Shooting with a 5 Call is always a one hit in ARMA 3,we test it many times with bots and realy player,they nearly die all the time with 1 hit.Sometimes they survive a hit in the lower leg,but then only with 2-5 HP.Of course ARMA 3 say´s it is a simulation but its not. -
Will CTI be Implemented into Arma 3?

CTI should be allready implemented in ARMA 3,have seen some servers where people play CTI but only some of them,most of the people are playing wasteland atm. -
Why aren't the wreck models used as "destroyed" models?

The prob is that ARMA 3 has no damage system for Vehicles,so that means they just explode thats it.Some pieces fly around cause of the impact of rockets or grenades,and then the vehicle blows up and burn until its just a wreck.They designed them like that,so to change that,they have to rework the entire models for all vehicles and that would take alot of work.Yes its true,the visual destruction model of ALL VEHICLES in ARMA 3 is just a bad joke,because they have all unrealistic behavior like shots from Rifles or grenades.I guess they dont change anything of it,maybe after the release.I mean say it is a realistic right? a military simulator? in my eyes there are ton´s of things that they have to do to make the game a realistic Military Simulator.But i guess nearly all hardcore ARMA 3 players are just waiting for the ACE Modification for ARMA 3. -
So i just wanted to ask when we can expect BattlEye for ARMA 3? is the release Planed for the BETA or Final Release? because atm,i´am concerned about the security on the server. We are running 2 ARMA 3 Wasteland servers and over the day the servers are Full nearly all the Time,but the biggest problem´s are the Hackers,we have antihack scrypts,but they are still able to hack the server. Even Today we banned 10 possible cheaters on our server,and that is just a bad joke guys.As a admin we can easily spy the cheaters out,like people are flying Kajman Chopper of the price for 100.000 dollars instant without playing. Or having 20000000000 credits on there account.We defently need BattlEye,the people love our wasteland servers and we would like to give them the most smooth expirience in wasteland they can find so far. With Base Building system,and player save progress so when you logout and login next day you spawn with your equipment with that you log out the day before. Seriously the hacker attacks are a joke ATM we even had doss attacks on the server,also 3-4 vehicle spammers etc and slowly but sure we lose the connection to the people who just wanna play some rounds and have fun in wasteland. We realy would like to see BattlEye as soon as possible in ARMA 3.

Arma 3 massive FPS issues, Tried everything - Nothing works.

-cpuCount=4 -exThreads=3 that one doesnt work,because you dont have 4 cores on your CPU only 2.Also it doesnt matter if you change the Terrain,Ojbect,AF,Shadows or othere settings in ARMA 3 nothing will change. You can play on Ultra or on Low you will have the same FPS,the only thing that gives you FPS in Singleplayer is viewdistance and Objectviewdistance. The Higher your CPU is clocked the higher you can raise the view distance,on 3,3 ghz in singpleplayer you can go for viewdistance up to 3200 View and object on 1800. In Multiplayer you only can change viewdistance over the Player Menu with the mouse wheel,there you will see a menu near,medium,far,insane on medium even i have shitty FPS with a GTX 680 4GB 8GB ram and Core i7-860 2.8GHZ. Everything above view distance Medium needs a cpu of a core i7-3770K with 3.5 GHZ and on insane hmm it would work with a Core i7-3770K but only in turbo mode with 3,9GHZ. Problem here is that arma only uses 1 Core and only 30-45 GPU power,so it doesnt matter what kind of PC you have atleast in Multiplayer the server also should have the power to support your PC. -

