The way the system is now is absolute crap. Helicopters in Arma3 need to have some sort of damage system that reflect using bladder tanks and not just a simple hit point, health bar equals zero then explode kind of crap every time a simple tip over or when red. There must be something they can focus on with having explosions when rockets impact to simply forced landings, crashes that don't involve explosions every single time. This is a huge negative in the game that is turning me and a lot of my friends off from this game. Years ago for example, screamin demons over europe used a break away system and games like mechwarrior that have a damage model that transfers damage inwards to a core with break away points like you already have with tail rotor failure and main rotor. Keep working on this issue. Don't simply say oh well nothing to be done. You made it. Try to make this game 64 bit and improve the damage models or implement some better damage system. It sucks. No more half measures and no more bullshit excuses.

Here's a list of some items from my .rpt files I thought to bring to your attention. Hopefully this is helpful. I'm sure you might be aware of some and other items you may not be able to fix due to time constraints or too much work that might be involved to fix like bone joint links and weight painting of mesh. 19:42:57 Warning: usaf_sfs\coverall.p3d:1 Error while trying to generate ST for points: 894, 844, 839 19:42:57 Warning: usaf_sfs\coverall.p3d:1 Error while trying to generate ST for points: 889, 894, 839 19:42:57 Warning: usaf_sfs\coverall.p3d:1 Error while trying to generate ST for points: 889, 839, 834 19:42:57 Warning: usaf_sfs\coverall.p3d:1 Error while trying to generate ST for points: 884, 889, 834 19:42:57 Warning: usaf_sfs\coverall.p3d:1 Error while trying to generate ST for points: 884, 834, 829 19:42:57 Warning: usaf_sfs\coverall.p3d:1 Error while trying to generate ST for points: 879, 884, 829 19:42:57 Warning: usaf_sfs\coverall.p3d:1 Error while trying to generate ST for points: 879, 829, 824 19:42:57 Warning: usaf_sfs\coverall.p3d:1 Error while trying to generate ST for points: 874, 879, 824 19:42:57 Warning: usaf_sfs\coverall.p3d:1 Error while trying to generate ST for points: 874, 824, 819 19:42:57 Warning: usaf_sfs\coverall.p3d:1 Error while trying to generate ST for points: 869, 874, 819 19:42:57 Warning: usaf_sfs\coverall.p3d:1 Error while trying to generate ST for points: 869, 819, 814 19:42:57 Warning: usaf_sfs\coverall.p3d:1 Error while trying to generate ST for points: 1480, 1907, 1901 19:42:57 Warning: usaf_sfs\coverall.p3d:2, too many bones (more than 4) on vertex 146, removed righthandmiddle3 (Noticing a lot of *too many bones* coming up in list.) 19:42:57 Warning: usaf_sfs\coverall.p3d:2 Error while trying to generate ST for points: 1971, 1965, 1967 19:42:58 Strange convex component07 in usaf_rq4a\usaf_rq4a.p3d:geometry 19:42:58 Strange convex component08 in usaf_rq4a\usaf_rq4a.p3d:geometry 19:42:58 Strange convex component06 in usaf_rq4a\usaf_rq4a.p3d:geometryPhys 19:42:58 Strange convex component07 in usaf_rq4a\usaf_rq4a.p3d:geometryPhys 19:43:01 Strange convex component43 in usaf_hh60g\hh60med\usaf_hh60g.p3d:geometryFire 19:43:01 Strange convex component44 in usaf_hh60g\hh60med\usaf_hh60g.p3d:geometryFire 19:43:01 Strange convex component61 in usaf_hh60g\hh60med\usaf_hh60g.p3d:geometryFire 19:43:01 USAF_HH60GMED: Turret_2 - unknown animation source Turret_2 19:43:01 USAF_HH60GMED: Gun_2 - unknown animation source Gun_2 -

MC-130 The attitude indicator (also known as an artificial horizon) shows the aircraft's relation to the horizon does not rotate on the correct axis. When banking left or right, it rolls on vertical axis. AC130 AI Game Logic is not sustainable in JIP. Does not work for JIP (join in progress) missions. AC130AI Game Logic is synchronized to three players and in Game Logic description player names are located p1, p2, p3 Great mod. Thank you so much for putting together something so amazing to add to the game. This and the naval mods will greatly improve the gaming experience. Thanks for your time and hard work for you and your team. -

Bohemia, I hope you can change the helicopters to add in a damage model rather than to have a Hit point system, then when low hp it simply blows up. It's terrible and it needs a damage model system with break off damage points going from outer to inner core system. Helicopters can blow up if hit with missiles but in rl, they do not blow up after coming to a stop on landing and even blow up from simple tip overs and other wing dings, light crashes, forced landings. Have damage transfer inward to the center and have parts detach like you are doing now with the main rotorhead and tail, but go one step further and actually implement a damage system. It's been done with mods, so it is very possible. Things need to be adjusted and some other system for damage would be appreciated. The ghosthawks for example can survive a lot more punishment than currently in game. The system you have for damage is total unbelievable crap and is no where close to anything remotely real.

Question: Does the USAF mod use the old Arma2 missile box? If so, You guys have possibly carried over a very nasty memory leak. The usaf mod loads up after a period of time and fps drops until server crash going into memory dump. ( drop/lag when missiles/bombs used, worse when on f16, same happen on A2 version in mid development of missile box/f16) Tested and retested same results. So far it's related to only @USAF mod only active mod with (intel I74770k - 16gb 2,133mhz ram - w/Nvidia 980 sc.) Objective comments: Great mod, Suggest to reduce the gloss/shine on the texture of the C17 the previous first version from about a year ago was a nice almost flat, grey tone. Possibility to include camo texture/texture options for some models of fighters. Improve both the mesh polygon quality and bump map textures on the hh60g, C17 and F16, within limits of the poly count/vertices of arma3 of course. The flight control panel transparencies on the C17 are behind the mesh dashboard and don't show..on other models like the mc130 it's close but still clipping. Keep up the good work on improving the mod. Adds a great deal to Arma3's combined operations. -
Arma 2 Addon request thread

Since all other threads related to the C-17 GlobemasterIII have been closed I dropped my comment on here to ask if anyone has picked up the mantle on what would be a great addon vehicle for Arma2? -
For another intersting idea, how about firefighting with fire system with class A water and class B foam fires like Emergency 3 game system for firefighting teams. Pumpers, tankers, quint trucks, ladders.

Since all other threads related to the C-17 GlobemasterIII have been closed I dropped my comment on here to ask if anyone has picked up the mantle on what would be a great addon vehicle for Arma2? lifting m1 tanks into battle with c17 would make for good realism and would most likely be used for large maps. Great idea, shame that a great idea is being wasted collecting digital dust bunnies. Someone take up the challenge.

Fantastic work guys. Nice to see people working together on projects and others helping out pick up where others leave off to improve on ideas. My friends and I enjoy adding the Maxxpro into the missions. Very realistic. I hope you continue to tweak it to make it even better. Handling is good and hope you finish the beams interior roof textures. Add wire cutters and mine detector for engineers. Raise the driver up even higher. Driver still can't see over the hood. You have more head room to go...please fix.
