  1. Yes! It will! In fact, most of the weapons will be getting this (where it could apply obviously).
  2. Excellent question, because you are correct. The driver of a tank cannot also control the gun. So what I had in mind is just making the M808 a two man crewed tank, one driver one gunner/loader. The gunner will be "hidden" inside the turret of the tank and the driver will remain in the normal position. News from the front! We are generously having some of our weapon models re-done AND textured in the Halo Reach style.   4. We do have a radio backpack in game currently. We can make some more if the need arises. Especially if we make the mod compatible with TFRadio or ACRE (which we are strongly considering).

  6. The thought of it is pretty cool, but as of right now there will be nothing for the AI to do in the ship. They can not activate the scripts (ODST drop and teleporting to different parts of the ship for example) similarly to how real players can and would just be confused inside. And the only weapons we plan to implement right now (if any) are launch-able missiles.
  7. Yes, it will be very similar to how the Nimitz mod works. A bunch of large sections pieced together with some interiors included. There will also be a version like you said, where nothing will be included inside. Basically a big floating box. :) ---------- Post added at 17:38 ---------- Previous post was at 17:32 ---------- In fact: along side of that "challenge" involving the Insurrectionists, if there is a certain mission-related object or building that you think should be included post it with a picture of some kind if possible and we will consider for a later release.
  8. King of the Hill was always one of my favorite Arma 3 game modes. A GreenFor (independent) faction would be needed, but I think it would be a lot of fun.

But now I can't stop thinking about the American forces being the UNSC and the Somali Militia being the Insurrectionists. "We have to secure the Pelican crash site!" "Get him to the Warthog convoy!"
  10. Thank you both for your support! We have a very talented team who work every day to further the mod's progress. It has only been a few months since we started but we are doing very well and hope to have something out for every to play soon. To answer your question snowbionekenobi, no there will not be exosuits. It is much more likely that we will include Spartans before we put in any type of exosuit in the context that you are speaking of. I do have somewhat of a challenge/game for anyone who is willing to participate. Go into Arma 3, and in the main menu go to: Learn > Virtual Arsenal and from there make an Insurrectionist soldier using vanilla assets. Make it however you want and how ever you imagine an Insurrectionist would look like and post a screenshot of it here.
  11. We will be trying to get the best of both worlds when it comes to all game mechanics, not only the ballistics. While the halo universe is science fiction, it takes a lot of its information from the modern world. For example the 14.5x114mm is a real caliber used by the Russians today. As well as the 7.62x51 used by the UNSC and Nato. These will be the main sources in which we get information concerning ballistics data but we will also check the various Halo sources for inspiration. Basically what I'm trying to say is yes, you will be able to take the hat off an Innie at 2000 yards, that doesn't mean it'll be easy though. As for the rockets, we are trying to go mostly "Halo Reach" style with this mod so nearly everything will follow suit to that. We have something in the works that I do not want to discuss just yet until some thing happen but I think it will make everyone happy with the final product (concerning weapons).
  12. It is hard enough to get a 500+ meter long object in as a static object so a flyable vehicle while awesome is basically impossible as of now. So for right now it is just a hovering building. But you can place it in different areas of the map. I just thought about though, but it might be possible to activate a script which teleports the ship and everything inside it to somewhere on the map to give the impression of it moving. And as for weapons, if I had it my way we would try to make all the weapons (MAC, point defense, missiles, etc) function. But it is seeming like all we are planning on including are maybe missiles that can be launched from the archer pods as a "fire mission".
  13. First off, I'd like to thank you for your support of them mod. However, I do not appreciate the context of your post. We do NOT need to start a Marine vs Army flame war here, especially when we are talking about fictional Marine and Army organizations. The only UNSC factions will be ODSTs, Marines, and Army troopers. No specialized branches such as Pathfinders or anything. I can see this is your first post on the Bohemia Interactive forums so please read the forum rules and your own post before submitting.
  14. I am pretty sure taking the weapon sounds from the games is against the fair use policy so I'm afraid that option is not available. But with a lot of this mod, our philosophy is that we do not need to reinvent the wheel for every asset, so similarly to the Innies, we will be using in game assets (sounds).

  16. Yes, you both are right. The colors at the time are mixed only for the rigging process. Once that is done, different textures will be applied. RVmats are also an issue right now, but we have to tackle this ridiculous rigging/weighting process first.

  20. If you really want a project (and this goes for anyone else) we need a concept for the Insurrectionists' MAKO drone that they used. Basically, it would be small (about the size as a human) and have large recon lens and pylons for missiles. Not sure if fixed-wing or rotary-wing is more appropriate. Number one reason Spartan 1s will not be included is because they do not have any distinctions with them. They were simply modified and highly trained humans. Spartans still aren't out of the picture though. Just very looked down upon and if they do get agreed upon, they will be one of the last things released.
  21. Yes, we liked the concept very much. The Halo universe lacked a believe squad automatic weapon (what is Halo 4?) and this one fills that spot very well. They are very similar to each other, so much that I can't really notice any differences but we will use the second picture version.

  23. I am no scripter but I'm sure it wouldn't be that difficult. The drop pod sequence runs off a script so it shouldn't be impossible to allow the Zeus to activate the script in a certain area.
