Sure I know that, currently I'm just testing if it is possible to launch sahrani with replaced objects of arma 3 and experiencing several problems. I only work with mikeros tool, depbo'd them with them, too but there are some street files missing (still don't know why.) It doesn't matter If i unpack it with depbo of mikero or other depbo programs, always the same streets say "missing" in terrain builder. Maybe it's just my PC lacking some ressources to finalize. It wouldn't be working ingame if there was a problem with your files. just bulldozer is not able to render, as soon as I take the streets into there. (what doesn't really matter, because I want to replace them with arma 3 roadshapes) As said before, I'm only working with mikeros. :) and I have so many errors when packing and still don't know where they are from and as I am new to terrain building I have no idea how to solve this ='(( I never played sahrani map and don't have any files on my computer so... yeah :) But still... I'm experiencing some serious problems here... :(

Okay i saved the log from the pbotool and hell.... there are so many errors in there :O so many... I'll post it later cause I lost my teamviewer session from here. the only thing I can say is, that all the buildings (who wonders) caused error "cannot load file "\" is no value" or something similar to that. same with the weather... I'll be at home at 4pm an post it immediately

Hi everyone. I made an newer arma 3 version of sahrani for a test and had everything working in bulldozer. textures were shown, buildings were shown and everything else was working fine, too. i then packed the pbo with addon builder and when I'm ingame in the editor the map suddenly appears white. no textures, no sounds when I walk on the terrain and stuff, just the arma 3 buildings are shown, nothing else. I also tried to pack it with pbotool of mikero, but that didn't work too what have i done wrong? =( I have no clue what I need to change to fix that

I had that issue,too and searched for like 6 days to finally solve it myself. I copied arma3.exe and bin.pbo and core.pbo to my P:\ drive. tried to run as administrator, but nothing worked. Then I tried to change things inside my project folder (I was working with sahrani package) and somehow, as soon as I deleted the smd_roads of the sahrani folder it worked. I guess there was something wrong with the files inside... still on't know what. When I run it in arma the streets are fine, but when I unpack the pbo nothings working anymore. :)

I had the same issue and changed it like in this thread, now I have the problem, that bulldozer says "Error Land Grid Reference exceeded range" Grid size:2048 Cell size:10 Terrain size: 20480 sattellite surface mask source: size: 20480px resolution: 1.0 satellite surface mask tiles: size:1024 desired overlap:16 texture layer size: changed to several things, nothing working actually I don't know what happened. I ONLY changed the texture layer size 2 times (of course I deleted actual layers and let TB built them anew).

Hi there, I'm actually trying to convert the old sahrani map to an arma 3 usable map. I wanted to replace some buildings and stuff, nothing big, just for testing. I set up the terrain with terrain builder and stuff, everything seemed to work fine (except for buldozer crashing EVERYTIME) So i tried to pack it and see, if I am able to walk on sahrani and see the new buildings. Now binPBO and Addon builder are both giving me an error on binarizing it. I watched several tutorials and read everything from mondkalb, sgtace and bushlurker and still... I am having this problem. here's my config.cpp (and clutter and stuff... feel free to download it, if i would have posted it here the character-count would be way too large.) KLICKME!

I gues that you already tried to reinstall all. Hopefully you did. First of all: I had the same issue, but i have no clue how exactly I solved it. I think I started Arma 3 Tools as Administrator. If it's not working copy arma3.exe to your directory. then copy bin.pbo and core.pbo and extract them to your P:\ folder (arma 3 tools folder w/e) so that there is a "core" and a "bin" folder in your P:\ drive. After that copy the dll's of steam arma 3 version to your P:\ drive. I somehow managed to solve it like that. But even though buldozer is missing, steam should've recognized that. did you also try to verify your steam-data? Also did you check the exact path on O2? -

Ok, i actually found the problem. I somehow managed to find every problem and solve it except for one. When I delte the "include" stuff at the end of the config.cpp it's all working fine (even though the map just won't show up in the in-game editor...) The log sayd, that the "DefaultClutter" somehow is not defined. so i worked with Bushlurkers tutorial again and changed some things like the class CAWorld: stuff. somewhere there is the "class DefaultClutter;" but it just won't work for me...

