    APPCRASH 00821fc2

Thank you for that Tip Hammer, i just created a Firewall "allow all" rule for Arma3.exe. I told my norton 360 now in every setting & exceptionlist i could find to ignore Arma3.exe. After that i let steam check my file integrity and 4 files didnt pass. strange, but possibly came when i moved arma 3 to a ramdisk.

    Server Browsing.

as far i can see, the browser is almost the same as in A2. and its crap. seriously. i know there are some bug-reports open to it, please take care of that BI. at least fix the basics, like working filter (e.g. when i set _any_ ping filter, i cant see any more server. zero. same goes for player count). we can understand that you use external technology (e.g. gamespy) for that task, but please make it work at least.

    APPCRASH 00821fc2

a little possibility: i just installed a windows 7 "platform update", since then i only played one round (1,5h) but didnt crash so far. i remember to have rolled back that platform update, because it issued texture errors (yellow coloring) in BF3. maybe someone else with that CTD can try to look/check for that platform update and see if that CTD vanishes. you can find the download for the windows update here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2670838 Update: Had a crash again, so Platform Update and disabling Steam Overlay didnt bring anything.
  5. Hello Folks, i know a lot people have the same appcrash. i noticed one CTD i get often (almost every MP game, just a matter of time): Problemsignatur: Problemereignisname: APPCRASH Anwendungsname: arma3.exe Anwendungsversion: 0.5.102.571 Anwendungszeitstempel: 512deb6a Fehlermodulname: arma3.exe Fehlermodulversion: 0.5.102.571 Fehlermodulzeitstempel: 512deb6a Ausnahmecode: c0000005 Ausnahmeoffset: 00821fc2 Betriebsystemversion: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48 Gebietsschema-ID: 1031 Zusatzinformation 1: 0a9e Zusatzinformation 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Zusatzinformation 3: 0a9e Zusatzinformation 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Problemsignatur: Problemereignisname: APPCRASH Anwendungsname: arma3.exe Anwendungsversion: 0.5.102.571 Anwendungszeitstempel: 512deb6a Fehlermodulname: arma3.exe Fehlermodulversion: 0.5.102.571 Fehlermodulzeitstempel: 512deb6a Ausnahmecode: c0000005 Ausnahmeoffset: 00821fc2 Betriebsystemversion: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48 Gebietsschema-ID: 1031 Zusatzinformation 1: 0a9e Zusatzinformation 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Zusatzinformation 3: 0a9e Zusatzinformation 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 its always the same 512deb6a, c0000005, 00821fc2, 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789. this is the only ctd/bug i have left whilst gaming. i know there´s another CTD happening when you try to join/load a MP game (Punkbuster related?), but im talking here of the ctd whilst gaming. and i got rid of the physX CTD, stated in another thread. i get it when walking, flying, driving, getting in cover, in a firefight... whenever you´r on action and nothin special else happens. kind regards, al

How to install ArmA 3 on a RAMDisk

the loading times are (well, what you would expect) almost no more existant. very nice. good whilst all that bug hunting and CTDing.
  7. I have the latest Beta running here aswell, still getting that crashes. Couldnt explain myself why GFX Driver should fix BE issues tho.
  8. Thank you for that vital Information. We´re going on that CTDs pretty nice.
  9. For your Crash Type #3, this here helped me: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?147930-CUDA-Setting-solves-a-few-CTDs-and-improves-Performance&p=2316913#post2316913
  10. Hi there Folks, i just wanted to discuss a thing i tried on my CTD hunt. I noticed some of my CTD end up with a error message mentioning the physX.dll, so i went to the nvidia control panel and set the CUDA Setting for arma3.exe on no GPU (see file below): i.imgur.com/lfdMOPr.png With that Setting i didnt get any CTDs related to physX.dll anymore and my game performance improved quite a bit (not counting frames here). My Box looks like the following: win7 prof. 64b intel 2600k @3,8GHz 16GB DDR RAM Asus ENGTX 560ti 448 DCII 1,28GB GDDR5 VRAM (latest Nvidia Beta Driver). Asus Maximus IV Mainboard Revodrive 1 120GB SSD Friendly Greating from Germany, alroar
