limit for the squad.xml's now. I have been tearing apart my squad.xml for 2 hours now, adding and removing things I had written there earlier. In fact my remark and squad name were too long for the new ArmA3 version. Squad.xml is working for me again. Just had to shorten the entries a bit. Thanks for your help!

Alright. So there have been changes in the squad.xml! I was already getting mad at the Dropbox. :D Is there any information about what they mean by "to avoid abuse"? Has that something to do with character restiction or length of (the text of) the .xml file?

Thx JShock, unfortunately this is still not fixing my squad.xml issue. Any other suggestions? In case I dont get any further response I will try the feedback tracker cuz it obviously broke down by Update 1.44. Greetings, Charlie

Hey, I have been using my Squad.xml since the release of the ArmA3 Alpha until now. I was hosting it over my public dropbox folder. Since Update 1.44 my squad.xml does not load either when I connect on a random multiplayer server. I guess it has something to do with the BattlEye-stuff implementation. I haven't changed anything on the squad.xml for almost 1 year so I definitely not broke it myself. The squad.xml will not be displayed in the playerlist either. And every time I try to connect on one of my favorite servers or start up a mod via PlayWithSIX I'm being ordered to restart the game to be able to join. And even then the squad.xml does not show up. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this? I haven't found anything in the Feedback Tracker or in the forums yet. Regards, CharlieTwoFive

There is another issue: We are not able to link UAVs to our UAV Terminal. They can only be (un)locked even there are no seats. -

I would really like to see OpFor get it's own airfield. Landing at the current base with a jet is no problem but taking off is almost not possible. Moreover I must say that the performance starts to become bad after a few minutes. idk what the reason is. Anyway: I'm experiencing random vehicle explosions when you enter them e.g. Jets or Helicopters. You board them, they explode. No mines around, game just started. Edit: After the airfield jets were moved I suggest to replace the AA jet with a CAS jet and add AA Buzzards to Air Shop (85k). -

Thanks a lot! Do you mean a trigger which locks the vehicle when they enter the area and unlocks it when they leave it? Is that even possible? -

Hey, thanks for the fast response and your help. :-) Entering the circle while on ground: Not possible anymore ✓ Entering the circle while flying 5m or lower: Not possible anymore ✓ Landing and getting out of air vehicle after enterning the zone while flying higher than 5 metres: Still possible ✕ Do you know a way to suppress Pilots from landing after they entered the zone with an air vehicle? Example: I enter the circle with an altitude of 6m so I dont die. Now I land and get out of my air vehicle while being inside the circle. I'm searching a way to kill pilots instantly who leave their air vehicle after they landed inside the circle. Any ideas? Regards, CharlieTwoFive -

Hey @ all, after 2 1/2years of ArmA2 and a few months of playing ArmA3 I decided to start creating some missions. I've checked/watched several video tutorials, Wiki entries and Mr Murray's scripting bible but I didnt find an answer. I want to establish a zone which is prohibited for groundunits. Only air units should be allowed to enter the 3km wide circle. Ground vehicles have to get destroyed and infantry to be killed immediately when they enter the circle. Using the "Zone Restriction"-Module (Misc) doesn't work like I want it to. Maybe I'm using it wrong. A trigger with "{_x Setdammage 1} Foreach thislist;" does not work either because I do not want to kill everyone just everything that doesn't fly. Moreover Pilots have to die when they are already inside the circle and get out of their air unit. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? -

I just played the brandnew DEV Build Altis CTI Version for 2hours and to summarize it short in two words: Just... AWESOME!!! I haven't played a mission yet which was better optimized than this one! Playing on Ultra and having a fluent, lagfree, no-hanging game was a total surprise for me. The performance of Invade & Annex, several SC and RP missions are unable to hold a candle to this masterpiece! :286: Still: It's the first Altis CTI version of this mission and requires a few improvements. Currently there is only a part of the terrain used for this mission. The mission does not spread into every corner of the map but I'm pretty sure that the mission will be extended after the first people found the server, am I right? ;) My suggestions for now: - Add ACP-C2 Pistol ammo (9Rnd_45ACP_Mag) in shop which is missing - Reduce income or increase prices | -> Necessary because more objectives than on Stratis -> Income/each minute gets pretty high - Extend the mission into every corner of the map - Add UAV Terminal (for like $2k) - Add UAV Backpack -> Quadrotor UAV (for $5k) - Add the larger, armed UAVs ($30k) Anything else is perfect as it should be. Waiting forward for the "hooking of vehicles below helicopters" Thanks to everyone who contributed to this mission. Finally some nice PvP focused mission on DEV Build. Was already tired of the A&I Co-op missions everywhere. Best regards, CharlieTwoFive -
My ArmA3 crashes less often now, too. But still getting these crashes sometimes. Highly recommendable!

Hello again, I will check if some of the ideas listed in these threads help fixing this problem. Meanwhile my ArmA3 (Alpha & Beta) crashed 190 times in total since 05.03.13. I was at the GamesCom yesterday and wanted to talk about this issue but they didn't know what I was talking about as if this issue is unknown. Anyway I think many users of this forum and other players who experience this crash every day would appreciate a short statement about the progress which was made (the past 5 1/2 months) since this issue is known. Many other issues were solved yet but this one is still present and extremly annoying. I really hope they fix it until 12th September.

Still does not work for me. My game still freezes in. PhysX-Settings: CPU does not help. CUDA - GPUs turned off does not help either. This PhysX-stuff brings me to the verge of despair...

Unfortunetely nothing helped. I've tried exactly what you said but was kicked a couple of times in a row within 15 minutes. Moreover not playing Annex & Invade - or TeeTimes Warfare (CTI) is no option for me. I'm playing this game for a few hours each day - at least I try to ;) - and switch between CTI and COOP-servers. Almost all of these crash reports seen in this screenshot(s) are PhysX3_x86.dll-Crashes happened to me in the last few days... Problem-Reports.jpg (file-upload.net) Problem-Reports-2.jpg (file-upload.net) Still hoping this error will be fixed soon otherwise I wont get to play this game that often. Regards, CharlieTwoFive
