Hello, I am having some problems regarding Windows 8 and ArmA 2 CO. I am running Windows 8 Pro x64, and recently upgraded from Windows 7 Home Prem. x64. Here are my specs if it helps at all:
Intel Core i5-3570K
2x GTX 570
6GB of RAM
Arma 2 ran fine on Windows 7, everything worked correctly as it should. However after upgrading to Windows 8, the game crashes every time upon loading. I know it is not an issue with the game engine itself and Windows 8, as Iron Front 1944 works fine (Steam version) on it. But I have the CD version of Arma 2 (Not the Steam version) so maybe this is the problem? Unfortunately the game gives me no error code upon crashing or anything, and to clarify, it crashes on the check-box loading (Just after clicking on the desktop shortcut) not the in-game loading. I have the latest Nvidia drivers, and have updated all my motherboard drivers as well, but even before and after updating all of these, the game continues not to work. Anyone got any idea what is going wrong here?
