Hey whats up A3 com...atm i am looking for 2-4 Players wo are intersted to play Arma 3 Wasteland on the Map Chernarus. The server offers completly remodeled weapons from Arma 2 and new uniforms plus vehicles from Arma 2 also reworked with opening doors and so on. Atm we are just 2 but we are still looking for interested people who speak proper german or englisch. Hello guys in this Thread i would like to introduce you the Magnon Entertainment Wasteland Community First of all i would like to inform you about the Version we are using for Wasteland,and after that the Feature list what you can do on our server etc So our work is Based on Fackstahs version,maybe some of you guys allready know his version of wasteland,where you can capture outposts and getting payed for it. Our main modder nearly completely rewrite the entire scrypt code for missions and all other features of fackstahs version,because it was outdated and he stoped working on it. Next thing on our server is the Feature list,you nearly can buy every Equipment part that is includet in ARMA 3 in one of the Gunstores on the map or General stores. We also have Fuel-Stations and Repair spots for vehicles,where you can fuel up and repair even Tanks and choppers. Also we provide a solid mission scrypt where you can make missions like Convoys,Civilian-Choppers,Attack-Choppers,and even APC/Tanks. But Attack choppers and APC must be Repaired and Fuel up,before you can use them. For that you have a Player menu,that you can reach if you scroll your mouse wheel,then you will see a Player Menu butten,use it with the press of the mous button and you will see Player Menu.In this player menu you will see left of it a distance indicator,near/medium/far/insane with these options you can regulate your View distance. I recommend people to use Medium,because thats the best way of getting good performance and solid view distance. Also you will notice a little Menu on the right,this Menu is the survivale/equipment area there you can see stuff like Canned-Food,Water-Bottle,Empty-Fuelcan,Repair-Kit,Medikit. Of course you need to eat and drink after long travel distance.With the Fuel-Can you can fill up fuel at the Markers on the map,and the Repair kit Repairs a Vehicle up to 100 Percent but after using it,it will disappear from the survival/equipment area also the Medikit,it heal you up to 100 Percent. Und the Player Menu you see the Amount of Money,you also can drop the Money on the ground.To get money on our server,you need to Capture outposts that you see on the Map it Explains it self,Blue is holding by BLUEFOR,Opfor-Red,Green-independent.You have to Stay round about 4-5 Minutes until you will get a message that your faction captured the AREA. Also you can Pick up Money from dead bodys,you will notice a sac or a pouch near the dead body,you can pick it up with scrolling the mous button. Also you need to buy food and water by the General store,dont worry it is pretty cheap ATM. Soon we will release Tutorial Videos who explain everything that you can do on our servers,like Building bases,transporting-stuff,vehicle-content and much more. Right now we have running 3 Server 2 servers with 50 Slots and 1 server and 1 server with 40 slots,but sometimes he could be locked. Yeah the system isn´t final yet,it´s still in development.There tons of things that Frezzer has to fix and change.Guess it will be final round about september 20 then you can expect a fully running version of it,with spawn´s for squad members and much more. -
Has nothing to do with your graphic card or CPU,have a GTX 680 with 4-GB Ram 8GB 1600 MHZ ram and Core i7-860 3.2GHZ in Singleplayer 60-70 Constant FPS On Ultra cant rise anything higher,and Viewdistance Overall 4000 and Object is 2187 shadow is 50 cause useless.In singleplayer allways Smoothe FPS,in Multiplayer on most servers you only can change the Viewdistance with the Player menu that you can choose with the mousewheel,there the option is Medium,cause everything about it will kill every CPU max FPS then 20. To play on Insane Viewdistance on Multiplayer with 50-60 FPS i guess you would need 4-8 NASA Super Computers with there own AI It is just absolutly unbalance in the performance section.

Has nothing to do with the graphics card,the problem in Multiplayer is the Viewdistance,in most cases you only can change that viewdistance in the player menu when you scrool your mouse wheel.If you change it in the grafik option menu it will have no effect on the FPS.Arma 3 isn´t optimized yet,it will take months until the MP part will run smoothe like the Singleplayer. Like i say the main problem in ARMA 3 is the Visibility and Object overall these both settings make the difference if you have high FPS or low FPS. Other settings like Shadows,Terrain,Grass/Trees,Cloudes,Water etc have nearly no effect on the FPS. It doesnt matter if you play on Low,Medium,High,Very-High,or Ultra the FPS nearly are the same. If you choose the settings from bohemia like medium settings he will change the visibility to,wich means you will get LOW FPS adjust the visibility and then it should work normal. But like i say in multiplayer it only makes difference on the FPS if you change the viewdistance in the player menu with the mouse wheel. -
Dont know in my Eyes divers are pretty cool in arma 3.Also i think that most people dose not play the scenarios or the campaigne if it comes out,guess 90 percent will jump right in to the Mulitplayer action. And yes you are right,the underwater weapons are only made for underwater engagement against other divers,and maybe you allready notice that you can get a diver bag,wich is actually pretty big. In this diver bag you can put in another weapon,or you can jump in the water with your regular weapon,but then you cant shoot underwater. I cant wait until they release the full version,then it will be amazing to dive with the small sub and mark targets from up to 2000 kilometers away and then get it bombed from a Jet or something like that. And in the meantyme the rest of the squad lands on the coast and is getting deeper behind enemy lines.This is going to be so amazing :)

