I'll put it to you straight....any way to get stratis and altis on the same map? like render both islands at the same time. Could you imagine how fucking crazy a popular PVP server could get? one team on one island and the other team on the other. Crazy SEAL missions, destroying AA set up by the other team. But really any way this could be done? -
I would like "yellow smoke" to spawn in a area and never go out, also it would kill you to walk through it. unless you were wearing a re-breather since there is no gas masks at this time. possible? not looking for a step by step just a nudge in the right direction. I like to figure stuff out on my own.

Do you see that everything in the current dev branch not everything in the final release? just saying. Now as for the issue of (the boats especially) vehicles looking the same. yeah, that does suck. But NOT A FUCKING ONE OF YOU BETTER BE PLAYING COD later cause your the biggest hypocrite of them all and........you have the balls to talk about copy and paste? But seriously real life shows that tanks and aircraft are kinda starting to look alike....i don't mean to say oh the Mig looks like F16....but things are starting to have that "if its not broken don't fix it" thing going on. Yes there is some wild ass aircraft out there but in the context of arma.....do you need a space station? do you need a f-19 in the game? where are you going to use that? Stealth Bomber? Altis is huge but not that huge where that would really be useful. I understand where you guys are coming from with some stuff but some of the comments have me spinning in my seat asking "what the fuck would please you?....someone else to play the game while you watch?" Most of us bought the game in alpha for 1/3 the price so seriously if you want something in the game that isn't in there after full release......its not like we don't have the tools to put it in there......By the way BIS....Im gunna need those first aid modules.......

ok let me ask you Clydefrog.....what do you want? before you answer, let me explain something to you. You ever program? You ever develop a game engine? You ever had fans you had to make happy with your product? No. I had a short unsuccessful stint on the Android market and its not fucking easy at all. Intill the game is almost 75% done you really cant tell what its gunna be like or how its gunna function. First off if a game has now 3 squeals clearly they are doing something right. They please their customers. You have to realize this games we play just don't magically get shit out of a old mans ass. People have to commit time to this. Second its not that bad, quite honestly Id rather have equal playing fields because playing as the Militia in arma 2 sucked major big balls. You have almost zero chance of winning playing with real people. With this equal playing field I can play oppfor if i want to and still feel like i have a fighting chance. If i want a challenge ill play FIA. I just want to know what the fuck would please you....like i said, a space station you can shoot missiles out of? Do you want them to recreate the world so we can fly around the world blowing shit up? na man i dont play COD cause thats just wrong. No i cant think of a better way of wording anything i already said. The (recommended) age of children to use the internet unattended is 13. If at that age my son has not heard the words, fuck, shit, piss, asshole, nerf herder, bull dyke, nut gobbler, or fag bag......I clearly haven't been drinking enough.

Im glad to see other people out there that agree. Seriously though there are some stuff that is missing and should be added for free. Which will likely happen. Second there is some unacceptable things like the boats....for real BIS....like make them different, idk like make the CSAT ones more low profile or something. The Humvee's are fine I really dont mind that as much and the tanks are all shaping up to look the same anyway. The attack heli for CSAT has always looked retarded compared to the nato one. But Ive been shot down more then once by a friend in it so its not useless. First aid modules I would like compared to what we have now (play on easy and you can lay on a grenade and you'll be fine to get up and walk (bullshit)) and yeah more "stuff" but im not looking for 100 planes 300 tanks and 500 cars. Thats just retarded and im not submitting that much space on my hard drive to that when there still porn out there I havent watched (JK but you know what im saying.). Compare Arma to any other shooter out there and Arma wins every time. We should be happy on what we even have now, Idk how many people out there have tried playing arma III for 202 hours then try to go back to arma II....Ill tell you its impossible.

