  1. Arcadia has been in the works for awhile, but because of the size and scope of that city my current plans involve more of the suburban parts of the city rather than the massive skyscraper downtown parts. As for New Mombasa, it is the easiest to go forward with just because it is based off of a real location on Earth and the city presents itself as a easy place to make into a smaller map with a lot of structures. Structure wise and how enter-able buildings will be, I think Bradster is the best guy for those type of questions, I will communicate with him though and see if I cant help inform people of his planes there. Also in terms of New Mombasa being applicable to a Insurrectionist war scenario, think of it this way. The Innies blew up a cruise liner that was in Orbit over Reach, the most heavily defended planet in all of human space. If they can do that, I'm sure their must have been attacks on Earth. What better way to make the UNSC give up the outer colonies than to wreak havoc on Earth? Thanks for all the feedback on terrains guys, keep it coming. Also pictures and videos are very welcome, that video of Arcadia was pretty sweet. Also looks like I'm going to have to make a reddit account and go check out the new terrain thread. I'm currently revamping the terrain department, so if anyone wants to join or knows anybody who's good with terrain stuff, send em my way :). I'll be sure to update all of you on progress, and get some WIP screens out shortly.
  2. Currently Harvest Map is not in the works, as of right now. However, considering a lot of the outer colony worlds looked fairly similar to Harvest, I think you will be happy with what we have in store. ---------- Post added at 15:15 ---------- Previous post was at 15:12 ---------- I think for the moment the only huge city map we are planning for is New Mombasa, but perhaps New Alexandria could be another. It's difficult to create all the buildings needed to piece together a big city like New Alexandria or New Mombasa, but we might be able to figure something out down the road and after New Mombasa.
  3. So after pulling a all nighter and working nonstop on it for something like 11 hours and seeing how much I could soak up, i think I cracked a significant amount of problems. Honestly at this point penguin even a little help goes along way, like dog said add me on steam if your interested in helping us out [steam ID Will or just look up our steam group]. I don't have too much time in the build up to school and my sports season so having someone chipping away at it would be a huge help as well.
  4. Rough sketch of the reach map in development for possible alpha/beta release. http://imgur.com/f7zoTo7 airbase would be located at the lake at the bottom right of the map, and excuse the vegetation as that would all be reworked.
  5. One of our maps in the making is planned to be based off of New Mombasa, and considering they had a pretty massive police force I wouldn't be surprised if it is something we add in down the line.
  6. First off I want to say this project already looks to have a lot going for it and I really respect the amount of work the team has put in so far, its really paying off. Next up I had a couple of questions; I've done a little bit in map creating in my time and although I'm pretty damn rusty I might be able to help you guys out, I'll add you on steam dog so we can talk more. Anyways my question is what terrains were you thinking of? My first thought would be Eridanus II considering it was a pretty major hot spot in the insurrection, but their are also plenty of different areas that could be used as well so I'll leave that up to you. Hope I can help with this really cool project. Regards, Will
  7. Awesome stuff man! I really love this map, cant wait till the Vietnam mod comes out for this. One quick thing though, on a bunch of the military outposts in cities you have 2 green barracks outside of the walled in section, was this a mistake or intentional? It just looked a bit odd to me. Anyways thanks so much for this great content I love it!
