Why do my scope optics disappear after reloading a save?

But according to DnA the release date isn't being pushed, the full game is being "released" as half-finished with the campaign being delivered at a later date. If they declare this a full delay and extend the beta by giving us a significant content update such as Altis then I can understand. But the course that BI is appearing to take is a scummy one. Then again, I don't know because we found this out through a third party source. Why isn't there a new spotrep up explaining the situation already? And to your second point, I do play MP and enjoy MP but it's the precedent it sets. BI is effectively telling the community to do their work for them.

That's the thing though, this decision wasn't decided on last week but obviously some time ago. Why are we only finding about this through a third party source? It's almost as if BI's hand was force because of this leak.

This obviously was decided some time back and I'm no longer willing to give BI the benefit of the doubt so I'd be bet this leaked interview forced their hand to make an announcement.

Oh wow, you mean to say the thing we paid for will eventually be delivered to us? What a fucking steal! I think i'll inform everyone I know about what a killer offer this! What is this, kickstarter? Arma3 will only be "released" when we actually get what was advertised initially, a single-player campaign along with everything else. From this post it appears you're going to ship half a game and pass it off as "released' when it in fact isn't. So why not just cut the crap and extend the beta until the game is actually done. Hell, since we're getting only half the game when it's "released" why not just give us Altis now? And frankly, boasting that not having to pay for the thing we initially put money down for is just laughable from a veteran developer. I would expect something like the first set of DLC to be free for all alpha/beta participants. I've been playing BI games for over a decade and it's become clear that they don't seem to think much of their player base. Shame on me for falling for their snake oil yet again.

It's actually not a real mission haha, just an ammo box in the editor with the requisite line in the initialization. Still trying to get my bearings straight about editing in ARMA. Which VAS folder though? Is it the main one, the one in the gear.stratis folder or the one in the scripts folder? Thanks

getting a script VAS\open.sqf not found error when attempting to use it in the editor
