  1. Sable, apparently your PM inbox is full so I can't send another. I uninstalled AVG, make space in your inbox and I can provide the new VPN info. ---------- Post added at 00:43 ---------- Previous post was at 00:05 ---------- Welp, apparently it was AVG all along... anyone else with issues, make sure you COMPLETELY uninstall AVG and use the latest version of BattlEye, uninstalling didn't solve the issue with ArmA 2 initially, but for some reason it worked today, with A2 and A3.
  2. My specs are: AMD HD 5870, 12 GB DDR2 ~1450, i7-930 @ 3.8 GHz I have four hard drives, but my ArmA 2 and 3 installations and all of my mods are on my SSD. The other three are disk drives; two internal, one external. My CPU/GPU are not overheating, temps on CPU rarely exceed 60 C under load, and 80-85 for my GPU. I did edit my pagefile down to 6 GB rather than the default 12, though as you can imagine I don't even approach 12 GB memory usage with ArmA and various other programs. This issue has persisted across various network configurations and households, so I doubt it's network related. I have no knowledge of any rogue programs running on my PC. Clearing the temp file cache does nothing. Turning off windows firewall was addressed in one of the threads I posted earlier, and though I claimed it solved the problem, turns out I was just playing on server(s) listed as using BattlEye that actually did not use it. I'll try out your final three suggestions and report back. Tell me if any diagnostics/scans etc. would be helpful. Thanks.
  3. Yes, I have reported my issues, and for a time I even thought I solved the problem; it turned out I was playing on a server listed as using BE that was not actually using it. I've never been banned, and it goes without saying that I do not hack or use any tampering software. I have uninstalled BE and even deleted the service before reinstallation. I know for a fact that others also experience this issue: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?146510-Multiplayer-lag-spike-every-7-seconds/ http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?145135-Battleye-causing-multiplayer-lag I would characterize the problem not as network latency but as severe framerate stutter. Framerate will grind to a halt, then return to normal for a split second, then halt again. This issue only occurs on BE-enabled servers.
  4. This happened with ArmA 2 as well. On any BE-enabled server, my framerate descends to slideshow-level speeds. And as with ArmA 2, absolutely nothing fixes it. Reinstalling BE does nothing. I gave up playing ArmA 2 simply because BE breaks my game. I prayed that BE would not introduce the same ridiculous performance hit to ArmA 3. But it did, and now I fear I won't be able to play the game anymore. It's startling to me how this problem has still not been fixed, even over one year and a new game. I've spent over $100 on Bohemia products and I can't play ANY of them due to BE. If this post seems dramatic, I agree. I'm kind of resigned to this, as I'm exhausted from looking for answers for months and having no success fixing it. Now that it has carried over to ArmA 3, maybe it'll get more attention.

    Battleye causing multiplayer lag

I should mention that the problem returned and there is now no way to fix it. And with ArmA 3 implementing BE, I'm getting the same problem but worse. A3 is completely unplayable; my framerate has ground to a halt. This is ridiculous. Does no one else have this issue?
  6. That is for Arma 3 and not related to BattlEye, not to mention I'm already using an SSD.
  7. Weird, did you try redoing the steps I outlined? My Arma hasn't stuttered since.
  8. You're welcome :D Too many people have this problem, and I'm surprised I found the solution for it.
  9. Okay, I finally, officially solved this problem by doing the following: - in command prompt, type - uninstall/delete any instance of BattlEye in Programs and Features in Control Panel, and delete BE from Arma 2 + Arma 2 OA folders - download and install BEclient.dll and BEserver.dll into the appropriate folders (BattlEye in Arma 2 root folder, Expansion\BattlEye in Arma 2 OA root folder) I believe the first step is what solved the problem, but trying the other things I did can't hurt. I no longer encounter stutter on any BattlEye-enabled server.
  10. Yeah, you're right... the server was advertised as using BE, but upon further inspection BE was not actually working properly on it. Yes, I and many others have been suffering from this issue. I actually just bought Arma 2 vanilla (originally only had Arma 2 AO) in desperation on the offchance that it might fix the problem. Now I have two unplayable games; I can't even play Domination on vanilla Arma 2. :( Please find a solution to this, I've done virtually everything and the game is still unplayable.
  11. Disable Windows Firewall, or any other firewall that you may have. If this solves your problem, create an exception for BattlEye/Arma in said firewall.
  12. I found the problem. Windows Firewall was conflicting with BattlEye. It is likely that any other firewall would do the same, but since Windows Firewall is built into Windows 7 it is likely that many people are suffering from this issue due to WF in particular. I have not yet tried to create an exception in WF, but disabling it did fix the stuttering.
  13. Confirmed, I had this issue and disabling Windows Firewall fixed the stuttering.

I have been looking for a solution to this for ages, and I finally fixed it. Disable Windows Firewall, or create an exception for BattlEye in it (haven't tried this part yet, but Windows Firewall was definitely the source of my problem).