I just wanted to ask,what you guys think the green army is getting for a tank? Right now we know that Bluefor (I gues) will get the Israel-Merkava Tank,and Opfor will get the T90/T95/T100? So far i could not find anykind of screenshots for the Mainbattle Tank of the green army,guess they will get Leopard 2A7+? Here on these screenshots we can see the Merkava and i guess a modernized version of a T90 or T90 MS https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=500775503302518&set=a.200058936707511.47414.192181357495269&type=1&theater But on this screenshot we also can see a T90 with a totally different cannon,and the cannon kinda looks pretty scary,more like a rail gun. First rule in the Army you always fight and die with your Brothers.I have never seen a army,that is sending out 1 man army soldiers who are capable to destroy everything alone on there path. In every normal army unit on the planet,you operate as a team,and everyone has his special abilities and equipment,like the medic,group-leader,Heavy-Weapon support,anti-tank,snipers etc. And it will never change like you wanna have it,1 sniper who can kill everyone alone with sniper scopes wich includes rangefinders,balistic-computers,thermal/infrared vision,anti reflection scope protection etc. You always need some one who is fighting with you,because alone i guess only a Speznas,KSK/Navy-Seal,or Green Bereat soldier would survive in such a situation cause of there extrem mental and physical training. But i guess that we gonna see some sniper scopes wich include atleast thermal vision or infrared.

Hi what you guys think about deactivating Brightness or Gamma settings in Multiplayer,so that all players have the same chance to make a kill? Right now when you play on a server of ARMA 3 and it is night,most people just adjust there Brightness and Gamma lvl in ARMA 3,that makes Nightvision googles kinda useless.If they put the brightness and gamma on maximum,they nearly can see as good as they see when its daylight. In Multiplayer this is a HUGE advantage when people are using maximum brightness and gamma in multiplayer,without using nightvision googles. Or if thats to much,decreasing the brightness and gamme lvl in MP to brigthness 1.2 and gamma 1.5. Right now you can put the brightness on 1.5 and gamma on 2.5 with these settings,you can even snipe people like it is daylight without nightvisions or thermal vision/infrared.

Yes for the APC it works now,but the Strider is still firing his smoke canisters all around the vehicle.Also it would be pretty cool to see the other features that i post in thread. -
So i noticed today that the Strider real Name Fennek can swim in ARMA 3 oO i couldn´t find anykind of documents about it,but as far as i know it was planned but then they delete it again to Optimize it into a more efficient observing vehicle. Also the tires of the strider have runflat materials in it,so that means if you shoot the tires,they dont rip apart or explode after some shots they only get out of air.And under the rubber you will see the runflat tires,but right now you shoot them and they explode until you see the rim,but on the rim there is no element of runflat tires in the ARMA version.Also the Strider has a Commander seat where you can observe the enemy,but you also can raise this observation device into a high of 3,29 Meters in arma thats also not possible. Also the smoke screen that can be fired from the commander seat is wrong,in real the smoke screen cannister is in the back of the vehicle as you can see it in game,but they only fire round about 20 meters infront of the vehicle and not like it is in ARMA 3 to all sides of the vehicle. So is that because of the ARMA 3 BETA ?

Yep thats right,also raising up the the Gamma/Brightness makes flares fired from GL useless,also glowsticks. I mean in real its the same like it is in arma,when you are out somewhere in the forest you also dont have anykind of light except the one from the vehicles or flashlights. In my eyes it just takes the tension the heat out of the game when people use this kind of feature,like adjust there brightness and gamma to maximum while i´m hunting. I mean at night you still see pretty good,just not when you are in a forest and it is 1:00 AM of course you dont see something then,except you have flashlights or GL´s with flares. Also in most cases a Special Force troop have Nightvisions,but it would be cool if people could play normal without adjust there gamma and stuff like that. -
Hi i just wanted to know if its possible to add a animation for the nightvision in ARMA 3. Right now its is like you equip the night vision,then you press N and he instant activates the NV googles in my eyes thats pretty unrealistic,because when you play in Third person,you will see that the NG googles are on his head but when you Press N they are instant on his eyes,that just looks silly. It would be cool if it would have a delay with a animation,like he is pulling it down on his eyes and activates it,so that it looks realistic.

