So I just got my Alienware for Christmas yesterday, downloaded Arma II and Arma II OA from my previous amazon download (NOT STEAM) And today I tried installing it (after it was done downloading) It gets to the part where it starts playing that music, completed that fine. Then the BattlEye installation appears, Installs that and right after BattlEye is installed it says something like "3XDAudio1_6.dll is not designed for Windows or... bla bla bla" I know other people have had this error. But it will take me a while to explain and I really dont want anyone not replying to my thread because of how long it would be, I am desperate, someone please reply Anyways so I downloaded the dxwebsetup.exe and ran that: I get "DirectX has determined a newer or equivalent version has already been installed". I also tried running a different file that was specifically made for this arma II directX error and it is called, "directx_Jun2010_redist.exe" I ran that program as administrator and extracted the files, and ran the DXsetup that was extracted as administrator and at the end of the installation it says "An internal system error has occured, please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your Windows folder to determine this problem. I also tried re-running Arma II after all of this and it says after installing battlEye "DirectX was not installed" and just closes(so I guess the old error was fixed..??:confused::confused::confused:). Someone please help me, thanks.
