With the release of ArmA III just a day away, Task Force 13 is very excited to announce that we will be running our Public Servers on the new Island Altis as I'm sure everyone is tired of Stratis and its multiple Grand Canyons :P On a more serious note, we are steadily increasing in numbers and are looking for dedicated players to apply for our Heavy Weapons Team (M240B Gunners and our Mortar Team/Crew Served Weapons) as well as our Assault Teams. We have 1 Pilot Slot left open if there are any pilots who wish to apply. As always, once you get through CSP training you may apply for our Pathfinder School and become a Pathfinder in the unit. SITREP 1: Task Force 13 has started it's Dynamic Campaign/Deployment to Stratis and the Stratisian Republic of Koplic. Yesterday, 10 AUG 2013, SAT, at 2000 EST our Operational Teams took out a vital UN/NATO Convoy sending troops and supplies to the coastal town of Agia Marina. They then proceeded to eliminate the French Diplomat sent in to negotiate for peace, planted NATO weapons on the scene and exfiltrated thus coercing the French to intervene on the side of the Stratisian Rebels. This takes us to the Stratisian Republic of Koplic where the French Foreign Legion has started local Search and Destroy operations to weed out any Koplicans loyal to the Stratisian Republic. Future operations will include assisting French Legionaires in operations and to ensure a successful coup of the current regime. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ We now have two Dedicated Game Servers, a 40 man Private Server for Operations, Training, SERE School, and Mission Testing. I think that ArmA 3 is the same as all the other installments in the series. I understand and agree with the original points made in this thread, but I think we can all agree that nobody plays ArmA in its vanilla state or the most part. I for one, think that modders make ArmA what it really is. BIS does a good job with getting the baseline product out the door, but the devs of ACRE, ACE, terrains, units, Zeus AI, and all those great mods make ArmA what we love to play.

On 24 June 2013 the 7th Special Forces Group was created as a place for ArmA Gamers to come play ArmA III in a structured, professional, and fun environment where like-minded gamers could converge. I Spectre (Kevin Williamson) Decided to create this unit because I wanted a place where I could play ArmA III In its Alpha/Beta Stages the same way ArmA II is played in a Realism Unit. Everywhere I went to play ArmA III in a Realism Unit they all claimed to play ArmA III, however upon further inquiries I was told to download A2 and CO as well as all the mods. I've transitioned from A2 and CO to ArmA III and wish to provide you with a unique gaming experience. This unit is based on the EST (Eastern Standard Time) Timezone as I am at Fort Campbell, KY for the Army. We utilize a modpack to enhance our gaming experience. We run Unit Trainings on Thursdays at 1900 EST and Unit Operations/Sessions on Saturdays at 1300 EST. We have our own server which can be found under 7th Special Forces Group and our own Teamspeak 3 Server which is ts22.gameservers.com:9277 Currently we are recruiting, however once we hit 17 Members (Active Players Only) We will cease recruiting until our unit decides to expand. We use ranks and a command structure as a way to divide responsibilities but never will you be required to address someone by their rank, or say sir or sergeant. We are a community first before a unit and we never forget our main purpose is to play ArmA III in a tactically fun way. There is no Basic Combat Training but Unit Trainings are mandatory to learn the necessary tactics to play with us. If you wish to just join in on an operation you can request to do so on the forums...however we reserve the right to deny you. 7th SFG is a Private Unit and because of that, we wish to keep our missions and addons "in-house".
