  1. I entirely agree with Chris.
  2. Q.: Is it possible, to exchange the new textures with the default ones (came with the island), without replacing tile by tile in wrp-tool? My case: I've modified CAT-Afghanistan in some versions, also replaced the default textures (512x512) which came with download, with an external texturepack (256x256). Now I like to have back those default textures without editing the whole wrp-file tile by tile. Surely, there is no chance to "copy and paste" all the island textures after marking all tiles in wrp-tool....Is there a kind of cfg.file, who tells, which textures are placed at which position? I didn't found any so far... (Only replacing the textures in the gr and gr2 folders inside CAT_intro.pbo don't work, because of other texture-names). Tks in advance for any Info and best rgds ripley (marcomio)

  5. UPDATED Hello together, I found an external HD with some old OFP stuff I did many years ago (yes, my former user-name was marcomio – only for info). If there is still interest, I will search for some backups of my former work – but can’t guarantee to find all of this old projects. Here I uploaded again the last version of CAT-Afghanistan in 2048 Resolution (be aware, it needs alot of 3rd party addons). I think, that some of the buildings behaved anormal, e. g. when a tank touched it, it falls to the side…). Maybe I check those buildings an replace them by other ones, because it looks weird and the pathfinding-ability of OFP Ai is well known…). Necessary working textures are included in this download (MARCOMIO.7z). Put those texture file into the operation flashpoint/addons – folder. http://www.mediafire.com/file/1nxuarb5365wl23/afghanistan_2048.rar __________________________________________________________________________________ The Link for Kolgujev unbombed (I don’t know which version it is, but also with many addons). That’s the latest version I found so far on my HD…Don’t forget to backup your default world-file „Cain.wrp“ (and if already existing, the „Cain.rrp“). http://www.mediafire.com/file/56sknfw1f8ps7td/KolgujevUnbombed.rar It needs the bunch of addons listet further below. __________________________________________________________________________________ Also a retextured version of Kolgujev unbombed with 2048x2048 textures (it is in beta status): http://www.mediafire.com/file/ev65sdd9hz7zdhf/kolgujev new2048.zip Can’t provide you with some screenshots, because my laggy Intel-Graphic isn’t capable to handle those high res textures. I only can see them in detail while working with them (e. g. in texview or with wrp-tool).... __________________________________________________________________________________ As mentioned before, for most of the islands I used following addons: Those I didn't find yet: WW3 Russian Object pack Farmland Island 2.0 Sniping Jacks Jack256-texture replacement 3WX Object Pack 1.1 (or 1.0 ?) from: http://www.mediafire.com/file/t9unwb2vulsish5/F3WX_O1.rar AGS buildings from: https://cloud.mail.ru/public/LqSK/pqnB9aCY6/unofaddons2/ (AGS Harbor Pack 2.0, AGS Industrial Pack 3.0, MERCS Buildings, Islands and Objects pack) All the Mapfact addons from: http://mapfact.armed-assault.de/Archiv/include.php?path=content/content.php&contentid=33 (AEF_Reallights, Mapfact Barracks, MAPFACT MilObj-Pack 1.0, Mapfact JOF_Objects 1.2, MAPFACT Oiladdon 1.02, MAPFACT MAP_Shed 1.0) Blinkdogs (KKK) buildlings package and retextured buildings from https://gamefront.online/files/listing/pub2/operation-flashpoint/Addons/Other/ Some of these addons you’ll find on several sites, some of them are very hard to find, maybe one of the community members can upload this „hard to find“-files for the public. For some good alternate dl-locations see this thread (thanks again to RozekPoland for his quick info): Rgds ripley (marcomio) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE Some other stuff I found on my old HD: ATTENTION: There are still some little bugs. E. g. the concrete Texture (the beton plates at the Airports) behave like offroad surface….Seems to come with Sniping Jacks Jack256 textures. Somebody can help out with getting rid of those bugs? Help would be highly appreciated. Retextured/reworked Malden and Everon Islands use the same bunch of addons already mentioned above. Intention was, to give some cities and locations a bit more inhabited look (fences, phone-boxes, some new buildings) and replaced some buildings with enterable counterparts. Always tried to use the same size and put them on the same place for do not crashing any missions. (Hopefully). 1) Retextured and a bit reworked Malden v. 1.0 with 256x256 Groundtextures by SnipingJack http://www.mediafire.com/file/p36u59k2hyr6la2/retextured Malden1.0 256.zip 2) Retextured and also a bit reworked Everon v.1.0 using the same Texturepack http://www.mediafire.com/file/f6zz3lvh4bi3j8p/retextured Everon 1.0 256.zip INFO: Something, I couldn’t find is the altered Nogova Island. But that is not too bad, because Mapfact already did a beautyful rework of Nogova. (Maybe, those islands will also get 2048x2048 Groundtextures, as far as my creepy Laptop can handle that ammount of data. My real good PC is already stashed for the move, so I have to work with that one....) RGDS
  6. Hello to the brave OFP-community, Installed old OFP GOTY after 6 years again, had many Patches and Mods on my external Harddrive, but some Mods etc. are missing. Looking on ofp.gamepark.cz, which was the No. 1 source for all OFP-stuff, I cannot download anything - wether from FTP 1 nor from FTP 2 (which demands a password???) Using different browsers and options, but nothing worked. I surely missed some info during the last years..... Many other download-sites are already erased from the web and some have only a very little bit of OFP content left. Found a little bit on nexusmods.com, but the big ammount of downloads faded away, it seems. In my case, I'm especially looking for the FFUR 1985 Desert Pack (you find it on ofp.gamepark.cz, but you can't download it). Has anyone an Idea, where I can get this one? Thanks for info in advance and best regards ripley (marcomio)

