  1. And you can also Draw on the map as well. I believe the controls are:

Draw/Squiggle:   hold L-Shift and draw with mouse (hold left-click button)

Straight Line:   hold L-Shift + L-Ctrl both and mouse

Works in MP as long as everyone is on the same Game/Radio Channel (side, vehicle, global, etc).

  2. I'm so sorry, I'm not sure I understand... If you are looking for a mission to shoot down enemy aircraft, I'd recommend just using my SCAR add-on and add how ever many enemy AOs you want.

Not sure if that kinda answered your question. I haven't used ALiVE in a long time. I'll have to check out this "air command" you speak of.

Modding time is almost zero for me right now. I have a bunch of smaller updates for most projects, but haven't had the time to upload them yet.

  3. If you just got it and are impressed on day one, then you'll be addicted by next week and possibly for years to come. You've only seen about 1% of what ArmA is about.

And welcome to the community! It's a pretty cool bunch of people.

  4. Most of ArmA is wide open, and meant for the player to build, design, edit, customize, etc their own personal style of gameplay. So by default most of the current ArmA is basic and neutral.

You can make your own USMC groups however you wish, with as much detail as you want. If you are new to modding or want something quick, you can always download custom Units, Unforms, Patches, Gear, etc from the Steam Workshop and/or Armaholic.

I don't know if you're aware or not, but The AR3 seems not to work. Setting the hpa settings on it just throws script errors, and it won't trigger the parachute. The ASTRAM doesn't seem to work over water, either. Other than that, This works surprisingly well seeing as it hasn't been updated in almost a year.  Me and my friends are having a blast with this, it cranks the immersion factor up by ten, and is infiinantly more easy to set up than trying to do the same thing or something similar ourselves in the editor.

LOL. Yup! We just found out the other week. We almost never use it, but decided to do a precision HALO below a cliff-line or something odd like that, and long story short, one of us pulled manually and landed off course somewhere in a panic, and I think I ended up splattering all across the side of the cliff from over correcting the freefall and trying to fix the AR3 in the whole spare second I had after I soiled my shorts...... SPLAT!

I've stopped working on Mods currently, and don't know when/if I'll have more updates for everyone. I'll try and do some updates before the end of May.

Hi Von, just wanted to say that this is a really cool mod and well done with what you have achieved so far!

I am having some problems unfortunately. I was able to get the mod to work the first time I tried it, and  the cinematic, lights, de-pressurisation etc, worked beautifully. Every time after that though and nothing seemed to work? No lights, De-Pressurisation or anything, just teleported to the plane with the background radio chatter.  It's possible i'm being a clutz but I didn't know if it was just me or if the mod has been broken by updates.

Either way I hope this is fixable (assuming work on the mod is still happening and or planned), but thanks for the great work!

Thanks! Um, its most likely due to it being designed for a 1-use shot. The way we play is we only play one game at a time. Just 1 life. So if you die in the game, you're out until the game/server resets, so I've never tested for more than one-jump-per-game. (Also, this mod is slightly out of date right now)

If I re-code it for multi-use, it would have a low probability. I've stopped modding for ArmA for awhile. I'm not sure if I'll be doing much more this year, or if I'll just wait until ArmA 4 to get back to being more heavily involved.

  6. A Full Medical DLC.

I'd pay $30 right now for an engine-side BIS Medical (with Drag/Carry) DLC similar to ACE3. I can't give my $$ to BIS fast enough if they'd crank out piles of both large and small DLC packs.  ;)

Where's all the mini-games? No more pressing X, or progress bars. ACE3 Medical is as close as we can get. BIS please take our money!

  7. Would it be inappropriate to kiss you!?

This has been a wish of mine since day 1. It's a huge glaring hole in the armaverse. I don't understand why bis didn't have a DLC for each: Land, Air, ....AND SEA!

Looks great. Can't wait to "dive" into this weekend. Hooyah! I gave up on my Submarine Mod project months ago. Great Job guys. o7

  8. 1. Steam WorkShop (easiest, up to date, auto check, etc)

    2. Armaholic (mods galore, run by Foxhound, organised, manual, etc)

    3. Direct author's source (mature bis forums, best support, etc)

Keep in mind, it's up to the author to decide where to get his/her project. Not all mods are on all locations. I recommend Steam, but check all three weekly.

  9. "No update due to logistical issues."

Lol. Sorry for the long delay. I believe I stated somewhere I'd have an update soon and start including a Steam Workshop option...

I got bogged down with a few issues, and cleaning up configs and file-paths. I'm also almost done with a New Tactical Ops Center that will be all vanila and jammed packed with detail. I added more spawn options, fixed the Radio for all (hopefully) screen resolutions, added a few more Radio options, added a CIA SOG dude, tweaked weapons config, fixed some config errors, etc.

I'm hoping to finish the updates soon, and hopefully will be uploading to Steam soon. Thanks guys. Over & Out.
