  1. I have looked up both types of strange colours you said, it looks more like coloured rectangles, but ill try to see if i can get a pic of it. I will look at the options of decreasing the VRAM clocks. As for cooking, I am not sure if I want to do that but I will do it if I got no other options. I will also run the furmark burn test which orcinus mentioned. Edit: By the way, is there anything like TRIXX for nvidia graphics cards? I found something called the geforce experience but it doesn't work for me.
  2. Thanks for the reply, i have done the test and there didn't seem to be any problems with my RAM. I forgot to mention something which might be important, before i get a BSOD, my screen starts to get strange colours everywhere like I'm having a graphics error. Which makes me believe the problem might be something with my gpu.
  3. I have posted about this before but didnt get any replies back then so i will just ask for help again. I recently had a couple of bsod's while playing arma 2. The strange thing is, i can play a couple of days without any problems and sometimes i play a couple of days where i get BSOD's, freezes and ctd's. I had 2 different BSOD's with the error codes 0x00000008e and 0x000000050. I have looked it up on the internet too, and alot of times it turned out to be memory problems. I want to be sure its not the game or anything else before i do something. My specs: Nvidia geforce 9800 8gig RAM intel core 2 dual cpu 3ghz. The game runs good for me on around 55 fps when its not crashing, but when it crashes the game freezes and everything gets a very strange colour and after that i get the BSOD. I hope anyone here can help me with it.
  4. Hey, i recently decided to try out arma 2 on my pc at home, i had a little bit of fps issues but had to change some lines in the cfg file and after that i had a nice 50fps. I played the game for a long time without any problems. The next day i decided to play some arma 2 too and suddenly my game started freezing after 30 minutes of playing. I tried restarting my computer, i tried some other launch options to help with fps and other stuff, but my game kept freezing. When its not freezing its running well and theres barely any problems. Whenever the game freezes, i have to use task manager to close Arma 2 because nothing else works. I hope someone can help me out with this problem. Heres my specs: processor: AMD athlon II X2 250 processor 3.00 ghz RAM: 4gb Videocard: ATI radeon hd 4350 OS: Windows 7 64-bit Hope thats enough info considering the specs, if i need to post something more just say so.
  5. Hey guys, I'm having multiple problems with the game, ctds, freezing and even getting bsods sometimes while playing. Somtimes when I'm playing the game just shuts off to the desktop without an error message. I have tried to look it up but i couldnt find an solution so I decided to post here. I have also tried to update my drivers for my video card but the last time I did I couldnt start up my pc anymore, which left me to only 1 choice: to rollback the driver update. Also sometimes the game freezes for me which forces me to use ctrl-alt-delete or reboot the pc. It either happens after playing for an hour or after playing for less than 10 minutes. It only seems to happen when I'm playing regular arma 2 but when I'm playing Dayz it doesnt seem to happen as much. Specs: Processor: Intel core 2 duo cpu e8400 3.00ghz videocard: NVIDIA geforce 9800 gt
