Chris.. I also have the Saitek X52 joystick and throttle but found out that if you don't have rudder pedals it's hard to fly.... The twist stick is better than nothing but you still need pedals... When you are close to the ground and pull up on the collective the torque produced has to have constant correction... It's almost impossible to do that without pedals since you are actively using the cyclic to control pitch and roll.. I added the Saitek Cessna pro flight pedals and it made a huge difference :-)

Does anyone know if there are cheats that would allow you to bypass the first person shooting stuff and just do the flying portions of career mode?? I made it through the first part and then got stuck after being shot down... I'm really only interested in flying and not the other stuff... :( Thanks, Dave