    Campania de Malvinas MOD

Hi there, last week I reinstalled the first version of Armed Assault (yes, that's very nostalgic...), grabbed some mods from my external drive and found your very nice Malvinas Mod too. Now I looked for some news about the ArmA (1) version of MLV mod and found something on moddb.com. There are two Downloadlinks published, the first is the same as You managed in this thread, called "DOWNLOAD BETA 1": https://mega.co.nz/#!KNskGbqZ!OlkrbVdf04LIUongijBsxCX3Mp4hda3U10ymmM1bWKQ but on moddb, com, there ist also a second one, called "DOWNLOAD BETA 2": chrome://mega/content/secure.html#!j05lwSDY!W5-5g172HO1Wvsz2K745znc4iDfVUfa_cxAjlgbpBoo Was this a second BETA version of your MLV Mod or only a second DL-Location of one existing version? Thanks alot for your info in advance and best regards ripley
  8. Same with me: Using the latest Nvidia Game-Ready driver for my GeForce 750Ti, All running on a Samsung 840 EVO SSD with an AMD Phenom II X4 965 CPU with 3,6 GHz and 16 GB of RAM. Should be enough power to get more than 20 Fps with lowered settings. E. g. first mission of Operation Arrowhead (where you land on the airfield) give me only 20 to 30 Fps. I wouldn't wonder if this happens on Chernarus with its dense foilage and equal number of moving objects and AI on the map. And I played alot with different video settings without the desired effect. Then I started a campaign on an island of the CWR2-Mod and got 40 to 70 Fps despite the same ammount of AI and Objects on the map. I have no clue, what might cause that dropdown of performance. (All background programs and Antivirus program deactivated). The last of patch installed is the 1.62, and that was a long time ago since it was released. So no big change has been done to the game itself. Would be interesting, if others have the same gut feeling about this. Anyway, talking about performance, here is a link with some useful info for the targetline settings (the most of you already will know): https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma2:_Startup_Parameters

    ArmA Rearmed 2

  10. SP-Campaign Afghan War Diary by Wiki / adapted to last OFrP-Mod (Version 3.2.4) by ripley Short description: This campaign will make you live a few moments in Afghanistan, between 2010 and 2011... Author: Wiki Version: 2.1 Island(s): Takistan Playable options: N/A Requirements: ADuke's Helo pack - ArmA2, Operation Frenchpoint (OFrP), Afghan National Army and Police (by someguywho), MAFCExt (by Studio MAF) Still beta, some little problems still have to be erased. Last version OFrP-Mod has a lot of desert camo vehicles and units, but viewing pictures of French Forces in e. g. Afghanistan, 90 percent or the units and vehicles have standard woodland camo. Some missions still needs to be corrected, but campaign should be playable using "endgame" command in one or two missions. Beneficials of dingor: The AI can't sneak up so easy to your position like in the thick jungle of lingor (the old problem of Ai-ability to see through grass and plants, the player can't...) and due to less foilage, dingor ist framerate-friendly. Some little changes had to be made to a small number of missions, e. g. you can choose your weapon via briefing or sometimes at/inside the vehicle. I also implemented a little mission called "Mopping-up Fernando village" (for the missing No. 22 in the campaign), for which I took a mission from Wiki's Afghan War diary - campaign an modified it a bit, to adapt it to the story line. Again I have to thank Wiki for his generous permission to modify his campaign and all involved addon-makers for their great work. Here are the download-links: Campaign OP Licorne dingor: http://www.mediafire.com/download/q1ar8gcz2ikt1g9/OP+LICORNE+DINGOR.zip File "Operation Licorne dingor.pbo" goes into the campaign folder, targetline with mod-folders should loke like this: ...mod=@CBA_CO;@dingor;@lingor;@MAFCExt;@OFrP Installation notes on armaholic: use modfolders to seperate the custom content from the official game content to prevent problems. 11. Have the same problem with a lighthouse on lingor island, using the trigger as described above, setting damage to 0.95. Only effect I see: The rotating light is dark, but the lightcone itself still rotates and enlighten the environment. Also the little anti-collision light is still blinking. Didn't found a solution so far, maybe someone will load up a screenshot with the appropriate trigger etc., if he got it to work? rgds