I can guarantee you that you defenetly go down after a shot with a .308 Sniper bullet.The impact of a sniper rifle with call .308 would penetratet a lvl 3 also lvl 4 armor from 500 meters away. In Germany we did a test on our balistic vests class 4,they stop a bullet of a AK-47 from a distance of 1 meter.But getting shot from such a distance or up to 200 meters you defently would be knock off your feet. In most weapons of ARMA 3 are 6.5 MM they are pretty simular to 5.56 NATO but they fly faster and are better stabilized,but they dont offer the power auf a 7.62 round. I most cases if you are getting hit while wearing a type 3 or 4 vest you dont even notice,that something hit you if it was 5.56 NATO rounds. -
Hey guys i just wanted to ask what you think about a more userfriendly Editor for ARMA 3? i mean atm you have to do manny options and settings out of the Editor,to creat awesome Mods like Wasteland.So right now when you create a missions everything is fine, but when you go for MP its a different story.Everything starts with placing units making routes,triggers,where they spawn etc but then you have to make scripts,and thats what i REALY hate.Leaving the game,creating extra txts filling them up with messages etc and then TEST,TEST,TEST until it works.Thats just so much work that you need ages until you completet the modification like you wanna have it,it would be cool to see more options in the Editor like you place a unit,example a Car and then at the same location you can choose a timer for repsawn,like if destroyed it respawns in 2 min,or if the vehicle wasn´t used after somene was inside it respawns in 10 mins.Or stuff like loot-pool for vehicles and soldiers in MP a example,you place some vehicles all over the map and then you choose a window near the vehicle,where you can put in items that you want,these item fill up the item list for the spawned vehicle,the vehicles are differented in groups like civilian,military/light/heavy,choppers,jets,boats.And after saving the map only the stuff that is inside the loot list will spawn inside of these vehicles,and then you can go on to military vehicles and pack them up with rifles,backpacks,vests,NV-googels,atm i play alot of Wasteland but it sucks to rewrite the scripts all the time so that civilian vehicles spawn without weapons,because thats pretty unrealistic. Or you can choose this option to create gunstore´s on the map,addin a vendor wher you can sell every of your items,and you can choose how much you can buy and sell it,so that these feature´s make editing much easier then it is atm.

