  1. I think he should focus more on the mechanics than new Wanzer models, but yeah, the Zenith is pretty much a must have... It's the most iconic Wanzer after all.
  2. I googled some facts about Wanzers: Source: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/924653-front-mission-5-scars-of-the-war/55626637 About the roller dash speed: Wanzers like the Frost were only 120km/h fast (like most of the standard Wanzers) --------------- I think the movement should be changed to something like this: Press W 1 time: slow walking Press W again: walking Press W again: running Press S to adjust your speed (running-> walking, slow walking-> stop etc) Controls like in every other vehicle would be great, but I have no idea if that's even possible. Press Shift: roller dash stance (higher acceleration and speed; usable at 0km/h) Here's another video from Front Mission Online: The transition between running and roller dashing is very short and dynamic. The current leg animations should also be a little bit faster to match it more with the "visual speed". Ganbatte, gmwo! It's awesome so far!
  3. That's Front Mission Evolved (made by a different company) which isn't even canon. It's also horrible! I honestly wouldn't even look at FME. For the mod creator: Uniforms and U.C.N. helmets: http://imgur.com/a/yS4J5 (They also wear small backpacks) O.C.U. helmets: http://imgur.com/a/foCBY Crosshairs: http://imgur.com/a/TKJOK (not important) Good movement demostrations: FM5 gameplay: (!!!!)FM5 cutscene FM Online gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exwYpgFrMH0 I'll gladly provide more informations if needed.

    Head Tracking for under 10€

Err, no. Especially not OpenTrack. I compared TrackIR 5 to my IR setup (PS3 Eye camera + clip) and yes, it was either a little bit more precise or a had a little bit faster response, but it was definitively not worth the price. Also, you should get OpenTrack too. It's basically a "parallel developed" and newer version of FaceTrackNoIR with more features and better filtering (Accela Mk4). http://sourceforge.net/p/facetracknoir/discussion/1150909/thread/8771c92d/?page=0 https://github.com/opentrack/opentrack/blob/master/README.md edit: Vielleicht probier ich's aber irgendwann mal aus. ;)

    Arma3 Videos

Excuse me... I have no idea what I'm doing. edit: That's my last "abnormal" video. I swear...

    arma 3 zoombies

They do? This is freaking lame. Mods are mods and should be free for everyone. Want to make money from it? Buy a license of the engine and make a standalone game yourself. They should be taken down if this is really true.

    Arma III is very laggy

Yeah they should really don't bother with optimisation at all. I mean, deal with it or stop playing. Yes, I joined the community a few months ago but I'm playing the "Arma" series since OPF (skipped Arma 1 though because my PC sucked back then). The thing is: People got used to performant engines. Just look how many people complained about the performance when they bought Arma 2 just for DayZ.

    Arma III is very laggy

When you start the game with -world=empty and don't get much better fps than heavy battles in BF3, then there's something obviously wrong. Funny because (the extremly ugly current gen) BF3 has ballistics. Of course not as hardcore as Arma with Ace. And yeah, you really high LoD trees in areas which can't be accessed normally. I really hope to see a detailed destruction system in Arma 4. :j:

    Arma III is very laggy

Why should I? This thread is about the performance. See you when both games are out.

    Arma III is very laggy

Can't wait to quote this when the game is out. edit: Nevermind... Let's compare it with BF4 then.

    Arma III is very laggy

BF3 has big maps (of course not Arma-big) and a long view distance. Even a 64 player battle with lots of explosions and phsyic based stuff runs better than a very small and empty editor map in Arma 3, so please stop using those arguments.

    TrackIR thoughts with Alpha

I don't use TrackIR for headtracking but you should be able to use Roll for leaning. And if you don't like the "cut-away effect" effect, just limit the range (e.g. 200° instead of 270°). edit: nvm roll is way too sensitive too.

global banned on arma 2 going over to arma 3

That's why a global ban should be a global ban across all (Arma) games.

    Update FaceTrackNoIR

Get the PlayStation Eye (NOT the PlayStation EyeToy) and download the CL Eye drivers. The eye can go up to 640x480@75 fps or 320x240@187 fps. edit: Not sure if >60 is supported by FaceAPI because I'm using the PointTracker... and oh well, sthalik already answered it. 6 DOF should work out of the box (for helicopters and jets). Left/right/up/down doesn't work on infantry but you can still rebind it to something else, for example:X and Roll axis both for "Lean" which works way better than single axis. Enable all axis in FT NoIR and rebind everything ingame (center your head and "rebind your head" like you would rebind a joystick). Also get rid of Z for zooming. I'm going to make a thread in the arma 3 section with a video in it by the end of next week.
