  1. I'll try this out and get back to you. Thankyou very much. :)
  2. Help. I bought ArmA 2 Combined Operations on disc. I installed it to my DESKTOP and downloaded DayZ and DayZCommander. I have been playing ArmA 2 OA as well as the DayZ mod and it has been successful etc. I recently bought a LAPTOP on which I would like to play ArmA 2 OA and DayZ. The problem is that the laptop doesn't have a disk drive and so I cannot directly install Arma 2 onto it. I tried copying the game onto my external hard drive and copying it onto my laptop. This resulted in a problem which required the file X3DAudio1_6.dll. This was promptly fixed by downloading and installing the latest DirectX from Microsoft. Then I tried to play ArmA 2. It loaded into the usual BIS logo then stopped and came up with the "Bad serial given in setup" error. I have tried most fixes, mainly involving the one where you use the Registry Editor. These fixes usually ask me to find the folders "Software" as well as "wow6432node". I can find these but not the "Bohemia Interactive" and "Bohemia Interactive Studio" FOLDERS. I can find an "ArmA 2 OA" and "Bohemia Interactive" FILES. I have the general idea of what is going on and I have been following instructions given in the fixes but I need some help getting this going. Another option I have heard of but I'm not quite sure of. Can I purchase an EXTERNAL disk drive which I plug into my Laptop via usb, which then I put the ArmA 2 disks in which then directly installs to my Laptop? I have no problems installing the game on my Desktop so I expect this would work without fuss. Thankyou for your time and I'm sorry if rambled too much. Much Thanks, Sobaka.
