  1. Hello Bohemia Interactive forum users and guests, I am Lieutenant Keating of the 6 Royal Australian Regiment. Who we are. We are a military realism unit for Arma 3, which excels particularly in its knowledge and training of the Australian Defence Force. 6 RAR is recruiting users within the oceanic region; however, we do accept international applications. We have weekly operations and training sessions based off 10+ GMT (See website for times). Our ideal candidate would be one who is experienced with ArmA games, confident in their abilities to work with a team, and one who is willing to adopt a non-combat role to further benefit not just the unit, but the whole community. If you are inexperienced, don’t worry! We have many capable community members who are willing to teach you the basics of ArmA during our training sessions. The positions we have open for recruitment are; Patrolman Trooper Gunner Sapper Scout Medic Signalman Brick Leader Section Leader Platoon Leader Aviation Ranks As for ranking, all new candidates will be given the rank of Recruit and will be asked to attend a basic training session. Once this is complete, you will be assigned the rank of Private. Further ranks will be assigned to members that show initiative in both their training and their conduct during missions. Higher ranks like Corporal and Sergeant will be assigned to members that show exceptional leadership skills and the ability to display good conduct both in the game and while interacting with other members. A similar ranking system also exists for the 6 RAR’s Flight Group, if members wish to join it. What Mods? @Ace @ACRE2 @ADFUncut @AllInArmaTerrainPack @Australia @CBA_A3 @MCC_Sandbox Note: we are still in the process of finalizing the mod pack so this list is subject to change. Rules We do have a few ground rules, however, and this is to establish a safe community where all members can feel welcome. These rules are; 1) No Racism 2) No bullying or intentionally hurtful comments 3) Follow reasonable instructions from both NCO’s and Officers 4) No Excessive Swearing 5) Do not represent the community in a negative way Other than that, there are 3 rules that all members must follow while in game on operations; 1) Permission to speak (PTS) must be followed (remain quiet and only ask urgent questions after being given permission to speak) This usually only applies to mission briefings and training 2) No shooting, use of vehicles or general silliness while at base 3) Follow all orders by NCO’s and Officers Note: Whilst we do not require that members use last names it is recommended How to Join. Our group is new and there is a lot of potential with the regiment. 4. The United Commonwealth Gamer's [u.C.G] is a unit that is dedicated to having FUN and playing in an organised manner, we are a group that plays ArmA 2 as its focus, and we use a simplified and easy to use Mod-Set. The units structure is also simple we have basic ranks from Private to Lieutenant, a member gains rank through experience and training courses, we conduct operations 2 times a week Friday and Saturday nights if there are enough members online we have a Sunday night operation, we operate in GMT +10 time zone. Many units in ArmA 2 focus on a specific nations armed forces, we believe that this restricts the amount of entertaining situations possible for the group to operate in. Driving around in Humvees and shooting stuff may be fun, but can get repetitive. We like to change up our game-play style to keep things interesting. So now you're interested but how do you join you ask? Well, it's easy: TeamSpeak: austs1.gameservers.com:9426 So, about the mods we talked about earlier. Well, here is a list if you want to get started downloading them now: @cba @cba_a2 @cba_oa @ace @acex @acex_usnavy @acex_ru @sthud @st_bunnyhop @st_lb_enhance @stmovement @st_acre_volume @st_interact @acre @jayarma2lib Can't wait for you to join the team!
