  1. the @basix_admin folder has to be added as a clientside mod to function, not on the server.

    Did this solve the problem or is it something else?

    Thanks sorted, after realising I had to activate it in my expansions.

    I am superadmin - only show simple menu for kick/tempban/ban - is that all that it covers now, unlike original that had heal/cargod/markers etc.... or am I missing something.

  2. Enjoying this (these) missions however a couple of problems.

    1. Helicopters tend to respawn (disappear from where you locate) back to base, very annoying when task completed and no vehicle/heli left to transport.

    2. Some tasks complete as soon as you get near them rather than when you have destroyed. ie ambush convoy - get to marker hunt around miles away form convey and as soon as one player is near it task says completed. Need to set it where you first destroy vehicles and enmy around it.

    3. Virtual ammo boxes so not have much selection (altered my version) as well as selection not being available on respawn (annoying you have to reselect all the time)


  3. Why does the soldier take forever to regain breath and then when he does he still moans and groans when you move slightly. Why is the soldier unfit? Takes like 10 steps and sounds like he wants to die.

    Why is there so much weapon sway when aiming? Stand or crouched it is very hard to aim and kill target.

    Why have the weapons become hard to use to kill AI?

    Why are AI now impossible to kill - mission setting function has skill level 0.1-0.3 and they are invincible.

    I don't usually moan about games but this version is starting to get annoying and to a stage where I can't be bothered playing it. Why do so many mods have to be made and used to make gameplay far better?


  4. No onslaught (hehe), but does your specs have anything in common with our OP?

    Specs: Pentium 3, windows xp, 40gb hdd. (REALLY)

    My specs are not similar to OP (i7,12gb ram, 2xhd7970 gpu, ssd) except win 7 64bit: <-------- Maybe this is the problem

    Actually the only time the fps got better was the 2nd to last update. As I said earlier there are a lot of players with top end pc's having the same problem.

    It was really meant as a CO-OP experince rather than SP. But I playtested it on my own to the end several times.

    You should be using VAS to help you out. i.e. create a number for loadouts particular situations. i.e. AT Sniper Grenade launcher etc..

    I've had a couple of comments on playing SP being hard. I suppose I could make it easier if I gave your AI team makes better loadouts. And adding a save game feature is not a problem.

    Let me know what you think.

    Played in coop - the ai attacking are as per usual too accurate, shit they even shoot thru the building walls. Once they get to the base and you respawn you are dead again. Mission idea itself is good.


  6. I love these posts, thought it was time to make a reply - one has an issue that many others have but everyone jumps in and say that the computer and/or user is at fault.

    I have the same issue along with other members in our clan: The fps for the game after patch has dropped. No settings changed, no adjustments. JUST THE UPDATE and run the game. 20-30 FPS drop after update.

    You shouldn't have to readjust your pc everytime an update happens. All of a sudden it is now your pc failing, posts saying defrag, bad ram, corrupt drivers, failing mobo etc.... WHAT BS! Why is this the only game that one has to readjust their entire pc to play properly! Especially when some of the systems being used are top end.

    One post believes no one get higher than 30fps in multiplayer. What bs, I and others were getting 45-60fps in multiplayer mission we run. (and that was with 10 players in), then they go on to say check pc temperatures and memory etc... WHY WOULD AN UPDATE START TO F YOUR SYSTEM? Why would this update revert your bios etc backward?

    The dev need to make sure the game updates work properly on systems before they release. I have even seen a post(s) where in DEV form the performance drops.

    Ah well, there's my 2 cents worth - ready for the onslaught.


  7. How would I have an AI plane fly over to selected mark? Want to select position on map. The BI support request makes u aim gun for location. I want to select map, pin point mark and then airplane will fly in. Have searched but found nothing really suitable for arma3. (I am a novice for how scripts and functions work).

    If I have F18 in mission and set to fly it will fly about 20m then bank and crash.


  8. Good update, mission runs well with one exception. Went to resue pilot in CSAR, found him and got rescue from menu, next thing him moulds himself into wall.

    Mission FAIL!

    The pilot was outside the building at the time. I selected rescue and he flew into the wall. Maybe have him placed to near buildings.

    This was using the new version. Some nice extra features in that. Framerate drops when having stormy weather but otherwise runs smooth. Liked the enemy OP as they surprised us when we were attacking the main target.

    Look forward to more and more missions being added. ie blow up radio tower etc... as said before we are enjoying the smoothness this mission offers and it is not overloaded.

    One other thing we noticed prior to latest version is enemy ifrit or vehicle randomly floats/nose dives forward and spins 360degrees (rolls). Probably something on BI end. Quite funny at time, looked like a lunatic driving.


  9. - This is a compromise at the moment. Idea is to get FA18 to certain stage we all are happy, get SU35 out and add an Xmas bonus. Only then if our small team will have time we will look in all these upgrades. I hope that BI by that time will upgrade some features within game engine as well.

    What you have done so far is impressive and pretty much covering what the plane should do. You and your small team - big pat on back(s). Look forward to xmas bonus.

    Searching I found a reference to onbuttonclick and wonder if that would work.

    I have set to a player init: this addAction ["abcde", initiate.sqf"]; which allows me to select from scroll wheel use onscreen menu, can I set it to a button? Would I use onButtonClick= and if so what code for button is inserted.

  11. How would I use this mod on my dedicated server?

    To add mod to your mission setup on server end as per usual with @folder etc.... activate in you start command line -mos=@folder, use in editor (make sure on your client end as well) and set planes up.

    add planes, add hemitt, add targets, go and bomb targets, return to base and rearm and start all over.

    Also nice TOPGUN mission out there where you dogfight against buzzards.

    The Iranian mod (ArmA2 -> [url']http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?97511-Iranian-Forces-Mod[/url] ) could be ported over to A3, but I guess its developers didn´t like BIS vilanizing them as CSAT =P

    F14's directly into arma3 work fine - only modification I see is weapons tweaks, display and fact it hit the lines on carrier and stop/explodes. Apart from that the fly fast, sound good etc... (NO AIA Needed)

    Back to the F18, the new control keys for tailhook and afterburner are great.

    The F14 tomcat and supertomcat work in arma3 but need tweaking. Maybe John and Saul could get permission from F14 bloke and add weapons functions and tweaks that they have made available on their F18.

    Buzzard - that feels and looks like a dinosaur.
