Essentially, In steam when I have arrowhead downloaded, when I double click it, it asks me if i want to play arma 2 operation arrowhead of run in windowd mode. it runs for a moment. the white strip with the boxes appears and loads about the first box. Sometimes A black steam banner box appears for a brief moment with "installing Battleye" and once that disappears it gives me an error report. Ill place the error report that I have, below specs. With the very same graphics card, I used to be able to play civ5 in dx 11, but can only play in dx 9 now. though my dxdiag says the version im running is dx 11. Im not certain Geforce9800gt is or isnt dx 11.

Hi How are you. Thanks for reading, I need to explain this story. Im a long time fan of Arma and have bought all the games, twice in some cases actually, In a frustrating attempt to get combined arms working. So I would really appreciate assistance with my issue. I bought Arma2 (dvd) ages ago when it released and it always worked. later on many months possibly a year or so later I bought Operation arrowhead on steam. It worked fine. At some stage I deleted it and reinstalled my CD of Arma2. In an attempt to get Project reality mod to work I used some sort of shortcut manager to merge arrowhead (steam) and Arma2 (dvd) together and It worked. I eventually deleted them after many months. Much later I returned and installed arrowhead on steam once again, but this time It would not run, it would install but would not play. I contacted steam support. after a few weeks of back and fourth with this steam tech support guy he eventually gave up on me and suggested I wipe my computer. Which was unacceptable, and still is. I figured because Arma2 was so cheap at the time, I would DL the steam version and did. also hoping that somehow running the two as combined arms from steam might help solve the problem, but it didnt. To this day Arma2 runs perfectly, but operation arrowhead wont even install. I contacted steam support the other day explaining the situation, that I had the equivilent of combined arms and had paid for it almost twice over, and asked if they would simply swop my copies of arma2 and OA for a copy of combined arms. But they instead sent me a long troubleshooting document. So I did the whole thing today. I have gone through it, I updated all my drivers and dug deep to try to solve the problem, and now I have really no idea what else to do except explain myself here. IMO I have exhausted the steam support assistance and would like to know what the official Bohemia tech support would have me do. Regards, Psyko