Hello guys i just wanted to start a conversation about wasteland servers,like you noticed there are some differences from server to server,like no backpack,NV-googles,etc of course most noticible is the the FPS drop that most user get when they play wasteland.Also there are 2 different versions of wasteland like the one from Joschaap 404Games or fackstah,today i introduce some of there changes and features ingame. So lets start with the version of 404 Games,they have server where you just have a pistol,backpack,vest,uniform,helm,9-mm clip,but on these server you only can get weapons from missions or randomly placed weapon crates around the map.So that means because there are no vehicles you cant find weapons like on other versions of wasteland.Also the server has no water/food system,so that means you will see the symbols on the right corner near your health,but they dont sink if you dont drink or eat.Also this is the only server,where most of the players get very high and constant FPS,because the server is not overloadet with objects like cars,food,water,money,dead player bodys.In this version its also just about killing players finding weapons and surive. Secound version is the one of Joschaap on his version of Wasteland,you can drive vehicles you spawn with vest,uniform,9-mm,9-mm clip,backpack,NV-Googles,Helmet. His version is a bit different then the 404 Games one. On his server are also randomly spawned vehicles,where you can find guns like MX,Katiba,MK-200,and some others no Explosives. Cars inlcudet in his version Civilian: Pickups,Quads,Boats. Military-Unarmed: Hunter,Ifrit,Strider,Zamak-Truck 2 versions,HEMMT-Truck 2 Versions,Quadbikes,Boates,Choppers. Military-Armed/Only in Main and Side Missions: Hunter,Ifrit,Strider,APC opfor and bluefor,Patrole boates,Choppers. Military Choppers unarmed: MH-9 Littlebird,UH-80 Ghosthawk,PO-30 Orca,PO-30 Orca Black,CH-49 Mohawk. Military Choppers armed: AH-9 Pawnee Littlebird,AH-99 Blackfoot Commanche,MI-28 Kajman,MI-28 Kajman/Black. The Military Vehicles who are unarmed,can be found anywhere on the map of stratis also the unarmed choppers except the UH-80 Ghosthawk. The Military Vehicles who are armed,can only be found in some of the missions that joschaap designed for his version of wasteland,they are heavely guardet by AI also with rocket troops. In joschaaps version you also can get weaponcrates from side missions,they are also guardet by AI and the include weapons like explosives,rifles,alot of ammo. Also there are special missions like capture the outpost,the outpost is also very very good protected by the AI the outpost includes a variety of weapons. Also you can pick up items like sandsack barricades to build up bases or outposts,you even can transport them in your vehicle,by move this object then klick on load in vehicle.Then you can choose vehicle content and you will see that the barricade is inside of your truck,and now you can move it to your location to build up a base also crates can be moved.But notice that cares have a limit of loading. In joschaap version the gameplay is nearly close to the one of 404 Games,you search for gear,food,weapons,and vehicles to survive.You also can get weapons,items,ammo etc from the different placed gunstores on the map,in his version the weapon prieces are very very cheap,like a assault rifle costs like 110-250 dollars,while rocketlauncher like Titan plus rocket costs 500 Launcher and 140 for the rocket.Money you can earn by killing players,just pick up the sack that you see near the players also food and water that you need to survive,if you reach 0 you die. The last Version of the wasteland mods is the one of fackstah,his modification is a little bit different then the one Joschaap.First big change is in fackstahs version you can capture bases,outposts like airstation-mike,kill-farm,agia-marina,airfield,and alot others,all 3 teams can capture these outposts.If you team as example the independent captures one of these outposts you will recieve money cause your team captured this outpost/base.Also Bluefor and opfor can recapture them too,and then they get money for it again,except you defeat them and strike back.Also you can see the areas on the map that is controlled by the enemy faction like independent or bluefor.Here in this version you also have alot of vehicles like the same as joschaap´s version also gunstores and regular stores where you can buy food and water.The weapon prieces are higher,because your team is getting payed for catpuring bases/outposts so that you can buy faster the weapons you want.But the prieces are still pretty low,like snipers for 2500 dollars and rocketlaunchers for 500.You also can build up bases wher ever you want,and you also have main and side objectives that you can make to get armored vehicles and weaponcaches. So now i realy would like to hear what you guys would like to see in wasteland,do you guys prefer more the version that is unrealistic like everywhere vehicles,spawning with NV-Googles,Backpack,Vest,etc and low weapon prieces so that everyone who runs and kills 2 players can buy a rifle. Or do you guys wanna have a more realistic version of wasteland,where you have to earn your self the gear that you want? i post you an example how i think it would be great to play in wasteland. 1.You spawn with just a Pistol and 1 9-mm Clip for it plus your normal uniform.No vest,no backpack,no NV-Googles. 2.Vehicles on the map 50 normal Civilian vehicles Pickups,Quadbickes(Colored) spawn on the map near roads and villages,they have gear like small backpacks,1 medipack,different googles,wetsuits-rebreathers,hats like basecaps/military caps. 3.Military Vehicles spawn ONLY near/in Military Outposts like Airstation-Mike,Airfield,Camino-Firing/Range,Camp-Maxwell,Camp-Tempest,LZ-Baldy,and Military Range.Only in Military vehicles you can find long range weapons like rifles,MGs,Ghillie-Suits,Large-Backpacks,Military-Backpacks,Vests/Tac/or Large Carrior Rigs/Vest,Helmets,Radio,GPS,Medikits,Repair-Tools,Ammo-for Different weapons,in the Big Millitary Trucks-Explosives like mines,AT-mines,C4,AP-Mines,in some cases sniper rifles inside Military Trucks,with 1-2 Clips for the sniper. 4.There are still Missions that you can complete like abandon HMMT Truck of the bluefor,or landet Choppers,Outpost missions,Chopper-Patrole,Diving-Missions,Armored-Vehicle Missions. 5.The game still have the Gunstores in,but the prieces for the weapons are close to the one in real life,a example a assault rifle would cost 2000-3000 have to research it,and a 12,7/50 Call sniper or 408 Cheytech sniper would cost 8,900 Dollar.Also backpacks,vests,helmets,range-finders,binoculars,scopes,uniforms,diving-suits,ammo,rocket-launchers,nearly everything that is in the BETA right now will get real prieces like they would cost in our real world.To get the money for this equipment,i would say if you capture a village,you will get 200 dollars for your team,if you capture a outpost you will get 500 dollars and the airfield is seperated into 2 parts,which will be marked on the map for controlling bothe of them you will get 500 dollars.Plus i also thougt about a money income that gets you a payout for the time your team is holding the position.Example you capture Airstation-Mike,your team will be payed and you will get 500 for capturing it and after 5 minutes you will earn another 150-or 200 dollars for holding that outpost,i think this is a nice solution to keep the players traveling on the island and give them something to do. 6.There are also generall stores where you can buy Food/water also clothes like uniforms,small/Medium backpacks,and other itmes like googles,binoculars and some other small things like medikits,repair tools,and at the general store the prieces are a little bit cheaper then the gunstore,but for that there are no ammo and weapons at the general store. So that is for the first,and i hope that you guys like my idea about wasteland and have a nice look about the different versions of wasteland. Zonetrooper

