Multi-Environment Ammunitions ( MEA ), supercavitating rounds
plutoto74 replied to plutoto74's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
@Fragmagnet Look at my ticket there's some videos to explain better, many applications. So now with the issue asking for switching type of ammunition out of water for Stanag isn't a good solution. MEA yes it's dual purpose but accurate out of water not like the 5.56 for SDAR. It's an actual tech so imagine that in 2035 it's can be better. Again look my post to understand, MEA rounds are very powerfull, more than ingame now! -
Multi-Environment Ammunitions ( MEA ), supercavitating rounds
plutoto74 posted a topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
A post was assigned to switch magazines for divers on land with Stanag, in fact in reality a new type of rounds for multi-environment exist. It was request cause of inacurassy of weapon out of water, but in real life it seems much more better. There's no reason to switch ammunitions in and out of water. I've posted a tread on this type of rounds http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=11677 -

SLX wasn't good for this "burned parts", it's not realistic with a "generic character". Take the 3D character, dismember it and apply Ragdoll on his parts (l legs, arms, hands, feet), it should be possible with the engine like they did with VBS2 2.0. A "generic burned character" to replace the original isn't the best choice. It's important to do it well to make the effect natuaral, and not just flying meat steack. -

Sure that we don't want gore for GORE, and no crazy players from arcade game to do nothing just to see injured characters. Has to be done with highers difficulty settings. But war without serious injuries isn't war. It's not real. -

Can find gore on net too, accessible! But in virtual world, a simulation of war, there's no reason to cut off gore. There's solutions for BIS to make a separate extend to put it ingame, with realistic medic system like ACE but more accurate, with a friendly interface, simple and accurate. Sure that to put gore is for realism so with an advanced medic system. I think has to be paid so more money for BIS, and an accurate system cause they know well their engine. Mods are good but BIS can do a better job, too much restriction in engine. Again it's virtual, silly guys can watch lot of mad things everywhere like games, movies, internet and real life! War isn't polish and those who don't want this, don't take it. Just a little more red pixels, a virtual character won't suffer from dismemberment, decapitation or burns. Real life will stay more horrible than a virtual world in a game. But those who don't want this try to lead the rest who want it and not the opposite, it's silly! I feel good in my head with virtual gore and I can understand who don't. Real war is far more horrible than we can put in a game! -
It's only a question for devs! I remember for OFP that T&L was adding after the release of the game, and severals enhancements of the engine too. Dynamic LOD can be done with heightmap and PN-Triangles Tesselation. It can be a plus for nearest details and reduce the number of triangles calculated far away in the field of view, with less clipping and a better performance. As it is now the heightmap cause problem for ground detail, with a sort of wave. With the tesselation we can have better details for near objets, characters, terrain and have less triangles to calculate by the GPU. This dynamic LOD works fine and with good performance. So do you think you can do it? ( only devs please for answers! ) http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=11576

Modders make a wonderful stuff, but for visual wounds SLX is not good at all, the best thing is to have it directly in the engine, to have realism, and no just gore... And less bugs. -

We are talking about visual wounds, and no nothing change really! -

No mod, it's need to be in the engine, and with PhysX now. This type of mod like SLX wasn't good in A2, it's why it's better to implement it like an add-on. -

You're true -Coulum-, but we are talking about a game from 12 years old! It's not blood for Blood, gore for Gore, it's for Realism to have a better Immersion. Ragdoll is good but wounds not. -

So play again OFP, when someone is shooted in the head visually is better than A3, and there's no engancement on bloody textures on soldiers... -
It's just a question for BIS. Time is passing, and lot of wishes for this game are awaiting form players ( feedback trackers ). So what do you want to release? Do you want to match with the most long-awaited features in issues?

plutoto74 replied to Michaelp800's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
A3 is the less bloody of the serie, although even OFP was better on that. So what's happen, A3 is more clean, war isn't, if a sim simulate badly things it's like more arcade, not to say that the whole game is. But now take America's Army on the medic system, it's not perfect but better than ARMA. A3 lack some features from the serie, so it's why I said that it's moving slighty to an arcade game, even if it's not totally; diving, freefall. Now there's no democraty here, a feature like an add-on that you pay is not the same as a feature in the main game, there's no prob for ban the lain game. The higher rathing is applied only if the add-on is applied. Those who don't want this feature have all the answers of the world to say STOP THERE'S NOTHING HERE! You have answers for everything but I find answers against what you say. A3 need to improve on this wounds and medic. And work and money for BIS... -

plutoto74 replied to Michaelp800's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Exactly what I said. At least we would pay for that, to have a really good system, and more money for BIS. There's no way with mods for that, need to be in the engine. Lot of players would pay for that. In the same way to enhance game PhysX, it's another tread, but demolition is not good actually... More realism! -

plutoto74 replied to Michaelp800's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
And sure if BIS wouldn't do it, I will never pay for DLC with news maps, armys, weapons or missions. And no ARMA 4 too if it's the same. Sure that I like ARMA since OFP for it's freedom, but I bought OFP because it was unique, and less good technically than others games. It was unique. With ARMA 3 the game becomes like the others in an open-world, but no enhancements in all ways, just graphically, and it's moving slightly to an arcade game... -

plutoto74 replied to Michaelp800's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
OK BIS maybe doesn't have time to do it, OK is choquing for many people, OK it's a question of rating and ethics with differents countries, BUT it's to make MONEY, I want and I'm sure I'm not alone, a DLC that I will PAY to have more REALISM, including a REALISTIC WOUNDING SYSTEM. http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=3002 http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=11078 BIS can work on it as an extra option, that we will PAY. So question of rating and ethics is done! It's a question of MONEY, and we will PAY for it. I bought supporter version of A3, but I'm lazy of the becoming of this game. So let us possibility to have it, BUT no mod, in the game as an extra. I play since OFP at ARMA's serie and there's no improvement for wounds. Like that everybody is happy! -

THE ULTIMATE MILITARY SIMULATION, it is a lying comment on ARMA 3 from BI? It's not just for visual, but strategy. If a soldier is incapacited, like it is now he's down and his squad continue the mission without to take care of him. But if he's incapacitated, a new mission is to defend him, before a medevac arrives. There's a new dimension for medics too, like it's now in MP, medics, not with serious guys but lot of time they're always away to have the better skill. Some ARCADE games have a better visual injuries, even if you say that it's not really a milsim, so don't say that it is one. It's a feature which can be set maybe by a DLC addon, and ACTIVATE by countrie for ethics. It wasn't possible before, but now... I don't understand what is the matter if players can set this feature, and depend on servers? I wish it will no stay longer as too polish, I know that's to stay open to a big public, but it's lazy to lock a improved system as an option. Lot of players play ARMA for it's REALISM, and I doubt that's the game slightly move to an ARCADE one. I know that VBS is for military, but can we wait for an extra? Not maybe so realistic but a bit better than it is actually. I play at ARMA serie since OFP, and there's no better thing since for wounding system. I love ARMA 3 but there's no possibilities to go further. Countries and ages can be check by the web, BI need to sell a lot, and wounds settings can be add ( see my issue http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=11078 ) I wait nothing just answers...
