Arma II and Operation Arrowhead Islands successfully imported
JRobin replied to sakura_chan's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I don't think he can release it as an addon(Just my unintelligent guess from recent events), but he could probably release the tutorial 'in noob language'! :P -
Large S.T.A.L.K.E.R. inspired Island "NOVA ZONA"
JRobin replied to meshcarver's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Looks fantastic! I have a feeling that if it starts raining, I'm prooooooobably going to hunker down in one of those. Just to avoid the dreaded knocking. :P -
A.C.R.E - Advanced Combat Radio Environment for Arma 3
JRobin replied to noubernou's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Yup! As are all of you, I'm super excited to use this! But think of it this way, the more time they spend working out problems, the better the release will be! -
Looks great! But once you finish, the only problem is, how badly will it defeat the AH-66 in-game? :P
-
I like it! And if my exhausted mind is correct, I believe you've even set the names correctly! Jolly good show!

Kiory's WIP Thread "Current Task: Scar Mk13* (May possibly to requests later on)
JRobin replied to kiory's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Looks great! Can't wait to try it out! -
I dunno about the poly count. I want to say it was around 8k in A2, but I don't remember. But as for guns, how about one of the most well-known PDW's of all time? The Uzi? :P And if you need any help with guns of western origin, I can do my best to help ya!

Large S.T.A.L.K.E.R. inspired Island "NOVA ZONA"
JRobin replied to meshcarver's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
It would pretty neat if there was an allusion to the Skadovsk in one of the swamps. Just my random two cents. :P Anywho, again, your models look fantastic! They look like an updated version of something straight out of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.! To put it simply, this and Invasion 1944 are my two most watched threads right now. -

A DISPOSABLE unguided rocket launcher? You have made my day. -
Looks pretty good! I enjoyed the OFrP mod for II, looking forward to having a true NATO force!

Personally, I could do without the helmet. But the uniform is okay. Anywho, about the actual mod! It's beautiful! Can't wait to see more! -
Patience. That is all I can say.
-
That's a good question. Maybe economic issues forced military cutbacks, and they had to pull a portion of them from the island? Therefore allowing the OpFor to capture it, or circumnavigate it? Fun what if! Can't wait for the maps people will make, maybe someone will make one based on Cyprus!
-
Alright. So then that ups the stakes a bit, therefore the OpFor units would probably be pretty well trained if the invasion was recent. I would be nice to have a TO&E on this stuff, it'd make it easier.
-
In all honesty, the OpFor soldiers remind me of Ghost Recon. With that out of the way! I think it'd be interesting, in this storyline, to see how logistics are affected. For instance, shipping through the Suez Canal could possibly be cut off by war, and with the Iranians holding an island in the Med, then that would be a stepping stone to invading Greece, and therefore controlling half of the Med. Let's say that the Russian Federation is again fighting NATO in the ArmAverse. If the Russians are allied with Iran, then this also allows another opportunity. They can consolidate their forces to push NATO out of the Balkans, and possibly back further. Just my uninformed two cents.

Community interest in Rearmed for ArmA 3 (integration of A2 and OA content with A3)
JRobin replied to OMAC's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
It would be interesting, yes, but practical? With all the new changes I doubt it would be very easy or possible, even. With the new reload animations, loadout changes, and the like, I doubt that it would be a good idea to basically revert back to II with the clunky reloads. But really though, interesting idea. -
Heya! Having not played Kerbalnauts, and having played the living daylights out of ArmA II in the past few months, I'm going to unplug and read Les Miserables. My goal is to have it finished by the beta!