On Multiplayer the only effect that works is over the mouse wheel player menu and then set the viewdistance on near/medium.Also it could be your CPU 2.60 ghz ist just a joke today,ok i also have 2.8 ghz on my Core i7-860 but the game run pretty good so far.

Yeah everyone gets smooth FPS in singleplayer,try to play some round DOM,CTI,Wasteland in Multiplayer have fun with 30 FPS or less.Visit Magnon server its the only server where nearly all people have 40-60 fps on wasteland. -
Why to people play so much Life and Wasteland?

Because right now it makes no sense to play domination.Most people wanna play and have there fun,tell me where is the fun,when you spawn at kamino firing range and infront of you is a VAC? seriously where is the fun in it? people equip there self with 1 sniper tons of ammo biggest-backpack,best-vest,helmets,titan launcher,tons on rockets and then they are going to the chopper wow now this is REALY REALY interesting and realistic please.Also there are only 2-3 pilots per team,and everyone is fighting for there position,also the guys who sit in inside on one of the attack choopers will dominate the map as long as they are doing it good.The gunner of the chopper can SEE EVERYTHING with his Thermal vision for round about 2 kilometers infront of him,no soldier of the enemy team can lock on so fast,the gunner would kill you multiple times before the lock on would be ready.There is nearly no teamplay in domination,in Wasteland you create you own kind of gameplay.Ok right now wasteland is yeah like a GTA in the ARMA 3 universe,because the modders are modding in that way so that even kidds who dont understand the mechanics of arma can have fun with this mod. I allready made the suggestion to make wasteland more realistic,like base capturing where you earn money for it,and then you can buy weapons,tools,items,ammo etc for it.Also missions like outpost missions,chopper,weapon-creates.Also things like you just spawn with 1 pistol and 1 clip for you weapon,no vests,no backpack,no NV-googles,no binoculars,eveyrthing you have to earn on your own.The stuff you need you can find in cars like googles,diving-suits,smaller backpacks,different headgear, and weapons only in military vehicles who spawn near military camps/bases.There you could find vests,helmets,big/military backpacks,weapons,ammo,explosives,and all the other stuff,but also in a limited amount like 1 weapon and 1-2 mags maybe sometimes even a scope.And the weapons in the gunstores would have real weapon prices,so that you have to earn yourself the stuff you want,like assault rifles TRG-20 1800 dollars light MGs 3600 dollars rocket launchers up to 13000 dollars and sniper like the G6-Gepard(Lynx-12,7 Cal) 14,999 dollars.So that the prices are more realistic,but still affordable because you are getting payed by capturing bases and by picking up the money from dead players,so in 30 mins you allready can buy a big sniper and with good equipment etc.Or you could find it in one of the missions who starts all 15-20 minutes. But no one wants this version,most of the people wanna play this game with tons on vehicles where you find tons of weapons in it just find one and start to kill.I guess people just love it to play as simple as possible,they just dont wanna do anything for there equipment,just open the ass and everything flyes in :cool: -
Right now it doesnt matter what kind of PC you have,you can have a 700€ PC or you can have a 5000€ PC with 2 GTX Titans and a Intel Core i7 3960X with 6 Cores and overclocked to 4,2 GHz and 16 GB ram,you will have the same FPS like the 700€ pc in Multiplayer.Arma 3 uses just 40-60 Percent of the CPU also just 1 core,and the graphics card also isn´t under power all the time.Right now it doesn´t matter if you choose low,standar,high,very-high,or Ultra the FPS in Singleplayer remains the same,in Multiplayer it also doesnt matter wich setting you choose,the only thing that is letting the performance drop so hard ist the VISIBILITY Overall and Object.In singleplayer you can put them on my CPU Core I7-860 on nearly 3400 overall and object 2900-3200 there i get round about 30-70 FPS with a GTX 680 4GB ram and 8GB ram.In Multiplayer you only can adjust view distance with the scrole of the mouse wheele,there you have a option that is called player menu,choose it and then you will see a option like near,medium,far,insane these are the options with that you can reduce or increase the visibility of your character,if you choose them in Options it will have no effect.You can try it near and medium are the best option so far but Far and especially insane kills everyones FPS doesnt matter how strong his CPU is.It is just not optimized,and if they are going to release it with using just 1 core of potential 4 or 6 cores well then you can paint it out how it will run if you play multiplayer on a 270 square kilometers map,for a example stratis is just 20 square kilometers.

