  1. Hello all, I am working on my first retexture config of the CUP BDU. I can get the unit to load into the editor but I get the error "cannot load texture". I have tested the texture with the SetObjectTexture and it works fine. I have spent the last week searching these forums and the web to find a solution to my problem but none of it is making sense to me. I have came to my ropes end and I don't know what I'm missing so any help would be much appreciated. I got the config template from a YouTube tutorial. I treid a couple of different ones but all ended with the same result.
  2. Thanks 56Curious, I got it all worked out and in game. Now I understand what I was doing wrong with the texture path. When I was packing the PBO from the P drive, I was putting into another folder I had created in the P drive that was giving it another prefix the I was not adding in the path. 3. I am having some trouble with the config for a uniform retexture. I have the retextured uniform showing up in the list in game but every time I select it I get the error No entry 'bin\config.bin/cfgvehicles/example_soldier_f.selectionfireanim. This is my first retexture and I have searched high and low for a possible answer, been at this for over a week now and just cant figure it out. If someone would be so kind as to try and sort me out it would be much appreciated.
  4. Thanks for sorting me out road runner I'm a noob at this and trying to learn as much as I can. So anyways I cleaned it all up and changed the class which it inherits from to B_Soldier_F. When I load uniform in virtual arsenal I don't get any errors but the model is invisible. I can only see his head, helmet, vest, and weapon. If I am using a OPFOR uniform would the inheriting class need to be OPFOR as well?
  5. Been following this thread for a while and I must say these units look very nice. Detail is spot on. Cat eyes on the back of patrol caps is standard for most special operation units such (Special Forces, Rangers, and some Airborn Units). They use them in a special configuration to help identify what unit they belong to. It was also common to see the Cat eyes sewed onto the rucksack on the top pouch in the same configuration. They also had nametaps sewed onto their PC's and just above the left butt pocket on their trousers (Popular with Marines). One other thing I noticed during my time was that Rangers and SF somtimes had the lower pockets on their BDU's removed and re-sewed onto the blouse sleaves, my guess is thats were the idea came from for the shoulder pockets on the ACU uniform and Marine uniform. 82nd Airborne would have been my choice for the default Patch:).
