    Task Force Blackjack complaints / issues

    So here i am again collecting data and feeding it up the list i hope this helps some as there are issues that have been repeated and confirmed by multiple members and i quote "It is too easy to die by walking too close to a burning wrecked vehicle-- certainly not anywhere close to how it works in Arma 2. I walked by a burning vehicle, probably 6 to 8 feet away, and died instantly... no bleeding or anything. Superman mode on ATV where it looks like you lay straight out on the ATV or sometimes even standing on it instead. (this is the same kind of bug as other vics) This may be my video card but the shadows look very low-res even at max settings. Most of the larger rocks can be entered like they are missing clipping and can be fired through much like an above post about the wreckage on the map. I have tested this and the AH-6J can be at full throttle up against the center of the ceiling of a hanger without any damage risk... l Sometimes I was getting stuck underwater while swimming as both a diver and other types of units. The boats are so unstable that the guns on them are for "shock and awe" and look impressive, but you can't hit anything. The boats won't stear at speed (they try to flip), and take about 2km to slow down from full speed. If you try to change grenade types, or reload while on a Littlebird, you end up on the ground seated as if you were still on the chopper. You can't move or get up. As a civilian in commoner clothes - I can place 2 x Grenades in my pockets, but no Magazines of weapons, even if I have empty pockets (no grenades) Figured out another wierd thing. The AH-6J has a pair of rocket pods and a pair of M134 guns. The fire rate on the M134s seems to be about 20rds/second with both guns firing. A single M134 has a 2000 or 4000 rnd/min rate, or 33/67 rounds per second. So that means the Littlebird should be shooting 67 or 133 rounds per second (not 20). This may be an intentional game balancing thing, but it's still anoying as the guns should be a LOT more effective than they are. I've done gun runs against vehicles, choppers and boats with the M134s and seen tons of "flash" from hits, but the bullets don't seem to have any effect (even on tires, etc.). Only way I've been able to take any sort of vehicle is with the FFARs. I have been able to take out infantry with the M134s, but it takes a LOT of bullets to do it, I think mostly because of the slow firing rate. The mx sw - the light machine gun that uses 100 round magazines - is forced into semi-auto when a suppressor is added. b\c it is a light machine gun you cannot change fire rate with\without the suppressor. The mx sw also has more recoil laying prone with a bipod than a mx without a bipod using the same magazine. When the mx gl has a suppressor attached, the gl makes a suppressed sound when fired. When a server is on veteren, names of people talking on side and global do not appear. Server lobbies use 100% of my graphics card while the game will only use 50%, as compared to bf3 where 10% of my card is used in lobbies and 100% in game. It is possible to vault into a one of the large metal container and become stuck. sometimes a user - or more often an ai's - weapon will not be registered on the server. e.i. They will shoot with no indication on your end besides the bullet impacts. A way to know if this is happening is if the person says they are carrying a weapon and you see a different one in their hands. ask them if they are going to create a separate input control for fixed wing aircraft than helicopters? This will be great if they do as we can map heli and fixed wing controls separately. due to either lag issues or other ( not sure ) some players get a session lost saying that core files are not signed properly" again as i said before i hope this helps to iron out all bugs or issues users may run into during game play to make this a great sim as it is developing thank you bis for all your hard work and great effort we applaud you [=TFB=]

    Ok i am guessing with the new update that most of my issue has been fixed i think it was a latenacy issue fro the most part would only happen on a close to full server still watching to make sure

    Ok new note onto this topic after a few hours of playing and everything going fine i tried again today and i am getting the same issue first with new files and then with files that i had already replaced so i am thinking that it isnt with my files and has to be a connection issue although i have a ping of 31 with the server that i am tring to connect to so i cant see it being a lag issue the server ( obviously has signatures turned on and is still making me disconnect and help will be most appreciated please

    no my only suggestion to resolve this issue is too get a friend or a another player to monitor what error is created and then get copy of the working files from them best to replace the bisign and the pbo with working copies from whom ever got them