[RGG] 100 Player PvP Server Test (29/06/2013)

Dont know if you allready have expirience with alot of players,but it will reduce the fun of gameplay on a extrem lvl.Today i and the Magnon team raised the player limit to 65 Players on wasteland,and it was just horrible.You cant run 1 meter without being killed its just no fun with playing with so manny players,everywhere are players.And if you wanna run a Domination server 50vs50 teams would defenetly kill the server,just expect gunshots everywhere everywhere are players on a 20 square kilometers map.Right now it makes no sense to raise the player limit above 40-50 players,everything above it cuts the fun in the game,but you can try out 100 players and you will see what i mean.If you run a wasteland server with 100 people,i suspect that the server would totally overload,depending of wich version of wasteland you gonna use,if you choose joschaaps version with over 100 vehicles money,food,base-build/system,it will kill the FPS on the server for every player. -

Hmmm ok and thats what i hate about wasteland,it has nothing to do with arma anymore.Its more a GTA combined with battlefield 3 in the ARMA 3 universe.But this version of course would still excist because joschaaps version is the right one for you,run 1 meter find a car with a gun,scope,attachment,tons of ammo and play gta in arma 3. -
404Wasteland TPG Edition (Built-In Anti-Hack/Script)

This is not because of the peoples hardware,its because of the Mod.The 404 team have a version of wasteland where you have no vehicles and no food and water system,on these servers you have constant 50-70 fps nearly all players.And in versions of joschaap he has over 130 vehicles food and water that doesn´t respawned after a time,so it inundate the server and that causes the bag FPS for most the players.We also had a server that was running on fackstahs version where you get good fps but we also only had 40-50 vehicles on the server wich was enough to have great gameplay,on other servers the game feels like a GTA in ARMA 3 universe -..- -
Hope they NEVER implement this requested feature,maybe on the firing range but never in ARMA 3 final.

Reduce view distance to 500 also object view distance,deactivate Vsyn and sett everything on low then it should work normal.Atm on most systems it doesnt matter if you choose Stand,High,Very-High,or Ultra the FPS is still the same,the only thing that changes FPS extremly is the view distance 500 is the lowest there you have the most FPS but you only see 500 meters.Everything over 2200 view distance and object viewdistance is a pure FPS overkill,on Multiplayer you will get EXTREM FPS drops if you dont have a 3,5 ghz CPU.Also the Engine isn´t optimized to Quadcore CPUs so that means the entire game is using CPU based Physix and near all other things like view distance,and the CPU also works most of the time with 40-60 Percent on one core,not even 100 thats the reason why you have so low FPS.When you play wasteland,you get also huge FPS drops because of all the objects you see there,like over 100 vehicles on the map then bodys who dont despawn also food and water everything is draging the performance down.You can have a super ULTRA gaming PC with 2 GTX Titan graphiccards 16GB Ram and a Intel Core i7 3960X with 3,6 ghz the FPS wouldn´t change compared to a HD 7850 or a GTX 660 because the CPU bottlenecks the entire game,if bohemia cant handle this issue,and dont involve the other CPU cores and optimize the engine to run on 4 CPU cores with full use of them,you will still recieve low FPS in Multiplayer in the Final release.Atm Stratis is 20 square kilometers big and Altis will be 270 square kilometers and now consider how much FPS you would have on altis,270 square kilometers filled with Cars,Choppers,Boats,bases and 60 players are playing there you recieve extrem low FPS when you are on Agia marina or some other villages and now think how much FPS you will have if there will be entire cities i guess it would totally kill every PC except NASA supercomputers.

helicopters to overpowered with this radar?

