  2.  The eye-relief shadowing inside the tube seems like it could be some sort of gradient / alpha texture on the glass itself, rather than it be a side effect of the 3D model, but I could be totally wrong. It tends to give the ocular lens a bit of a bubble shape, as if it's kinda rounded near the edges of the glass like the objective lens. If it could even be replaced with a slight red hue, it would be more realistic, since the LED does cause that to happen some what around the edge of the glass, which you can see in the picture of mine from my previous post.

     

    @slider75 this will not be changing we are happy with it. but i may add red tint in V3

    We have updated the latest SMA with some small fixes.

    This update has adjusted the Elcan zeroing default to 100m. Also for some people who Prefer their 4x Elcan optics to work more in line with BI's 4x we now have an Optional Pbo for the Specter to allow the choice to either run both versions of the Elcan or just the one you prefer.

    The choice is yours but there are trade offs to having the 3d 4x zoom on the Elcan so try it and make your own mind up on which you prefer. We don't really need a massive debate here on the forum about it this is why i gave people the options.

    Also optics have much less glare.

    We also fixed the weapon accuracy.

    so we have an update to fix some small bugs we had on release.

    Addition to that we found and had reported to us some errors on the SKS ammo that's been fixed also the optional vanilla ammo pbo is now fixed and back in the optional folder as intended.

    We also forgot to add our Recoils pbo so that has been fixed.

    There was a consensus of some of our optics having a bit too much glare in certain light that's been addressed.

    And our weapon dispersion values where off by quite a bit so the guns became inaccurate This has been fixed.

    Along with some other small things hopefully this cleans everything up so we can get move on with V3 of the Add on.

  5. - I found a bug. the 57-N-231S ammo for the SKS doesn't work. I'm able to load the magazine into the gun but then it doesn't fire

    - some of the 7.62 magazines do not fully appear in the arsenal. It's strange I can add them to the vest by pressing + in the virtual arseanal but there is no description or picture whatsoever

    - would you guys mind making the silencers available for joint rails? (CBA)

    - and I think the red dots of the CMORE optics are just a little to big. they kinda cover up targets past 100-200m

    - I think the ACR really got downgraded with the steelmags instead of the magpul magazines :(

     

    + I'm absolutely in love with the new HKs and the ACR with EGLM on it. great work!

    + the elcan will be my new favorite optic from now on. you absolutely didn't exaggerate blaze :)

    + the weapons sounds used to be really rough sounding which I liked. now they just sound real badass. I love it!

    + thanks for adding some OD weapons for jungle warfare

     

    all in all I'm a blown away by this mod. you guys deserve a medal for this !!!

    Initially i done this because figured that Bi done same with their Medium range optics mode.. and was under the impression it was because of the average effective range of most weapons. But because the Elcan reticle is different and ranges differently i can see how it would perhaps be better to set the default zero to 100m rather than 300m then allow people to adjust from there. 

     

    We will do an update next week fix some small bugs if the consensus is more for this change im happy to fix it up (its not hard to fix at all).

  7. No, I'm also curious if there is a way to make it 4x.

    This scope has 1x 4x and iron site or RDS capabilities in game.. Not sure how you can not get it to work? same as arma controls to cycle the modes.

    On top of this there is MRT functions that allows fully adjustable illuminated reticle intensity for different lighting situations so depending on map or time of day your reticle is usable.

     

     

    Also there was a question about the 300m zeroing .. that's correct it is set at 300m on purpose for the 4x mode .. if you are engaging at close distance id recommend 1x or even the RDS or iron sight options.. Or if you still want it zoomed in at 4x then set your zero to100m ? up to you.

  9. My unit was talked tonight about a 7.62 sniper rifle, and it reminded me- weren't SMA working on a 7.62 dedicated DMR or sniper rifle of some kind? I remember you used to have 7.62 sniper rifle match ammo for the SCAR-H / HK417 but removed it as you planned to add a DMR/SR in that caliber. Also the blank ammo types/ slots in the ammo list from the removed magazines are still in Arsenal.

    No sorry the showcase is off limits and it has been taken down from V2.7 as it is broken at the moment.. well be working to fix it up and redoo it with new gear for V3..

  10. You most likely already know, but the SCAR-L CQB is actually  a heavier weight than the STD/ Standard barrel length right now, will that be fixed in the next update? I also read that you are getting new, improved, Spartan ballistics?

    I've used SMA3 before, the problem with that Elcan is that it didn't (then, maybe now?) have the true functionality of the Elcan - which is 1x, 4x, PIP/docop.  If you liked that Elcan, definitely check out RHS's.

  12. Don't mean to hijack this thread or take away from the great work being done by SMA, but if you like the Elcan, take a look at the Iansky Scope Mod, his Elcan is one of my favorite scopes available for this game and I'll be happy to see anything approaching that in quality.

    RHS elcan is not up to the standard we are about to release and we have further functionality......

     

    Will the Spectre support night-vision mode at all? Iansky's one doesnt, but if you would like to include it would a MRT enabled clip on / clip off NVG device of some kind be possible? I've seen it done before, but in a non-released addon.

    Yes it does support nvg no extra addons though.

  13. I know its not currently in the update schedule thing but any chance we could eventually see gl variants on things like the L85, Tavor, Etc? The weapons that are gl capable but are not gl yet. Just a curiosity question

    Its a good question..  So we are making more variations with GL compatibility most recent you will see is the ACR in 2.7 now has many variants with GL.

    As for the Tavor we will not be doing GL and we dont have time to do the L85 GL version either.. although id like to.

    We will still have many weapons upcoming that will have Gl variants for example the ARX 160 will the EF88\F90 will also. The F200 is a maybe at this stage but we will try also may be possible on our AK but no promises yet.

     

     

    How goes work on the Aimpoint T-2? Just recently bought one IRL, so excited to run around in game with it. I don't believe there's any other packs out there with one yet...?

    The Aimpoint T-2 is complete and you should have it to play with very soon within two weeks would be a fair estimate we are just doing the last fixes and changes now.  I also love this optic, we done a version with 3x magnifier, Standard and low mount.

    Not sure if your an Elcan fan like me but we have also just completed our long awaited Elcan SpecterDR Optics and i am absolutely over the moon about how they have turned out (well worth the wait) .

     

    We will have a teaser video up very soon for everyone and will link to our new website a few days before public release.

  14. Hello, Is it possible that you can add a TAN variant of the grippod? or the ability to retexture it?

    Hey yea good idea ill try fit that in next release. :)

    Unfortunately Bi have not fixed the hasBipod cmd in their code so when the bipods are attached the original grip stays there too. The idea is for it to disappear when attached but we will have to ignore it for now until its fixed.

     

     

    We also been working on a shiny new website for SMA so maybe next week ill give everyone a link to check it out, should be fun.

    Our team have been busy last 2 months we have alot done just finishing off the HK417 remodel and we should be good for release.

    We have already started work on our V 3.0 content so before anyone asks read the main page description on future releases for info on when your favorite weapon will be complete.