Great idea? you dont know how it is to be a soldier behind enemy lines right? i mean Exoskelets are EXTREMLY expensive,and even in the year 2035 i guess only Sergeant Major or Captain in the ARMY of the different countrys would get there hands on this kind of equipment. *snip* Also only a few regiments would get this kind of a equipment like Mountain Division of the US army,cause there you could need Exoskelets or a mule to bring the gear up the mountain.But behind enemy lines equipment like the one in the video would be way to dangerous to use. -

I dont think its because of medical conditions,most of them i guess 95 percent just changing it to see better then the others.And that gives them a huge advantage against other players,so in multiplayer there should be a locked number for Gamma and brightness. So that all people have the same chance to make a kill or play on the same lvl like others,and not just set the settings on maximum and play like it is daylight.You can try it out in a mission,you will see the difference is EXTREM when playing gamma 1.1 and brightness 1.1 vs both on 1.5 or 2.5 -
The only thing that have effect on your FPS is the Overall and Object Visibility.Depending what kind of CPU you have,you will always have 30 FPS on pre set ULTRA settings,because he is increasing the visibility to a very high lvl. I suspect even with a NASA super computer you could not run it on Ultra with visibility on 12000 and also overall on maximum.So far i have a Core I7-860 3200MHz 8GB Ram GTX 680 4GB and i can run it on ULTRA just everything on ultra, everything is maxed out and cant be raised anymore,except visibiliy and overall.Visibility is on 4000 and overall on 2200,in Singleplayer you will get pretty good FPS with these settings,but in Mulitplayer you have to change them with the Playermenu that you can enter with the mouse wheel.Also it doesnt matter wich setting you choose manuel Low,Medium,High,Ultra doesnt matter,the FPS are still the same,you only notice FPS drops because if you choose them on the presets of ARMA 3 he will increase the Visibility on Medium,High,Ultra higher and higher thats the reason why you get FPS drops if you change them with the pre sets,but when changing them manuel with adjusting the visibility manuel,you should get normal FPS.

Cause normally when you die in MP,everything disappear except your normal gear like vest,uniform,pistol,backpack. The equipment that you bought always disappear.

In multiplayer the only way to increase the visibility is in the player menu when you use the mouse wheel,and yes it doesnt matter if you play on low or on ultra. The FPS are still the same,the most thing that counts on FPS drops is the visibility overall and object. The higher you raise the visibility overall and objects the lower your FPS will get,but the other things like terrain,shadows etc have no effect on the FPS. -
Most of it is totally wrong in this post. I mean did you ever seen the GMG 6 Lynx Sniper shooting in real? the weapon nearly has no recoil,thats a fakt,also the Cheytac M320 .408 Cal nearly no recoil especially when you lay on the ground. Bohemina say that ARMA 3 is a simulator yes but its not,i mean there are 10000 things that they would have to correct and fix so that they can call it realistic militaray simulation. You can count on that the Modders of the Modification ACE will make ARMA 3 realistic as Possible,like they allready did in ARMA 2. There version of ARMA 2 with ACE mod was pretty close to a real army simulator. I guess bohemia fear´s it that it could be like red orchestra to realistic,that it dose not reach every military fan who is playing shooters like these. Cause in red orchestra players die much much faster then in arma,cause there is everything harder then in ARMA 3.

You only can lock vehicles with the Attack chopper as the gunner,the Pilot only fly the Mashine and the gunner dose the rest,like Using the Cannon and Lock on Targets with AT/AA Rockets.

As far is i understand it,OPFOR are the russians in ARMA 3.Bluefor is NATO and Independent is i guess Europe,in some of the ARMA 3 Story descriptions they say something about russia overrun most parts of Europe in no time,and now NATO was send to Altis to clear the Situation. Correct me if i´m wrong

I have never seen bounce rockets,but bullets bounce of from armor,depending on wich angel you shoot them.You can test it with tracer rounds. -

And the next and most important Question is on what kind of a NASA Computer you wanna play it in 3D? seriously ARMA 3 runs with 1 Core even if you have 8 also it only uses just 40-55 percent of your graphic cards power.So with how manny FPS you wanna play ARMA 3 in 3D Mode? you guys know that every pixel has to be calculated 3 times from the graphic card in 3D mode,so right now you play ARMA 3 with a GTX 780 8GB ram and the fastest Intel CPU on 30-50 FPS,and with how much you would play it in 3D? 8-15FPS? its still a long way until you can use 3D to play arma 3 Normal without laggs.