    Ok i have got a fix for my issue i had a team mate give me the air_f.pbo and the bisign for it through file transfer replaced the ones i have and it seems to be working fine as of now i will report if there are any other issues but as of now it is good i will although contact steam to see if the files i am getting from them can be replaced so i will not have to get files from other people to make my game work thanks for all the assistance

    upon further review the most common file causing the issue is wrong signature file for air_f.pbo so if anyone knows what this could be would be most helpfull for and suggestions

    Yes prior doing an re installs i have tried doing this also tried after and it seem to be different core files each time saying bad sig. als o made sure all file folders and sub folders were not read only so if changes needed to be made by steam they would go through ..... oh yes i also made sure that arma 3 exe is running with admin privileges and yet none of this has helped PS. also any help that does work i will post which did so that others with this issue will know what worked .... thanks again

On my Team Servers When slots close to full i connect and after some time ( varies ) i get a pop up box session lost while the rest of my team still plays i reconnect several times and still get same issue people in game tell me ( also varies ) *_f files have bad signatures right when i am disconnected have reinstalled game also reinstalled steam running without any mods and removed and let fresh start rewrite all files in user\appdata\arma3alpha and still having same problem please let me know what to do for i know people that have the game through non payed methods and they are not experiencing said issues so how if i paid for full game and all future content am i getting this problem is there anything i need to check or do to fix thank you for any help possible PS when i say varies in time i mean sometime it happens when choosing character or sometimes while already in match

Once again hello to all members of development team of Arma 3 I am part of a team of players running the arma 3 alpha and i have a list of various concerns and issues from my team mates you may want to know of during development of this game they are as follows : -Runway Numbers properly aligned with the compass...I.E., Compass approach 154 degrees would be runway 15 (one five) and Compass approach of 288 degrees would be runway 29 (two niner). Example, the main runway on Stratus north is 02 (Zero Two) which is about correct, however, the south runway is 26 (Two Six), about 60 degrees off of what it should be (020 degrees + 180 Degrees is 200 degrees or runway 20 (Two Zero). -No Aircraft Controls are available yet, but if they release separate menus on Heli and Fixed Wing...we can program our throttles for Pull-Back Collective and Push-It-Up Thrust. -Helicopters with retractable gear either don't work or haven't been assigned a mapping key in the menu yet. This might be pre-progress of development still. -Helicopters roll-on/slide on landing isn't realistic...all landings go immediately to a "Stick" and causes damage/death or stop the heli sharply. -Ifrit seat swap, driver to passenger, puts the player model sticking outside the roof of vehicle. -one of the passenger slots in the rubber inflatable rafts shows character model siting up high and unnatural. When your in a jog and your weapon is down, if you click the right mouse to bring up your scope the camera will do a quick zoom and the character will go into an auto jog. Only way of stopping this is switching weapons. in the editor, 1. if I switch to take control of an AI unit, my in-game sound goes out. you can't shoot 203 rounds through small and light tree branches and leaves without them detonating. Bridges should be destructible the ammo boxes cause extreme client lock up. Mortar rounds are over powered in terms of splash damage. Server issues such as the constant crash. If you place a trigger and set the activation to anybody, the trigger will set off randomly even though nobody is near the trigger. ( you can use Player setdamage 1; in the on act and place the trigger away from the player to recreate this) - you can glitch through ruble that is apart of the map by crouching and walking through it. You can also shoot out from it. (This was found in Agia Marina in the wash, ID's are: 66480, 67984, and 67634) Pressing X doesn't flip the mortar tubes over. Some tree's will stop the hunter dead when hit even though in reality you would knock it over (What is this, arma2?) DIsableAI=1 does not work in Init.sqf when you get in a vic looks like your sleeping when you in a boat looks like your lying down profile saves as caps not lowercase Got knocked over by a little bird's skid to my face. Then my guy sat down, and i could not get up. I was disembarking from a RHIB, and my character just went ragdoll. All the way to the sea bed, it would be nice if there were a stance indicator stock with the game.     Collision Issues

    while playing Arma 3 i was driving through Agia Marina i was driving a offroad over the west bridge crossing and when coming off the bridge @0287-0604 was close to edge and as i came off bridge my tires fell into/under the map at this area ..... more to come as i find it
