  1. Hey guys! I was working on a mission for my unit and made a few custom whiteboard textures to go along with the briefing and figured I would share it with the community. This PSD has a blank whiteboard background I created with the shape tool and added some inner shadow, it also has BIS Altis map Whiteboard in there for use with missions. I also included a polaroid frame that is completely resizable, a posted note, and some tape. To get the text effect that I used on the photos below just use a handwritten font and put the layer mode to color burn(doesn't matter for black font, but looks good with the red). To use it in your map: -Find your mission folder and create a new folder called Pics(or whatever you want, I use "Tex" for Textures, if you dont already have one) and place your saved .PAA in there. (I save my file in photoshop as a PNG and open it in TEXVIEW and select DXT1 and save as .PAA) -Go into your mission and lay down a blank whiteboard -In the whiteboards INIT type This setObjectTexture [0, "*FOLDERNAME*\*FILENAME*.PAA"]; (Ex: this setObjectTexture [0, "Tex\My_Awesome_Whiteboard.paa"]; ) -Save and preview the Mission. Description A Re-texture of the NATO uniforms, Vests, Headgear, and Hunters With a digital camouflage engineered from scratch in Photoshop using Altis/Stratis terrain color palettes. This digital camo was inspired by breakthrough technology in the camouflage industry which uses complex algorithms of digital shapes and depth to trick the human brain into seeing something other than what is actually there. Usage To use the FUTARM units in the mission editor, set the side to BluFor and Faction to FUTARM Units. There are two classes to choose from: "Men(Infantry)" and "Vehicles". Alternatively you can access all of the items through the FUTARM ammobox included with this mod or a VAS. What it Includes Men(Infantry): Squad Leader Team Leader Rifleman (with different uniform variants) Rifleman Light Rifleman(AT) Grenadier Autorifleman Combat Medic Combat Engineer Marksman UAV Operator Backpacks Standard Kitbag Anti-Tank Kitbag Medic Kitbag Engineer Kitbag Vehicles Hunter (unarmed) Hunter HMG Hunter GMG Ammo Box Notes/Credits This is my first release version and my first addon period. In the future I plan to implement more re-textures for air and other vehicles and maybe a new camo for lighter/urban areas. The class names for all the items are in the Readme.txt.     I have no idea why they would show up as Opfor. The uniforms don't have a side value, that is selected under CfgFactionClasses and is set to side = "BLU_F";. Opfor would be OPF_F . I will check into it and see if I can figure out why it would do that.

    They have their own faction under BLUFOR. It does not replace the default textures of the units.

    I use a VAS in test missions for checking the quality of my mods and retextures. Easier than typing this adduniform "My_Awesome_Uniform_1"; every time. Or this setobjecttexture [0, "Uniformtest.paa"];

    Lol, yeah you can tell that the Woodland was 1.0 release, and the desert was 1.5 release. Everything will be uniform in 2.0.

    Shiny Arm Patch Removal

    I am currently working on my FUTARM2.0 release and I was wondering if there's any way to remove the Shiny rectangle texture that goes where the Nato flags go. I am completely new to this aspect of modding/retexturing and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Even if there is a p3d or model I may use out there that has it removed already (would be credited in my addon). Thanks in advance!

    Yes these are from way back almost right after Alpha. Those are some of the tweaks I am working on for the 2.0 release. I have been reworking the camo pattern and uniform textures for a more HD look. The current uniforms seem too "Painted" to me and lack the texture of fabric almost. I am alpha testing a new uniform texture as I'm writing this and I think the results are great. All values of the items will be updated to the current build to match the vanilla values of the NATO uniforms. Thank you for your insight though! Every bit helps when you're working on something alone. Sometimes you just forget about it, and sometimes it just gets overlooked. :cool: Here's a preview.   25. Not sure where to post this since its about Texturing.. Might end up having to do with configs, I'm not sure Lol. I want to remove the Weird shine on the knee pads and elbow pads of my retextured units.. also is there a way to remove the flag shine too? Ive seen other unit packs that don't have the shine but cant seem to figure it out. Sorry if this is in the wrong spot. Thanks for any help!