  5. 12th Special Forces Group (Airborne) Military Tactical Realism Simulation The 12th SFG is founded and run on the basis of Realism and fun. These founding principles will never be lost in the direction of the unit, and unit members will always remain courteous to all other players to maintain the fun within the game. Members may not refuse help to any player, member or visitor. We're all here to play the game, and it's wrong to deny anyone the opportunity to experience the Realism Experience that ArmA 2 - and the 12th SFG specifically - can provide. 1.1 : 12th Special Forces Group Organization The 12th SFG is organized into three main areas - Rangers, SFOD, and 160th SOAR. These allow us to be completely combat effective, dynamic, and flexible on the battlefield. Within our Ranger detachment, each company is broken down into platoons, and each platoon into squads. Inside these squads, you have your two sections, or teams. Teams are made up of 4-5 Rangers each, encompassing a Team Leader, an Automatic Rifleman, an Anti-Tank Specialist, a Grenadier, and a Marksman. Each squad has a Squad Leader and Medic. This creates squads of 10-12 Rangers - a very combat effective force if used correctly. Within the 160th SOAR detachment, each company is also broken down into platoons. The Platoons are made up of four helicopters - Platoon Headquarters' helicopter, and three subordinate aircraft. These may vary from AH-64D Apache Longbows to OH-58D Kiowa Warriors and UH-60M Blackhawks. SFOD Organization is, unfortunately, classified. 1.2 : 12th Special Forces Group Training Training in the 12th SFG is meant to be short, instructive, and teamwork-building. Our training is meant to build small-unit tactics within a large combat unit. 12th SFG Officers are trained in Infantry Combat Tactics, with support of Armor and Aviation assets. Each Ranger or Special Forces soldier in the 12th SFG will receive specialized training in his or her selected MOS, to make them a better soldier and promote the leadership qualities that come from knowing exactly what you're doing and what your job is. Many different courses are available within the 12th SFG, including - • Advanced Infantry Tactics • Advanced Weapons Instruction • Advanced Anti-Tank Courses • Marksman Training • Advanced Close Quarters Tactics • Warrior Leadership Courses • Physical Conditioning Courses These courses teach our Rangers and Green Berets the true meaning of warfare, and make the 12th Special Forces the most deadly combat force on the battlefield. 2.1 : 12th SFG Objectives and Missions The question is often asked "What does the 12th SFG do? What would I be expected to do if I enlisted?" The answer is simple - practically everything. The 12th SFG has the capability to engage in almost any mission or combat operation in the books. As an Airborne Group, the SFG can serve alongside airborne units like the 82nd Airborne Division, and as a Special Forces Unit, the possibility of operating with Force Recon and MARSOC Operators is definitely possible. Humanitarian Aid, Seek and Destroy, Hostage Rescue, Conventional Warfare, Advance and Secure. 2.2 : 12th SFG Enlistment Options & Officer Candidate School Probably the second most popular question to our Recruiters is "What's available for me to sign up for?" And the answer, fortunately, is not quite as simple as the previous one - the 12th SFG has a large number of MOS's recruits can apply for. These include - 11B, Infantryman 11C, Indirect Fire Infantryman 25C, Combat Radio Operator 68W, Combat Medical Specialist 89D, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician 18X, Special Forces Soldier (only available at the rank of CPL) 15T, UH-60M Crewman 15Y, AH-64D Weapons Chief 3.1 : Combat Operations and Tactics The 12th Special Forces Group utilizes many different scripts and modules to create missions on ARMA 2, to keep them dynamic and new. For every combat operation, there will be a roster posted of the units expected to attend the next Operation. In each operation, units are expected to use correct US Army Radio Procedures and Regulations, as well as keep their teams, squads, and platoons in line and on-task to complete their assigned mission. Large unit tactics are utilized to coordinate small unit tactics, such as 1st Platoon using bounding overwatch to flank an enemy company while 2nd and 3rd Platoon pin the enemy down while calling in Close Air Support from Dragon 2-6, OH-58D Kiowa Helicopter. These kind of tactics and organization are used at all times on the 12th SFG server by our Rangers, Green Berets, and airmen. 4.1 : Requirements to join the 12th Special Forces Group The 12th SFG has a set of requirements to join the unit that must be met before any potential recruit will be placed under the Recruit Training Command Roster. 1. Be at least 16 years of age, no exceptions. 2. Have a working microphone and Teamspeak 3. 3. Have a legal copy of ARMA 2: Combined Operations. 4. Have a working Steam account. *NOTE : any requirements not met at the time that said recruit's enlistment is filed must be completed within 7 days, or else the Recruit's paperwork will be recycled and a new application must be submitted. Join the 12th Special Forces Group today! Website: www.12thsfg.webs.com Teamspeak 3: 63.209.37.233:9132
  6. Hi i am TheGmoder and i lead a relatively new community that puts a focus on realism but without sticking to any specific unit or following any real world military structure. This allows us to flexible with what factions we play as and what type of missions we do. We have our own system of ranks and it works, we do not much training because we believe in training through experience, but if there are any specific things we need to go over than we go ahead and do it. At the moment we need people for all positions and yes you can change after you first choose, we don't like to tie people down to a specific role. If you are interested or just want to say hi this is our Team Speak info Ip: 202.125.37.130:9041 No password Hope to be speaking to you soon!
