3rd Battalion The Parachute Regiment Gaming Unit, Is a UK based group, using British Army equipment & British Army Tactics. The Gaming Unit operates as A Company (ACOY) 3rd Battalion The Parachute Regiment Gaming Unit. ACOY currently Comprises 1 Platoon & 2 Platoon Maneuver Support. We have mature members from all over the world of varied ages from 16+! Every new recruit goes through a 5 week intense training course(ITC) after which if they have what it takes and the right mature/fun attitude for 3para they pass out and begin their journey in 3para and they choose where they go but each area has its own training course to complete before you can move forward to make sure you're right for the job! We hold missions every sunday and thursday plus interclan missions, we also have 4 servers and a teamspeak channel! All our members are friendly and we have some characters in our unit some of which are like father figures and we are one big family and try to help each other out the best we can! 1 Platoon Comprises 3 Rifle Sections; 1 Section (1SEC) 2 Section (2SEC) 3 Section (3SEC) – Reserves 1 Platoon Provide highly trained, professional Airborne Infantry soldiers for deployment on our ground operations. Members of 1 Platoon invest time in achieving a primary & secondary Patrol Skill, ranging from an Explosive Ordnance Disposal expert , who clears routes of Improvised Explosive Devices for the transit of troops & logistics, to a Forward Air Controller, who is responsible for controlling Fixed & Rotary Wing aircraft for Close Air Support & Close Combat Attack. As a member of 1 Platoon, you can expect a varied and exciting career. Starting as a recruit, you will complete your Combat Infantryman’s Course with our Infantry Training Centre. This Course prepares you for operational Deployment with the Battalion and will give you the confidence and skills needed to be an Airborne Infantry Soldier. After Completing your Combat Infantryman’s Course, you will be move to a rifle section of your choice in 1 Platoon. 2 Platoon Maneuver Support comprises; Indirect Fire Support Detachment (IDF Det) Maneuver Support 1 (M/S1) Maneuver Support 2 (M/S2) Army Air Corps Flight Section (AAC) 2 Platoon Maneuver Support is responsible for supporting 1 Platoon in it’s ground Operations. Highly Skilled, Highly motivated and specialists in Artillery & Mortar fire, Fire Support and Tactical Air Operations, 2 Platoon Maneuver Support is the back bone of 3rd Battalion The Parachute Regiment Gaming Unit. As a Member of 2 Platoon Maneuver Support, You can expect to become a highly trained, highly qualified, specialist soldier.
