  1. VAC is merely absent from the Alpha build. It is currently not active

However, in the future this will change.

I can not speak for VAC banning TS users... but considering how popular Teamspeak is.... if it was a concern, you'd have to think that it would a heavily reported issue and likely one that would have been addressed in some fashion by now. The odd report of players supposedly getting banned because of the overlay could very likely be false.

But if you are really that concerned about it... it's not really a deal breaker to simply not use the overlay. IMO anyways.

No it wont, Dwarden said in the server admin chat, that there are no plans to implement vac instead of BE. All plans still points toward BE.

  2. It seems to bypass Steam and just directly launches the application hence the lack of "app already running" message preventing you from opening multiple instances.

This method has also been used in order to play games on Steam before their launch date in other territories, but thanks to Steam encrypting data this has been prevented.

    Seems to work fine.

For anyone that needs simplier instructions,

Create a steam_appid.txt file in your arma 3 root folder

Put 107410 in it, and hit save

Paste/or create a new server config for each new server you want to run

Create a new shortcut of ArmA3.exe for each server, and point it to the individual configs.

  3. ;2319922']New version available: https://dev-heaven.net/projects/push/files

Note: class change might be buggy :(

    Changes:

    • 32v32 supported (experimental) - one 64 players mission added
    • west attacking missions fixed :o - thanks to Alcaran :)
    • team markers work (at least for players present at game start; JIP still buggy)

    Incoming tomorrow:

    • team markers fully working
    • 32vs32 template
    • more missions

    @ mujina

Admin can change daytime' date=' weather etc.

Mission designer can set default daytime, weather etc.

There is also random setting for these.[/quote']

Hi Kju, i've got some clanmates asking whether its possible or not to disable showing enemies on the minimap when they fire, im not myself exactly sure how this "spotting" system work, is it possible that you can elaborate on this?

  4. ;2318574']Works for me in the editor. Does it for you?

From the editor you should be able to do "save to mpmissions".

Otherwise you can pack the mission folder with a pbopacker (eliteness' date=' makepbo, cpbo).

    Note:

    1) If you add more zones, you need to adjust settings/ZoneSetup.sqf.

It should be fairly easy to understand. Make sure to connect zones in both ways/to all your desired links.

Only synced are a bit different. The test mission has an example too though.

Be careful to not break the syntax (brackets, commas).

    2) Name your mission (briefingName in the mission.sqm, or use the editor interface - intel area).

It works fine when using 3rd party packer, rather then saving the mission in the ingame editor. Thanks!

Maybe there is a misunderstanding. It is not the ingame editor merge.

Instead you need to copy the files and folders from the test mission folder to your new mission folder.

Be careful not to overwrite your mission.sqm!

    @CombatComm

Best approach SBSMac and his pvp script pack.

That makes a lot more sense. For someone thats not a beast at the arma editor, it was confusing. Since the editor itself, comes with a "merge" option :P. Thanks for clearing this up.

EDIT: I've tried it again, and im still not getting the result i want. I must be doing more things wrong lol.

I've opened the mission that i edited, im done editing it, i move the config, settings, source, breafing etc etc to the missions folder(but not moved the mission.sqm) i then save my mission(export it to either mp or sp right?) the result, is still just a 24kb pbo, the size of the mission.sqm. With nothing working.

    Check point 11.

    @ BigMorgan

Is only the text at the start wrong or does it not work at all for you?

    Hello Kju,

I noticed this after i posted. And i did merge my edited mission, with the test mission folder. However, when doing this, all it did was add the "test mission" on top of my edited mission, which then showed a mission around the airfield, with the zones linked. My zones were still not linked, it was like it just dumped a mission on top of my mission. Any idea why this happens?

  7. Hello guys,

Has anyone managed to use the templates to make their own missions?. I've loaded a template up, edited it and exported it, but its only 30-40kb as opposed to the 700kb missions of the actual pack. The missions dont work at all, the zones aint connected, the custom UI and stuff ain't present either.

Anyone got any idea what ive done wrong ?
