  1. Press U for admin GUI and the menu is one of the unlabelled buttons on the bottom left. You can only skip missions or give pilot rights etc if you first login as admin using the "#login <rconpassword>" command in chat.

  3. No, the crash happens every time, less than a minute after we engage the enemy. I removed all mods except ASM and it still happens. As you pointed out, HC doesnt offload with AAF and CSAT. I have yet to get any mission working with a headless client but this is the closest I've come. perhaps someone with a bit more experience could help? I can't see anything out of the ordinary in the rpt files.Here's my Headless launcher: ...arma3.exe -connect=127.0.0.1 -port=2362 -client -nosound -profile=profiles -name=Headlessclient I added battleyeLicense=1; to the Headlessclient.Arma3Profile I launch the mission, login as admin and move him to the civilian slot - I have noticed that this doesnt work the first time (headless client appears as a player ingame) and have to run the reassign command and do it again. After this, the headlessclient starts doing it's job spawning AI but only on the NATO mission. After we engage the AI...(or perhaps when a certain number are spawned?), the server crashes edit: I tried again, this time getting HC to join after the mission had started so I didnt assign him a slot. I had the same problem though, HC spawns AI but the server crashes
  4. [/color] I'm getting the same symptoms. Graphing in ASM shows no remote AI (AIR) for AAF and CSAT but AIR do get spawned on the NATO version. Unfortunately the mission crashed not long after we engaged the AI. I used -name=Headlessclient in the launch parameters of the headless client to match the rabbit init

    did you try the -nologs launch parameter? Also, I used the DPC latency checker a few years ago to find out that a dodgy bundled motherboard utility was causing problems. The page here says that latencymon is better: http://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/solving-dpc-latency-issues/ edit: dpc latency checker doesnt give accurate results with windoews 8 apparently but latencymon is supposed to work

    running the game with -nologs in the launch parameters should help if you havent done it already especially if you don't have an ssd. Also, the video autodetect settings are usually about as good as you'll get so don't change them (although I turn off most AA & PP settings after running autodetect to help seeing enemies a bit more clearly). Arma is weird in that low settings are not always the best setting to use

    run game as administrator? Also try forcing arma to recreate your player profile. You can do this by renaming the "...Documents/Arma 3" and "...Documents/Arma 3 - Other Profiles" folders. run verify game cache again and then start the game. If it breaks something else then rename the folders back to what they were beforehand

    The references to alive suggest you were tring to join a server that required addons. Try again but this time in the browser click the "Filter" button then "default" and set expansions to "Hide". That will only show servers that dont have any mods or addons running. Post the rpt file after trying to connect to one of those servers. Remember to default your filters if you ever need to join a server with addons in the future Verify integrity is a handy steam feature. Open steam, select library, right-click on arma 3 and select properties-->select the "local files" tab and click "verify integrity of game cache" to force steam to check if all your game files are correct or missing/corrupted
  9. Was this a false positive? Can I safely unban the 20 odd people that were kicked from our server around 20:30 UTC?
  10. Just check your server's Battleye folder for a Bans.txt file (or if you use a profile folder then check the Battleye folder there). You can then delete the Gamehack #76 bans from the file. Unfortunately they are not time-stamped so you should cross check them off your server .log file (search for "gamehack #76") and if they occured around 20:30 UTC on 23/02 then you should unban them. Another way to see these bans is to use EPM rcon tool and select Options-->Get Bans and then open the Bans tab. You can unban people from there too ps there's no such thing as a stupid question :)
  11. Is there a way to get this to connect automatically to a server or even multiple servers through commandline/batch file etc? Also having problems with the TS notifications, I got one notify admin to work when I first configured it but after that all I get now are notifications when I kick/ban someone. We use a TS query login for a battlefield 4 admin plugin too so maybe they are conflicting, just wondering if anyone else had the same problem. one other question, the admin notifier cooldown default is 15, is this 15 seconds or minutes? Another suggestion: When viewing the banlist it would be great if the timestamp was present too. there were a number of false positive bans by BE yesterday but I had to manually check each one off the logs to make sure that I was not unbanning someone who was legitimately banned previously.     Some of the download options are multi-part rar files so you only need to unpack one of them and winrar will automatically unpack all three as long as they are in the same folder

    Looks like you're entering desperation territory so just some ideas: Havent touched this myself and don't know if it's involved: https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Dedicated_Server#Arma3.cfg Also, maybe try temporarily uninstalling QoS Packet Scheduler and all those other optional items from your LAN connection (be careful doing this or you could lose remote access!). Make sure Antivirus isnt interfering. Check the SMART status of your hard drive (Hetzner have a tool for SMART tests) and run a performance test on it to check read/write speeds

    Probably a stupid question but is there a way to change the default position of the unit skill slider so you don't have to adjust it every time?
  20. try verifySignatures=0; in server.cfg to see if it is a signing problem - this bypasses the keys folder on the server so it's not a secure/permanent solution. You could also try running the original working mission with those addons added to the startup parameters to see if it is a problem with the mission edits you made. Check the dependencies for the mods too, perhaps you need CBA_A3 or something

    ARMA 3 Wasteland Chernarus Server

    Only found out about this, perhaps if chernaurus was a smaller download then it would have been more popular but I've read that it's the arma 2 assets that make the download so big, not the map itself. Was this based on a3wasteland? and would it be possible for us to try out the mission on our server please?

    Some of the guys on our server claim that the mobile spawn truck disappears if it is left in a building. Anyone else experience that? I'm still none the wiser as to how to know if the HC is working. When I enable it in the mission parameters some of the AO markers do not appear on the map but if I don't enable it, it still connects okay but I don't know if it is doing anything...are there entries in a logfile that I can check?. We had our server up for 78 hours before we decided to restart it, good times had by all. Just a few niggles: The AI sometimes spawned inside rocks so even a UAV couldnt spot them. Medkits disappear from Medics after a respawn I like the sangonisi mission as it requires a change of tactics (especially if you try to do it without mortars). With scuba gear you can make it out there in no time. A bigger punishment for killing civilians with mortars might make people chose their shots a bit more wisely and leave more AI for the rest of us :)

    Great mission, thanks for your hard work. I have a question for LKincheloe: someone mentioned in this thread that they could save the mission state and continue the next day. How is this done? Question for the community: I'm having a problem getting the Headless Client to work with this (v B.58) on our dedicated server. Can anyone help me please? The Server and HC client are being launched from the same physical server. I've tried different methods and I'm using ASM to determine if HC is working by seeing if the HC FPS and CPS drops when AI are added. I had to create a key for ASM to allow the HC client to connect with ASM enabled Test 1: Launch Server, enable HC slot in parameters then launch HC and admin reassign it into the HC slot on Opfor. This results in AO markers not appearing on the map. Test 2: Launch Server, disable HC slot in parameters then launch HC and admin reassign it into the HC slot on Opfor. This results in AO markers appearing but no apparent usage of the HC. I'm new to using HC so perhaps someone can let me know the exact steps to get HC working please and is there a better way to see if the HC is working?
  25. I'm thinking about upgrading my i7 950 to an Intel Haswell system soon. There are lots of reviews of Haswell out this weekend but none that I've read tested Arma 2 or 3alpha so i'm just wondering if anyone here has heard of any improvements with Arma 2/3alpha and Haswell?
