Low CPU utilization & Low FPS

I'll never buy another Arma game again. I am completely done with this JUNK! I have not once had a chance to sit down and enjoy this game. The performance is just simply unplayable! No matter the settings I use I continue to run 20/30fps and CPU i7 2600k even @3.4ghz uses only 50% load This is shocking, how much this as been reported and not a single word to us or a fix!

Back to Arma 3 - Still poor performance?

Very good watch. What he is explaining is the same what I getting. Low cpu usage not enough to boost the GPUs. Guess I'll just call this game quits. Am not one for wanting to play on low settings, I don't care if it helps me to see better etc I want to play the game in its full potential, and because it's not even my hardware stopping me I give up. We all seen arma 2 still performance is bad on today's hardware.

You not the only one who played alpha. :p I also had shocking performance and reason for me not playing it. Reason for title back to area 3 :D

Back to Arma 3 - Still poor performance?

@DreadedEntity 2600k is still a very powerful cpu, it even keeps up very well with ivy bridge and Haswell. It's only 2011 that really run the show. My total cpu usage would show am far from maxing out my i7. Already un-parked cores even though windows 8 don't Park cpu cores like windows 7. I would be happy turning down some settings am not fussed. But switching off aa and 8x shown me zero fps change. Just look at ultra vs low something isn't quite right. I don't play arma for its competitive play I want to just enjoy it and have all the fancy settings up. They is no excuse a system like mine to not run this game on max settings and still get enjoyable fps.

It is using it though. Look at the screenshots and see second Hwinfo image. 2nd GPU runs at its 977/1250 Am putting the blame on the CPU not getting used enough to push the frame rate. 55% seems to low

I get same FPS with and without Crossfire.

Here some screenshots guys, going from Auto detect settings Mostly Ultra to low am only gaining like 30fps.. My CPU total usage this time was only 55% this seems very low to me for a game of this scale. The GPUs being 100% is a good thing, it shows the games is using them. What I dont understand is my CPU usage is very low, compared to other games. Now if CPU was 100% I would have a bottleneck but my CPU total usage is only 64% CSGO and BF4 have higher usage then this, so something isn't right. Just playing the training missions and frame rate is hanging around 30's

Thanks for reply. For me am getting same FPS in both BP and the SP of ARMA 3 I have 250GB SSD for Windows and some game, but ARMA 3 is installed onto my 2TB 7200rpm drive. The Launcher settings I just got from online, I see people showing how they boost there performance. Internet atm is 7mb down and 1mb up "Fibre next week"

Right where do I begin with your Dumb brain? Games and Movies are two completely different things.. One is interactive and the other isn't so Viewing 24fps or 30fps or 60fps is different when you interact with the frame rate. Movies use motion blur to hind the low effect and blur the frames together to keep the image looking smooth. A game is different were each frame is draw at a single time, this is why you can screenshot perfect images each time. The faster the refresh rate the smoother the image on screen becomes, its this what we see as motion. Think of a cartoon drawing the faster you flick the pages the smoother the motion becomes. So next time you go replying back and making yourself look dumb have some proof to back up your crap talk. Here some science to the proof. http://amo.net/NT/02-21-01FPS.html

Kill myself over a game??? you ok in the head? The game is unplayable when you moving about in low 30's or 20's its not enjoyable at all. Am very sensitive to low FPS reason I run 2 high end GPUs and a 120hz display is to enjoy PC gaming at higher frame rate. This game is a bloody mess, and it dont even look that great for the performance hit it bring. What as this world and gaming forums come to? people asking to Kill yourself because you post on a forum? fuck me Edit Reported

Its on both mate, same FPS on either.
  13. EDIT See post 17 http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?182683-Back-to-Arma-3-Still-poor-performance&p=2767004&viewfull=1#post2767004 How do you guys play this game? last time I played it was in the Alpha.. So since BreakingPoint is doing very well I thought I would give Arma 3 ago again. My system is i7 2600k @stock, even OC to 4.4 see no boost. 2x 290's disable or enable crossfire = same FPS ??? 16GB DDR3 1600mhz Now if I auto select the video settings game will put everything at ultra or max this gives me in SP and BP 20-50fps mostly in 30's surely this is very bad? I cant play it. So I try and change settings to lower things and I still cant get any big enough fps increase? Both GPU's run at 100% usage and my total CPU usage is only 64% Its here where I think my problem is, am sure my CPU total usage should be much higher. Any ideas guys? I have even setup some launcher options like -nosplash -nologs -exThreads= -maxMem=8192 -cpuCount=8

    Crossfire??

using Driver 13.8 beta, my other card just doesn't work under Arma 3 Some times it will start of working, then ingame will stutter and the crossfire will be off.
