    IIRC, didn't Drake say he decided against using CQC sights for the weapons since most have integrated optics and they do fine in CQC without any external sights? I'd prefer them to stay as close to their original designs as possible, since I find they look perfect without any holo-sight crap and whatnot. Suppose it's Drake choice in the long run, though.

Removed "-Army and Marine Pilots (replaced by Airmen and Naval Aviators)" To be honest, this worried me the initial time I read it, but since the Marine pilot BDU is still in, I have no reason to worry anymore. Other then that, the update is looking good, no true issues as of yet, possibly the Genet's physics, but it does say it's a WIP. Oh and you making the SRS99 somehow more overkill than before, heh.

    From what my friends are telling me, it's an unmanned turret AFAIK, so it's small for that reason I personally hate the turret; I like the T-90AM way more in terms of looks, but w/e

    Thought I'd pop in and say that this mod is well done and adds quite some content, took a while to check through it all in the VA! Love a lot of it, can't wait to use it with friends and such. Great job, man. I was wondering if you've seen the "Death From Above" patch from Andrew Bawidamann? It's a patch I use personally this guy made and would love to know if I could ever see it in Arma?   9. If you truly want to discuss it, it'd be wise as to take it into PM. Last thing I want is yet another civil war with the mod as with what happened with TEI. Am I the one to discuss it with you? No, but I'm sure Op3r8r or Ioan would be happy to debate with you. I'm just saying that if there's a divide, it will open at one point or another.
  10. 1. I'd say he isn't being as much as rude as he is concerned. 5. Isn't it somewhat rude to insult his attempt to help the mod by calling it nothing more than "nerd rage"? Could he have toned it down and worded it better? Yes. Could you? Yes. 7. I do believe it is needed, as it's going to be an issue eventually with the mod and I can sense the community being divided by it. The subject will have to come up, IMO, unless the devs settle it by saying how deep they'll be going into 343I "lore"...and how it'll mix with Bungie lore. Just something to avoid the "who has better lore" war. Again, I don't see him acting crazy, just someone who wants to help because he's worried. I'm worried about some things, and I have friends who play this mod who are worried. Just my two cents, I suppose.

    Sweet /o/ And about the needler shotgun, I'd say it's too much work with little payback, since shotguns are already redundant in Arma, thanks to the range of engagements and faster firing weapons that can out-preform them in CQC. The idea to have needler projectiles be lock-on required sounds clever, though. IMO if he can modify the damage of each projectile, he can somewhat address the issue of being "OP". Besides, I don't know what Drake is going for damage-wise; is he going for the console area style gun damage so they're balanced, or is he going to make it like it seems in live-action trailers and whatnot where having a huge needle hit you with no shield hurts?

  17. Seems a tad pointless in my opinion, since you can just burst fire on auto. The damage model is my biggest issue with it atm. But that's up to the dev team on what they see appropriate. IIRC the old one was like 6.5mm and this one is 20-30mm? Yeah, the upgrade feels nice :P

    IMO I'd really prefer something that makes sense with the weapon rather than something like TEI's bolted on iron sights for the AR (which I don't even use anymore, since they added the no IS ammo counter <3), or nothing at all.

  23. tbh, if they loved halo enough to keep going with the mod, they probably would've come to a decision by now which would've done less damage, but from my POV, they're willing to throw it away. I am sad about it, but I have nothing but resentment for the dev team now (ex and current) on how this went, as I'm sure many other people share the same feelings. I just want to ask one question which keeps eating away at me; Why did you join the development to begin with, ex-devs? What motive was there, and why is it no longer to be found? I am genuinely curious at this point, and a reason, no matter how vague, would help put my head to rest. No need to answer if you don't see a reason to, of course. I still feel the urge to ask, though.
  24. Glad to see you finally have a hand in your own mod again! Hopefully this scenario can be avoided in the future, and the mod can continue with less bumps :D