Did you gues ever mind that this radar that you see there is just a help? the pilot can look out of the vehicle and see whats infront of him and you see it on the radar.And even if they would delete this cry radar like you call it nothing would change,because the gunner is still able to use thermal vision with that he controlls the entire island of stratis.Even before someone can lock on,the gunner would have eliminate the enemy multiple times.In wasteland we try it out,everyone had enough money to buy titan AA rockets and tryed to fire at us no CHANCE we raped the server for 30 minutes without getting shot and without using your cry radar everything was done by the gunner he just destroyed the entire island with his 1000 shot gun. -

Realy? are you sure that you want a USP? i was 2 years in the german Army,and we have the P8 its the same gun like the USP and with that thing you wouldn´t hit anything farther then 20 meters because of the hard recoil. -

You just need AA missiles,i guess the rocketlauncher had Normal RPD missiles? you can find normal and AA with normal you can lock ground and with AA choppers and jets. -
MRAPs with protected crew and heavy armor? wich version of arma 3 are you playing? the full realistic dream version that everyone wanna have? serioulsy the MRAPs are vehicles made of paper in arma 3,ramming a fence with 30 kmh engine down tires ripped off.I even coud destroy a MRAP with MK-200 with 120 shots the vehicle is resistant against IEDs and weapons up to 7.62 Dragunov.Or even better,i even killed a ifrit driver with a 9mm pistol with 2 shots right through the front window please dont use the word ARMORED VEHICLES in arma 3 they dont excist,it´s just a ilusion =)

First of all the Rockets that you see here are normaly not against these Hello Kitty vehicles that you see in ALPHA/BETA Content.RPG and the NLAW are Anti Tank weapons,the RPG-32 for a example has a 650 mm penetration ratio no Armored vehicle MRAP or APC could survive such a rocket hit.The US Arbrams M1A2 has a Frontal hull armor of 650 mm armor with composite armor,so the RPG could but i doubt that it would penetrate him,and the NLAW rockets usually dont hit the tank directly,they explode above the Turret of the vehicle while the main charge goes inside of the turret from above where he nearly has no armor and kills everything in it.And when i think about these lock on systems,the Titan is a counterpart of the Javelin rocket that kills everything with 1 hit even tanks,maybe they will be disabled and after that they would explode,of course the rockets are extremly strong,so the modders of maps have to limit them,so that not everyone is going to run around with them.Also the lock on system can be deactivated on some servers,you still can lock on,but you dont see the lock on symbols anymore so that makes it harder to attack helicopters and even if someone should fire a rocket,you have flares to guide the rocket away from the chopper. -
helicopters to overpowered with this radar?

Wrong modern choppers even get signals if a infrared or heat seeking rocket is coming,so that you easily drop out your flares until the rocket hits the vehicle.And please do you realy wanna tell me the USA or Russia spend 120 Million for a Appache or more and then they dont have lock on detection on these systems? please if you would be a chopper developer your chopper would be the best i guess,without radar and no lock on safty right? -

Are you guys seriously crying about the wrong ammo in the weapons of arma 3? please guys you are kidding right? i mean we are in BETA Status now,and there are still some HUGELY INSANE and massiv gameplay bugs in ARMA 3 that need´s to be handle then balancing weapons omg.I realy dont wanna start the list,because it is just EXTREM long,thats why i just call one of the majore bugs,like vehicles dmg system.Ramming a fence with 20 Kmh while you are driving a 12 ton vehicle destroys your engine,and rips of a tire.Or best example i ever had,2 days ago i killed the driver of a Ifrit with a 9MM pistol right through the frontal window with 2 shots,later that day a 50.Call of a Strider ripped of my APC with 30 bullets into pieces.I dont know if Bohemia just wanna kidd is,or if they say that this is realistic,seriously guys do you even know what a MRAP MAV named Hunter ingame is? this vehicle also the ifrit are IED protected vehicles,who can hold up a light IED they just get some dmg thats it,but you never NEVER could penetrate the Windows of these kind of vehicles with normal weapons except you have 408 or 50.Call.And so please guys when they fixed these horrible totally GAME DESTRUCTING issues then YES then you can cry about weapon ammo please but not now guys.
