Please Help Missing firing sound of players gun

Please help, the sound of the players gun going off is missing, but only the players i can hear other sounds just not my own i don't understand what could be causing this. it happened out of the blue. Computer specs. Intel Core i7 3770K @4.6 Gh Asus P8-Z77 v Deluxe AMD ATI HD 7770 XFX Black Edtion G-Skill 16G of RAM at 1866 Mh Thank you