how to use a trigger to "activate" after a script is run

I got a laptop you hack with addaction ["hack"; "hacktop.sqf"] is it possible to have a trigger detect weather the script has run fully and you can only walk so far before you "lose connection" so you have to stay close to the laptop while its downloading. I need the trigger to activate when its done to fire the set task state to successful so everyone knows its time to bail out and go. any way of doing it like that or some other simpler way? -

Mainly what im after is after the laptop is hacked then the modual that dictates it was succesful then sets off the next "set task" mod that provides you with a location to a guy to give the information to. Edit: that part i can handle i just need the trigger to work. -
How do I link supports and taks to player permanently

I need to have the support module and task modules linked to the team leader forever. I have them linked up already but my problem is after you die you lose all that cause you are respawned as "another" soldier and not "yourself"....I know theres a way, ive done it before but just forgot.....whos got a quick answer? thanks in advance! -

I havent updated arma since this morning when the new dev branch dropped. No drivers changed and Im not running any mods other then inside of 1 of my missions VAS and cheep and cheerful (a recruitment script) -

thats great and all but does that guy have like a super computer? I notice stuff when alot of stuff is going on at once, they AI become retarded. they seem to only shoot at other units when they are basically face to face.

whats armas limits? like how many units can be on the map at once? sites? Waypoints? Im trying to make a mission where the whole island is on the brink of war.....does it depend on your computer ring?

what the fuck does "auto jede" or "auto iede" mean. I cant tell what it is. It displays an error about markers then in the hint box it just says auto iede and never goes away? anyone ever see this?

Anyone know how to show the enemy lines....or how to "draw" them your self? I want to show on the map where the enemy lines are. Where bluefor, green, and oppfor controls. I don't like the look of the rings on towns because It doesn't accurately depict where stuff could be. thanks for any help out there.

I build HUGE missions, like will 10-15 task (objective) missions that span the whole map. underwater rescues, heli assaults, large scale land and sea battles, all on one map. Now is there a limit to this? I mean markers, units, triggers, all of it? cause I was play testing a mission and all of the sudden before I added a task to disable mines underwater....the units are acting strange...oppfor and blue for are almost in hand shaking distance before they shoot at each other. they dont take cover ect....did I break the game or did the game break my computer? CPU specs....Dont laugh, I bought all new stuff today waiting to upgrade my rig. triple core amd 3.6 (upgrade: intel core i5) 3.3 gigs of ram (its really 6 but 32bit only recognizes 3.3 upgrade: 4 sticks of 4 gig gskill sniper ram 16gig total) radeon 4600 1 gig ram (bought a amd 7590 1 gig ggr5 so I'll be atleast up to 2011 ha) sry if this in the the wrong spot but it could be a editing issue, such as i have WAY to much going on or to many tasks.....or it could be my Tomas Edison style computer. -

thanks...If I read correctly then AI only use one core, is there a way to make them use more cores or some how limit resources? I looked at "DAC" but Im thinking that once they update to BETA then all the classnames are going to change (like they said they would).....would an updated PC do anything....16 gigs of ram...mean theres more memory for the units to use....idk... -
I mad a mission that involves separate tasks (ie. You and your friends can go seal back cars by the kill farm, or you could get to the radio tower and provide sniper over watch for a blue for extraction team, or you can get on your scuba suit and disable mines for a seal teal off shore that will beach and try to capture a town just a few exaples) its run on triggers and the task modual, once you go to the location you get a hint* to remind you of what your supposed to be doing. My problem is i think i might have to many units on the map at once. Ive seen missions where when you open them into the editor they only have triggers and markers yet when you walk around there is enemies.....how do you do that? the SQF? .INT? how????!!!!! please help me.....also how do I make the circles on the map so players can see when they are entering a friendly base and when when your entering an enemy base or behind enemy line.....THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

thanks man, kinda ran into a new problem....and dont know what causing it.....i posted a new thread, "limitations of my computer or Arma3?" maybe you know anything about that? or can help me with that first....sry If im not making sense, had a few more swigs off the wild turkey then usual rough work day.
