I know it's an old topic but I have something to add. I have been shot at (like directly at) on multiple occasions in Afghanistan, and I can say a couple of things. Recording a weapon sound or bullet crack is never accurate, it ALWAYS sounds different to a person. A bullet's super-sonic crack not a sound that fades or drags on, it ends as sharply as it began. It sounds VERY similar to those little popping fireworks that you throw on the ground (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bang_snaps). "Auditory exclusion"? No... You hear it every time. The crack is barely audible if the round does not travel past you, otherwise, you can hear it a good 20m away. @SWAT_CDN: What I can say has more "bass" to the sound. - That's from the weapon sound reverberating in a closed room, not from the crack.

"outshined"? I beg to differ... They're still using hitpoints while I'm killing crew based on hit position and angle to the crewman's face! Even the I44 2.65 was doing it better than their fancy blow turrets off stuff. -

I'm sorry fellas. It's my fault for being lazy. Nimrod_z you were very close to what it was. If you're able, just comment out those lines and that'll fix it. The problem was with the macros stuff at the beginning. The fixed version will be released with some other small fixes to other things as well. -

The PzIVD's 75L24 is far from powerful. It is difficult to penetrate any of the Sherman series on a front hull hit. What other "tweaks" are you referring to? -

The Sherman 75mm can score a side penetration on a tiger at suprising distances. (<600m). The higher velocity 76mm is deadly even on frontal shots once it gets out of "shatter gap" range. -

Lol. Thanks for the reply. I just wanted to shoot a sabot through a building and damage a BMP. Or have a sabot through 2 BMP's. When you say "how the surface is set up" do you mean the bisurf stuff? I was thinking that adjusting "caliber" in the weapon config would be much easier than going through all the models... There should be a universal approach to this. BTW, what is "iRL"? Thanks again! -

Just to be clear... A 7.62x51mm ball round penetrates about 6mm of homogenous steel. So would a Sabot round that penetrates 600mm of RHA have a caliber of 100?
