  1. Is there a place where we can find changelogs on the dev builds? It's hard to know what to look for without this information. By the way, I see RPTs and dumps from Arma3 crashes on the tracker. The information on how to get these is not readily available on the forums. Could we get a sticky with pertinent information like this to help testers provide more useful information on the feedback tracker?
  2. Start a feedback post and I will up-vote it.
  3. I don't understand all this panic and fear everytime someone suggests that the game could be made more accessible. This is ignorance by definition. He's not talking about dumbing down the game to any extent. Why so fiercely defend a broken (but usable) design?
  4. We're in a new age where words have no meaning. It has been a sad decline in correct terminology usage since PC gaming has grown ten-fold over the years.
  5. Strangely, the Ka-60 in the showcase is a pig to fly. Throw it down in the editor and it's not nearly as bad. Placebo perhaps but I hate it. The littlebird-9 is wunderbar.

    Trying new control schemes

Honestly head-look is a nice feature and all but something I can get away with not using on foot entirely. It is really only useful in vehicles - especially aircraft. Any work I've done on the control scheme myself has been to consolidate it into as few keys as possible without losing any abilities.
  7. I just spent an hour and a half making a Pinnacle Game Profile. You can fit all useful and relevant infantry controls on a PS3 DualShock controller. Why are we still spanning the entire keyboard by default? If the in-game controls allowed me to assign the buttons as I wish, I wouldn't need the profiler and could assign the whole game to the gamepad except the mouse for use on the map and inventory unfortunately. Point is, the controls can be consolidated GREATLY. No matter what you're using.
  8. Don't expect full or even functional workshop integration. It isn't prepared to handle the likes of arma mods.
  9. 10T, I didn't even realize these existed. I guess I can stop looking at a whole new desktop build or new laptop (ick). My G74 may have a bit more life left yet. Can you go into more detail? What adapter, etc.

    Character run speed

I'd say the running speeds are closer to correct than the car driving speeds are. Why is it that as soon as my wheels touch dirt the car loses 20km/h? I feel like the dirt is made of tire attracting fly paper.

    I wish the Devs would....

    Oho, genius.

    Z-Fighting

I'm just trying to bring attention to this issue as no one else has reported it on the feedback tracker. If they did, they called it something else. http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=3666 Please see the attached picture. I will make a video if necessary. But is anyone else experiencing this or just me?

    [Feature Request] 180 degree turn

I don't see the need. Increase mouse speed. Kill enemies.

    How to remove auto-AIM ?

Why JW Custom? Wouldn't it be good information to know you're about to shoot your teammate in the head when you think you're going to shoot the guy behind him up the hill 400m?

    Rifle Collision Addon

So why isn't this in Vanilla already?

    How to remove auto-AIM ?

OHH!! Pfff.. So here's what's happening. When the muzzle of the weapon is pointed at something close, the crosshair moves there to show you this. This was a major annoyance in previous entries because you'd be aiming over a fence or rock, and not realize your muzzle was pointed at the fence or rock. This is just indicating where your muzzle is pointed.
  18. This kind of logic is what will prevent ArmA from becoming more accessible! In my early simming days I would get a game, look at the controls (IL2 Sturmovik, for example) and it was SO OVERWHELMING that I dare not undergo the task of reassigning the controls lest I risk becoming even more overwhelmed. Very few of us have toughed it out to remain here today - die hard sim fans. You won't lose any "core features" by consolidating controls to fewer keys in the default control scheme. You want to have 3 buttons that do the same exact thing, then YOU can reassign keys. I've lost all faith in humanity. How can you all be so daft. Flame me, I don't care - it means nothing coming from anyone who can not see logic.
  19. Up-voted. This should be one the few feature requests that actually gets picked up by BIS without a doubt. WOOHOO! It has been assigned to dazhbog!
  20. I'm going to say no. Sorry bud. I've only just found a good balance for my GTX560M that is between 45-60 fps a lot of the time.
  21. FOV It would be nice (and wise) to have a universal FOV slider. As is, this seems to be set per vehicle. Furthmore, per seat per vehicle! This is madness! It creates a broad spectrum of inconsistency that cannot be ignored any longer. Consistency is key. Please create a universal FOV while keeping maximum zoom and zoomout the same. Remove FOV values from vehicles except where appropriate (example: telescopic sights mounted on vehicles). Or, allow the universal FOV slider to overwrite values, with the exception previously mentioned. Redundant Controls A lot of controls are redundant. Currently, I can select an action with 3 (THREE!) default inputs: Space, enter and middle mouse button. Refining the default control scheme will allow new-comers to settle into the very different ArmA-verse much more easily. It could result in veterans also becoming more proficient in controlling the unit. There are many controls affected by this. Please reduce the redundancy in the default control scheme. Refining this would also result in more viable 360 controller support. This extends to vehicle just as the FOV does. It is apparent so far they intend to make a console release so this would help make the PC and Console versions on par with one another. Customization is Key The native support for 360 controllers is a welcome addition as many of us have these laying around. With the new vehicles and their sharp turn input, keyboard driving seems less viable. Allowing us to define the same key to various actions has been in since at least ArmA. Allowing us to redefine 360 controller input is probably going to happen no matter what but a reminder is all I am offering. Let's talk about graphics. The post processing options are very compounded and limiting. I can set Post Processing to various levels of quality, but that's it. This doesn't seem very "advanced" to me, considering it's in the advanced options. I couldn't even tell you what is included in Post Processing. I know on the highest setting I had a LOT of Bloom and motion blur. Why not offer more detailed customization in, not just graphics, but all options. With all the axis input being offered since OFP, why do we have no deadzone options? I feel like no one is getting this right. Some racing/flying/train/trucking/whatever sims offer it to some extent, others offer it at no extent! It's maddening. Set the standard, BIS, which all others follow should they risk looking inept.
  22. The final picture is way too hard to spot the soldier, but I like what you're on to here. Better than the current implementation.
  23. I can't say I like this specific scheme but I voted yes. BI needs to consolidate controls. It's very possible but we can only bug them to make it happen.
  24. Interesting. There are: 4 reported bugs that have been assigned. All to astaroth. 2 resolved. 0 marked as confirmed. 18 need more information. My thinking is that most of the bugs we're experiencing are probably already known by the developers OR the feedback tool isn't as important to them as they'd like us to think. Who knows. It just began and there's plenty of time to tell.

    TA2DST - ArmA 3

What setting did you use then? It doesn't work for me. I can host the normal way though.