Hello there, I'm stuck at my mapdesign. I downloaded mikebart's vegetationset and wanted to use the green grass from this clutter pbo. It's the only one not working. (Maybe because it's the only one from another source) I have the clutter.pbo in my addon folder of my map. so what do I need to do to get this working. Arma's stuff is still in ca folder and all is working fine for me i just can't get other sources working for me =/

worked thanks :D and one other question =) I've got an 20480x20480 terrain and a sattelite image with the same size. But my visitor needs ages to convert it and to create the .paa files. should I resize them? Or just let visitor work? =/ I'm not sure about it

Thanks! =D I used your tutorial for creating my map (like many others too) so simple! :D thanks man :* okay and what about any custom made stuff by myself? so i have my addon folder @blabla and I placed the pbo of my map there and the pbo of my clutters. so its @blalba\addons\map.pbo and @blabla\addons\clutter.pbo how can I use this? do I need to place it at "required addons" as "@blabla_clutter.pbo" or how do i use them? =O I'm so stuck with this :x

I just solved it my way. I can't remember how exactly I've done it. I just know I deleted my ArmaWork Folder. (I saved my own stuff somewhere else for sure) then I installed it anew and made a complete new terrain, but with my old pictures. I coded my own terrain new (the rvmat files) and saved it again in my P:\ownmap folder. then it worked :) -
Hey there, me again. I have another question. My Map is fine now and I want to take a first look on how it looks ingame. I did everything as described in Bushlurkers tutorial. In the config cpp he said, that he'll use takistan within. So i did too, cause I have some desert parts on my map. Bin Pbo packed everything fine. so I had the @xxx\addon\xxx.pbo and I am able to enable it ingame. As soon as i try to go to the editor with "ctrl"+e it says :"No entry in ro\config.bin/cfgworlds" so I decided to take a loog again. I was thinking about deleting the "class takistan" and now it looks like this: Now, as i try to pbo it, it won't work. what can I do now? =( I don't know how to edit the config so it works :'( Ok I solved it my way. But I'm thinking about giving it up... everytime I'm step closer to loading it I get stuck. and now I'm stuck on a problem for 2 days. http://s14.directupload.net/images/121214/ndadc3ll.jpg (219 kB) I get this EVERYTIME. I don't know if I could have written this into my old post, but eventually nobody would have seen my 2. question. so here I go again One simple question. I made some really nice textures for my terrain (including lava and other stuff that has not been in the beginners-content u can download.) When I save them as "novx" they look like every other image (kind of purple) but when I start buldozer they look so f***ed up. Totally hard rendered. Not as smooth, as the beginners-guide contents textures (travaji and pisek etc.) I edited my layers.cfg with colors and theres no tile that has more than 4 parts of a texture in my mask. How do I make my own, good looking smooth textures. I googled the hell outta me but found nothing related. Maybe I'm just too dumb for this, don't know. So I have sand, snow, lava, grass, desert, cracked land, hill-land, mountain-land and 2 others i don't know how to call in english. But all just look the same. When u go really close to the sand layer u can see, that the terrain comes up. Looks like many balls placed onto each other. I don't know how to descibe it exactly ._.

Hello out there I have some troubles on creating my own Map. As far as I started, everything went perfectly. My terrain is goin to be edited now. Forests/bushes/rocks (the content of the normal Arma 2 .pbo's) are placed and work perfectly in all 3 programs. So my map has some areas. Desert/ Gras-forest-hilly lands / vulcanos I wanted tp place some acacia's in the desert part around some kind of an Oasis. But as I tried to place the trees in visitor and open the Map in Buldozer, buldozer won't load the acacias with the error "can't find P:\Ca\brg_africa\acacia_lab1.paa (or something like that). ok, i was going to look if the file is in the named folder. And yep, there it is. I can open it up and edit it, but as I try to open up the .rvmat file I get an I/O error on the file and only can change stuff in text editor. So I was wondering if there was any program running the african content and tried to open the acacias 3ds file in oxygen but here it has errors too. I downloaded it again and again from other sources, in other folders. nothing changed. I just want to get these trees and bushes to run on my map. In buldozer u can only see the meshes... the tree is where it should be, but in white... simply white. any1 may take time and help me with this stuff ._. -

Well thanks mate. so i just need to pull my "ownmap" drive to another place and delete all content on "p". and finally just drag the pictures/configs in my ownmap folder back :D goinna see what'll happen -
Yeah it is. But I got it now. I made the "nopx" images with the paa tool and they looked ok in my opinion. but now I made them with "xnormal" and see... it worked :D Now I have another Problem. My Layer-map has so many colors, that i can't use it, as i want to. Cause buldozer converts the pivture into its own layer map with less colors... T_T now my wet-sand is grass and my hills are sand and stuffs... is there another way, I can make smoother images? http://s14.directupload.net/images/121210/9c2krvgy.png (1458 kB) thjis is my layer now... =/

Okay I will as soon at it's possible (like in 4 hours).
